Mediating Effects of Child Care Efficacy on the Relationship between Professional Learning Environment and Turnover Intention (어린이집 전문성지원환경과 보육교사의 이직의도 및 전직의도의 관계에서 보육효능감의 매개효과)

  • This purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effects of child care efficacy on the relationship between professional learning environment and turnover intention. For this purpose, we conducted a questionnaire survey with 237 child care teachers. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, when child care teachers had low professional learning environment or low efficacy, their job turnover intention and occupational turnover intention improved. Second, job turnover intention and occupational turnover intention was affected by professional learning environment. Third, child care efficacy mediated between professional learning environment and occupational turnover intention.

  • 최근 현대사회의 가족체제 변화로 인해 유아 보육의 수요와 보육 시설이 급증함으로써 양질의 보육 환경에 대한 요구가 점차 증가하고 있다. 유아기는 성인과 비교할 때 정서가 불안정하고 급변하는 시기이며 특히 시각 및 청각을 통한 자극에 더욱 민감하므로 유아 시기의 보육 환경은 성장 이후 지적 사회적 발달에 큰 영향을 미치는 중요한 요소이다. 또한 유아의 보육 활동 유형에 따라 이러한 두 가지 이상의 감각을 동시에 자극하게 되면 감각의 통합과 상호작용으로 편안함과 집중력을 향상하는 효과를 가져온다. 본 논문에서는 만 3~5 세의 유아를 대상으로 양질의 보육 환경 제공을 위해 '수면', '학습', '놀이', '식사 및 휴식'을 포함한 네 가지 보육 활동 유형을 상황 정보로 정의하고 각 상황에 적합한 시각 및 청각 환경을 복합적으로 서비스하기 위한 다감각 시스템을 제안한다.

The Effects of Child Care Teachers' Job Stress and Work Environment on their Performance of Roles: Focusing on the Regulating Effects of Ego Resilience (보육교사의 직무스트레스, 직무환경이 역할수행에 미치는 영향 : 자아탄력성의 조절효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine if ego resilience has regulating effects in correlation between child care teachers' job stress and work environment and their performance of roles with child care teachers working in Seoul and Incheon. PASW 20.0 was employed to conduct frequency, percentage, and reliability analysis. For each of the study questions, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and stepwise regression analysis were done. The findings of this study are as follows; First, job stress perceived by child care teachers is found to have negative effects on their performance of roles. Second, work environment perceived by child care teachers such as relationship with the director, relationship with fellow teachers, welfare environment, support for teacher expertise, and factors related to operation or decision making are found to influence their performance of roles. Lastly, in correlation between work environment perceived by child care teachers and their performance of roles, ego resilience has regulating effects, and so does it in correlation between job stress and their performance of roles.

  • The childcare scpace environment greatly affects the growth and development of infant and toddler. Building a comfortable space environment is considered a great social task. Through this study, the current guidelines can be expanded and supplemented by comparatively analyzing the childcare space environment of domestic and foreign guidelines. An integrated guideline with additional suggestions for universal design, scale, dimensions, environment, and finishing materials was derived.

  • 빠르게 성장하는 유비쿼터스 환경 속에서 보육서비스 대부분 기반 기술 개발이나 학습 시스템 기술 개발에 한정되어있다. 따라서 이제는 유아가 성장하는 시기에 필요한 다양한 탐색적 경험이 제공되어 바람직한 성장과 발달을 도와주는 유비쿼터스 환경 기반 보육서비스의 질적 수준 향상을 위한 개발 단계에서 활용할 수 잇는 이용자 중심의 보육서비스 가이드라인에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 이를 위해 유치원을 이용하거나 관련된 이용자의 행태에 영향을 주는 정황(Context)의 중요성이 강조된다. 본 연구에서는 유치원 환경 Context 요소와 보육서비스 개발을 위한 도메인을 선정하고 유치원에서 유아를 중심으로 정황 조사(Contextual Inquiry)를 통해 현장에서 일어나는 다양한 태스크들의 시나리오를 행동 절차 순으로 분류하여 행태 정보를 구조화 하고 유아를 중심으로 관련된 사람과 사물 간의 상호관계에 대한 포괄적인 정황의 흐름을 분석하여 다이어그램을 통해 모델링 하여 사용자 니즈를 도출함으로써 유아의 상호관계와 행태 중심의 유비쿼터스 환경 기반 보육서비스를 기획하고 개발하는 단계에 고려해야 할 요소를 제시하였다.

Social Recognition and legal policy of Nursery teacher (보육교직원의 사회적 인정과 현행법 고찰)

  • The purpose of this study was to suggest the justification for social recognition of childcare staff through a review of Axel Honneth's recognition theory of childcare staff's caring work, the Constitution, the Infant Care Act, and the National Human Rights Commission Act. As a result of the study, first, the poor working environment of childcare staff was confirmed. Despite the continuous intervention of childcare policies to improve the working environment of childcare teachers, poor working conditions such as annual/monthly vacation and rest time guarantee were confirmed. Second, the human rights violations of childcare staff were confirmed. The installation of CCTV installed to prevent child abuse in childcare institutions confirmed not only the human rights violations of childcare staff but also the psychological pressure of childcare staff who are monitored 24 hours a day. Third, this study has significance in that it suggests the justification for social recognition of childcare staff through revision and supplementation of the current law for appropriate performance evaluation of childcare.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of the working-environment and job-satisfaction on the turnover intention of infant-care teachers. For this study, a survey was conducted on 200 infant-care teachers, who work in facilities of Northern Gyeonggi-do. The main results of this study are as follows: First, the turnover intention of infant-care teachers has no statistically significant differences by socio-demographic factors. Second, turnover intentions relate negatively to working-environment and job-satisfaction. More job-autonomy reduces the turnover intention and more job-conflict and job-burden increases the turnover intention. Third, the working-environment and job-satisfaction have influences on the turnover intention of infant-care teachers in the regression model. In conclusion, we need to improve the working-environment and to enhance job-satisfaction in order to reduce the turnover rate of infant-care teachers.

  • This study examined the effects of childcare teachers' job satisfaction and the professional learning environment on their turnover intention. The study sample consisted of 625 childcare teachers in the S, I, and G area of Korea. Childcare teachers completed a self-administered questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using a t-test, Pearson correlation, and multiple linear regression analysis. The main findings were as follows. First, the level of turnover intention was varied by the type of childcare facility. Childcare teachers working in national and public facilities had a lower turnover intention than the facilities of private and homes. Second, the childcare teacher's job satisfaction, professional learning environment, and turnover intention were closely correlated regardless of the type of childcare facility. Third, the childcare teacher's job satisfaction and professional learning environment were significant predictors of the turnover intention. Therefore, policymakers need to address these issues.

  • The purpose of research is analyzing the ecological variables on the effect of child care teacher's happiness. The data was collected by the survey of the happiness factors and ecological variables of child care teachers. The results are listed below. First, of organismic variable, the age and the educational background of child care teacher showed discrimination one's happiness. Second, of micro system variable, the marital status is the only thing that affect the happiness. Third, of meso system variable, the teachers who are highly interact on each other such as, child to teacher and parents to teacher are much happier than others. Finally, of the outside system variable, the teachers who are working at the better working environment and good quality of duty are much happier than others.

Mix Research Regarding Influence Factors of Burnout of Child Care Teachers: Based on Meta-Analysis and In-depth Interview (보육교사 소진의 영향요인에 관한 혼합연구: 메타분석과 심층인터뷰를 중심으로)

  • Objective: This research draws synthesized and objected results regarding the factors that influence burnout of child care teachers. The purpose for this is to understand in-depth of the burnout child care teachers experience at site through understanding their experience in depth. Methods: A mix research method including meta-analysis and in-depth interview was proceeded. Results: The main factor of burnout of the child care teacher is structural characteristics factor. Also through in-depth interview 13 main subjects and 28 detailed subject were found in the factors that affect burnout of child care teachers. Most factors which were meaningful results from the meta-analysis were re-confirmed through the in-depth interview. Out of those, the most effective sub-factor showed psychological factor of self-esteem. Conclusion/Implications: Based on these results, we have suggested child care environment unification, training education process for child care teachers, reinforcement of qualification standard, and accreditation system in order to enhance qualitative child care service and reduce exhaustion of child care teachers.
