Thermal Analysis of Lithium-ion Cell Using Equivalent Properties and Lumped Capacitance Method (등가물성 및 집중용량법을 이용한 리튬-이온 전지의 열해석)

  • In general, the battery module of an electric vehicle (EV) consists of lithium-ion cells. A lithium-ion battery is a secondary rechargeable battery, and it consists of numerous stacked plates that serve as electrodes and separators. Owing to these microstructural features, its numerical analysis is very expensive. Therefore, this study aims to present a simplified thermal analysis model using equivalent thermal properties, and we compare the experimental results with numerical results for 185.3Ah and 20Ah cells. Furthermore, we show the thermal behavior of cells without the finite element method (FEM) or finite volume method (FVM) by adopting the lumped capacitance method (LCM).

  • 기후변화 대응을 위해 세계적으로 신 재생에너지의 분담율(penetration rate)은 갈수록 증가하고 있고, 정부에서는 2015년까지 신 재생에너지의 개발에 총 40조원을 투자한다는 적극적인 계획을 세우고 있다. 하지만 신 재생에너지 중 전력 생산에 가장 큰 비중을 차지하는 풍력발전은 비급전성과 간헐성 등의 제약으로 인해 안정적인 전력을 공급하기 힘들뿐만 아니라 전력계통의 신뢰성을 악화시킬 수도 있는 리스크를 잠재하고 있는 에너지원이다. 이에 풍력발전 등 신 재생에너지원의 출력을 안정화시키기 위한 Smart Renewable 프로젝트가 현재 제주도에서 실증 단계에 있다. 이 논문에서는 한국전력 컨소시엄의 Smart Renewable 프로젝트 대상인 660kW급 풍력터빈과 200kWh급 리튬-이온 배터리 에너지저장장치를 이용하여, 풍력터빈의 출력을 평활화시키는 평활화 제어(Smoothing Control)와 일정시간동안 균일한 출력을 낼 수 있게 하는 정출력 제어(Constant Power Control)의 두 가지 기법을 시뮬레이션 하였다. t 시점의 에너지저장장치 잔존용량을 피드백 받아 t+1 시점의 풍력터빈과 에너지저장장치 합성출력의 목표치를 설정하는 잔존용량 피드백 방법을 이용하여 에너지저장장치의 운전모드, 초기 용량, 평활화 시정수(time constant) 등의 조건 변화가 평활화 제어와 정출력 제어에 미치는 영향을 각각 확인하고, 주어진 기기 조건 하에서 최적의 시정수 값과 운전모드를 도출하였다.

  • Ship Power Management System(SPMS) based on Communication Network(CN) is one of the most significant factor for a safe voyage. Therefore, most of the vessels are using greater capacity generator than necessary to prevent pulsating load for safety purposes. However, It provokes low-load damage and reduces generator efficiency that using large capacity generator. Accordingly, in this paper propose hybrid power system for prevent damage of pulse load. Simulation using NI's LabVIEW was conducted for the design of the power system based on actual navigation data of the ship. Also, propose applying methods for hybrid power system in connection with the auxiliary power system for safe navigation.

  • In this paper, we tried to enable a mobile device as a resource to access to mobile grid networks. By advanced Internet techniques, the use of mobile devices has been rapidly increased. Some researches in mobile grid computing tried to combine grid computing with mobile devices. However, according to intrinsic properties of mobile environments, mobile devices have many considerations, such as mobility management, disconnected operation, device heterogeneity, service discovery, resource sharing, security, and so on. To solve these problems, there are two trends for mobile grid computing: a proxy-based mobile grid architecture and an agent-based mobile grid architecture. We focus on a proxy-based mobile grid architecture with IP-paging, which can easily manage idle mobile devices and grid resource status information. Also, we use SIP(Session Initiation Protocol)to support mobility management, mobile grid services. We manage variation of mobile device state and power by paging cache. Finally, using the candidate set and the reservation set of resources, we perform task migration. The performance evaluation by simulation, shows improvement of efficiency and stability during execution.

  • The long line fishing machine is combined with motor and two disc rollers has used on the small size fishing-boat under 1 ton located in near Jeollanam-do seaside. The long line fishing motor is controlled only one direction because the fishing line is loaded heavily at pulling up. On this paper we made the long line fishing 400W power motor controller which it was usually applied under 1 ton fishing boat, and designed the controller using PWM chip, Half bridge driver and MOSFET for one direction motor control. Furthermore some user convenience devices were added like battery indicator and safety protection circuit for battery overdischarge and battery source wire mismatch connection. So we protected the battery from overdicharging when the battery voltage was below 11.5V and fishermen didn't need to worry about source lines misconnection anymore. We confirmed the test version of controller was the good working condition at land and sea.

  • In this paper, we propose an effective filtering method for skyline queries in mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs). Most existing researches assume that data is uniformly distributed. Under these assumptions, the previous works focus on optimizing the energy consumption due to the limited battery power. However, in practice, data distribution is skewed in a specific region. In order to reduce the energy consumption, we propose a new filtering method considering the data distribution. We verify the performance of the proposed method through a comparative experiment with an existing method. The results of the experiment confirm that the proposed method reduces the communication overhead and execution time compared to an existing method.

  • Present, a portable battery have problem that the volume increases according to capacity Increase. Direct Methanol Fuel Cell is alternative by solution plan of this problem. In this paper, the characteristics of DMFC are analyzed by change in concentration and discharge of fuel in natural convection and room temperature condition. According to the analysis result, polarization by delay of diffusion velocity of hydrogen ion appeared in methanol of low concentration. And if have a lot of supplies of methanol, generation power declines by electric cell cooling effect.

  • 모바일 애드혹 네트워크는 기존의 셀룰러 네트워크와는 달리 고정된 기지국이 존재하지 않고 모바일 노드들만으로 구성된 네트워크이다. 모바일 애드혹 네트워크의 각각의 노드들은 제한된 자원과 한정된 용량을 가진 배터리로 동작한다. 만일 이 배터리를 모두 소모하게 된다면 중간 노드들이 다운이 되고, 결과적으로 전체 네트워크가 단절되는 문제가 발생할 수 있다. 기존의 전송 전력을 고려하여 경로를 설정하는 기법인 CLUSTERPOW는 노드 간에 연결되는 전송 전력을 최소화함으로써 데이터 전송 시 소비되는 전력을 줄이고자 하였다. 그러나 이 기법은 proactive 방식의 라우팅 프로토콜에는 적합하나 reactive 방식의 라우팅 프로토콜에는 적합하지 않다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 reactive 방식의 특성에 맞는 전송 전력 설정 기법인 FSRS(Fast Search Reverse Setting) 기법을 제안하였다. FSRS 기법은 reactive 방식에서 사용하는 컨트롤 패킷 플라딩을 사용한 경로 설정에서의 오버헤드를 줄이고자 클러스터 간 플라딩을 통해 목적지 노드를 빠르게 찾고 한정된 클러스터 간 경로를 통해 전송 전력을 고려한 세부적인 경로를 설정한다. FSRS 기법은 기존의 CLUSTERPOW 기법과 마찬가지로 효율적인 전송 전력으로 경로를 설정하였으며 또한 네트워크 생존 시간을 CLUSTERPOW보다 평균 43% 연장시켰다.

  • Recently the wireless-internet has been spreading extensively. People are spending a large part of their time gaining access to information using a mobile device. However. limited process speed. low bandwidth, the low battery capacity of mobile devices and a high rate of wireless network errors brings out many overheads during service time with server for service. In this paper, we suggest an autonomous service delivery system. which provides mobile agent capability to users that can not maintain a connection. We have developed the system based on java mobile agent technology. Using this system, we can provide more effective services to users when the user is sending requirements of service through a mobile device that has limited resources and can manage the contact server dynamically when new services are added.

  • HEV(Hybrid Electrical Vehicle)의 배터리와 전동기/발전기용 인버터 사이에 전력의 흐름에 따라 바뀌어 동작하는 양방향 컨버터가 장착된다. 이 컨버터는 낮은 배터리의 전압을 승압해 DC-Link 전압을 높혀줌으로써 전동기의 전류용량을 낮춰 줄 수 있으며 그에 따른 전동기의 부피를 감소시키고 손실을 줄이는 역할을 한다. 본 논문에서는 HEV에서 사용되는 양방향 컨버터의 모드 절환을 포함한 디지털 제어 방법을 소개하고, 시뮬레이션을 통해 검증하였다.
