  • The shape learning of elementary mathematics should required a variety of activities to help student based on intuitive understanding. Learning three-dimensional shapes, it is effectively take advantage of actual object, but difficult to check a development figure or various forms of actual object, it is effectively utilizing computers semi-actual object. In addition, the computer to take advantage of even after school resources, the limits of learning something concrete to take advantage complement. This research developed the three-dimensional shapes application of elementary students shape learning to use of Flex and Flash. This application to take advantage of the free observation and causing an interesting and effective learning.

  • Currently, the robot is widely utilized in various educational settings such as after-school classes, and special classes for gifted students. The robot is widely recognized as a useful tool for helping students solve problems. The core activities of programming learning with robot need to provide various problem contexts to the students and guide students' problem solving process. Students gain cognitive and affective benefits when they solve problems with robots. This paper describes the impact of programming learning using robot based on schoolwide enrichment model on elementary school students' creative potential. As a result, the students of experimental group than the students of the control group improved creative personality and ideational behavior, and the gifted students of experimental group than the gifted students of control group improved ideational behavior.

  • As the number os working-class households has increased and As the number of working-class households has increased and the birth rate has decreased, more than a third of all elementary school students are left alone. While elementary schools across the nation have implemented a policy of after-school care, even that has reduced the number of classrooms in the government. As such, parents cannot avoid leaving their children alone at home and wonder about their day. For these parents and older elementary school students, they came up with a service that allows them to plan and implement their own work. The service enables children to develop self-regulating learning skills and allows them to receive feedback through the app on what plans and practices a child left alone at home is planning.

  • For students and staff members who spend long periods of time in school, schools must meet a variety of needs such as learning, rest, experience, exchange, play, culture, meeting, and meals. The purpose of this study is to provide basic data aim at improving the school environment by investigating and analyzing the characteristics of middle school students'. For this purpose, the theoretical data collection : case studies and questionnaires, were conducted to analyze the correlation between student's activities and the space utilization of the school. First of all, a questionnaire survey was conducted on 301 middle school students in Ulsan. The t-test and ANOVA analysis were conducted on the questionnaire results to examine whether there was any difference in the perception of school space. The analysis showed significant correlation between interaction with school space according to the characteristics of students' activities. However, there are problems such as the use of space for various.

  • The purposes of this study were to investigate the relationship between science achievement and student-related variables in the 2006 National Assessment of Educational Achievement (NAEA), the subjects of which included 3% of students within the entire population of the grades 6, 9 and 10. The results showed that the more they talk with parents, study by themselves, and read the books, the higher the students achieved in science. The science achievement was also significantly and positively related to self-regulated learning, adaptation to school life and attitude toward science. It is implied that the approach of stimulating internal motive such as interest, attitude toward science and human relations is more effective in resulting in the students' higher science achievement than focusing on external attitudes such as forcing good study habits.

Factors Associated With Post-Traumatic Growth in Patients With Cancer (암환자의 외상 후 성장에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • Objectives : Cancer diagnosis causes significant distress while it may also bring positive change: post-traumatic growth. This study was conducted to analyze factors that affect post-traumatic growth. Methods : Medical records of 52 cancer patients who received psychiatric treatment at a university hospital in Seoul were reviewed and the correlation between post-traumatic growth and following factors were analyzed: Resilience, Anxious thoughts and tendencies, Mindful attention awareness, Acceptance attitude Results : Using Multiple Generalized Linear model, a positive correlation was found between post-traumatic growth and resilience (B=1.45, p<0.0001), mindful attention awareness (B=0.58, p=0.0030) and acceptance attitude (B=1.29, p=0.0003), while anxious thoughts and tendencies (B=-0.84, p<0.0001) had negative association. Conclusions : Factors that have a positive impact on post-traumatic growth were resilience, mindful attention awareness, acceptance attitude and a factor with a negative impact was anxious thoughts and tendencies; Factors that impact post-traumatic growth need to be taken into account, when approaching the treatment of cancer patients.

  • 지난 11월 20일부터 시행 중인 청소년 보호법이 요즘 이슈가 되고 있다. 이는 그것은 바로 여성 가족부에서 추진 중인 '게임 셧 다운제'이다. 청소년들의 수면권과 학습권을 보호하자는 것인데, 학교에 다니는 청소년들이 방과 후 학원을 거쳐 늦은 시간에 귀가하면, 곧바로 수면이 아닌 온라인 게임을 하느라 제대로 된 휴식을 취하지 못한다는 것이다. 게임 셧 다운제는 만 9세 이상 16세 미만의 청소년을 자정부터 다음날 오전 6시까지 온라인 게임에 접속을 차단하는 것인데, 기존에 있는 정책들과 대립되는 문제가 있다. 본 논문에서는 게임 셧 다운제의 문제점에 대해 연구하는 것을 목적으로 한다.

  • 로봇 교육은 초등학생들의 논리적 사고와 문제해결력 향상을 위한 최적의 학습 도구이지만 교육과정이나 교재가 전통적 교과과정에 반영되어 개발되어 있지 않다. 그리고 현재 모든 초등학교에서 방과 후 교육이 아닌 정규 수업 시간에 값비싼 로봇교구들을 구입해서 모든 학생들에게 제공할 수 있는 재정적 여건은 마련되어 있지 않다. 따라서 본 연구는 제7차 교육과정의 로봇관련 교과 내용를 분석하여 관련내용을 교과 통합하여 로봇교육과정을 구성하고 정규교과 수업 시간에 초등학생들에게 로봇 교육을 하기 위한 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

An Exploration of IT Convergence Methods for School Forests Education (초, 중등 학교 숲 활용 교육을 위한 IT 융합 방안 탐색)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore educational methods for elementary, middle and high schools using school forests via IT convergence. To this aim, we reviewed the previous literature on education using school forests to identify the problems with the existing education using school forests, and conducted interviews with experts to analyze the demands. we proposed an educational method that can utilize the school forests via IT convergence, and explored its validity through content reviews conducted by experts. The findings of this study are as follows. First, we proposed the IT convergence instruction focused on hands-on activities on top of the existing educational contents. Second, we proposed IT convergence instruction that incorporates diverse materials, physical computing tools, and programming tools. Third, we presented methods for utilizing such IT convergence instruction in connection with various elements of the 2015 Revised Curriculum as well as with various other activities such as middle school free semester activities and after-school activities. The school forest is a crucial learning space for the areas related to agriculture and biotechnology. Thus, we anticipate that the IT convergence instruction proposed in this study will lead to the re-discovery and re-evaluation of a value of school forests as an educational space that contributes to fulfilling the objective of the 2015 Revised Curriculum to nurture creative convergent talent.

Development of Robot Contents for STEAM education (STEAM 교육을 위한 로봇 콘텐츠 개발)

  • Educational learning methods that take advantage of a robot provide opportunities for students to develop high dimensional thinking, a creative expression and discovery learning opportunity. It is also perceived as a suitable tool for STEAM systems which can be used in a variety of school curriculums. Therefore we designed and developed STEAM educational contents using robots in this study. This study analyze elementary text books and design the convergence contents from various subjects such as math, science, engineering and art through a robot. This study has developed educational materials by making a robot based on the designed contents. They have been applied to after school materials and then evaluated for comprehension, interest and participation. The results of this study have shown very encouraging evaluations from participating students. Accordingly, this study has shown that STEAM contents that take advantage of a robot have improved student participation, interests, and comprehension in the curriculums. Additionally, integrating STEAM educational content has proved more effective in contrast to being separated.
