  • The frontier orbital energy, superdelocalizability and charge density of a series of benzologous pyridine ligands have been calculated by using HMO. According to ${\Delta}E_{\pi}$ of ligands on the basis of the above results, it is concluded that the stabilities are in the order of 1,10-Phen > 4,5-Phen > 1,5-Phen > 8-Hox > Hox-azoquinolinato. And also, the reactivities of electrophilic, nucleophilic and radical reaction, and bond strength have been respectively studied by superdelocalizabilities and charge densities.

  • For two possible paths of thermal ring opening reactions, the approximate reaction path functions, their norms and the approximate reaction path average energies are computed and compared. Illustrated examples clearly justify the postulate that the path with larger norm and lower average energy has lower barrier height than the other.

  • Purpose : To obtain the actual dose distribution from measured data by doconvolution method using the measured ion chamber response function. Materials and Methods : The chamber response functions for 2 ionization chambers (diameter 5mm, 6.4mm) were measured. and dose Profiles were measured for $10{\times}20cm^2$ field size using two different detectors. The deconvolution of chamber response function from the measured data were performed for these Profiles. The same procedures were repeated for 4MV, 6MV and 1 SMV photon energies. Results : Different dose Profiles were obtained for the same field with the chambers which have the different response functions. Nearly the same results could be obtained with deconvolution for the profiles from various detectors. Conclusion : The effect of the chamber response function can be extracted by deconvolution method. Deconvolved dose profile using various ionization chambers gave better dose distributions. Technical improvements are needed for practical application.

Evaluating characteristics of runoff responses by rainfall direction (호우 방향성에 의한 유역 유출응답 특성 평가)

  • This study examined characteristic differences by the rainfall direction on the runoff responses. The directional characteristics of hydrological components in a basin were quantified by von Mises distribution. The runoff hydrograph was derived using the result of convolution integration of each distribution and this hydrograph was compared with GIUH model and observed data. As a result, it was found that runoff response by rainfall direction was more similar the observed rainfall-runoff data than the runoff result using GIUH model. These results implies that runoff modeling could be improved by considering directional components in hydrologic analysis. This study would be helpful to reduce uncertainties of hydrologic analysis considering a non-linearity of rainfall-runoff process by the rainfall direction.

  • FRP(Functional Reactive Programming) is a kind of embedded language in Haskell, it declaratively program reactive system based on two essential high-order types named behavior and events. This Paper design and implementation RT-FRP(Real-time Functional Reactive Programming) translator for using FRP in embedded systems with many constraints. The RT-FRP translator generates a C Program from an RT-FRP program according to the operational semantics of the RT-FRP language. To show the effectiveness of the RT-FRP translator, we loaded and executed the test program generated by the translator onto a real embedded system, LEGO Mindstorm. According to the experimental result, the reactive system software can be programmed more concisely using RT-FRP than using an imperative counter part although the size of the binary code is rather increased.

  • 본 연구에서는 경기도 설마천 지역에 위치한 독립사면에서 토양수분을 연속측정한 결과를 분석하였다. 관측망의 설계를 통하여 선정한 위치에 탐침을 매설하고 공간적인 분포를 가진 시계열 형태의 데이터를 10cm 깊이에서 수집하였다. 전이함수 모형을 사면에서의 토양수분 전이과정에 대응하고, 이를 실제 측정한 데이터에 의해서 분석한 결과와 비교해 보았다. 전이 함수 모형은 강우 데이터를 입력변수로 하고 토양수분 시계열 데이터를 반응 변수로 하여 전개하였고, 시계열 모형의 전개는 크게 자료전처리, 모형구조의 규명, 모수추정, 모형진단 등의 과정을 통해서 적합한 모형을 도출하였다. 산지 사면에서의 토양수분을 전이함수에 의하여 전개한 모형은 토양수분의 깊이별 변화와 지형적 분포 양상에 따라 특색을 나타내었다. 또한 2003년 가을과 2004년 봄의 전이함수 모형 추정을 통하여 계절별 특성이 나타남을 알 수 있는데, 봄의 토양수분의 분포는 가을의 토양수분에 비하여 큰 변동성과 고차항의 반응양상을 보인다. 본 연구는 전이함수를 이용한 토양수분의 시계열 분석이 사면에서의 토양수분 변동특성을 지형적, 계절적 특성과 연계하여 이해하고 특성화하는 과정의 적절한 도구가 될 수 있음을 보여주고 있다.

  • 자연유역은 주어진 강우에 대해 다양한 형태의 유출반응을 나타내는데, 이는 순간반응함수(Instantaneous Response Function; IRF)로 표현될 수 있다. IRF는 유역의 DEM(Digital Elevation Model)으로부터 지표수 흐름방향을 추출한 뒤 지형분석을 통하여 구한 인자를 이용해 구하는 것이 일반적인 이론이다. 여기서 DEM의 모든 셀에 대해 흐름방향을 부여할 수 있지만, 모든 셀이 하천에 해당하지는 않는다. 따라서 최상류의 셀들은 사면으로, 하류의 셀은 하천으로 구분하여 IRF모의에 적용하게 된다. 사면과 하천은 지표수이송에 전혀 다른 경향을 보이므로 전체적인 유역의 유출반응에 큰 영향을 미친다. 예를 들어 사면과 하천에서의 유속 차이는 IRF의 왜도(skewness)에 주된 영향을 미치는 것으로 알려져 있다 (Botter and Rinaldo, 2003). 하지만, DEM에서 사면과 하천을 정확하게 구분하는 것은 매우 어렵기 때문에 하천시점을 정의하는 데에는 불확실성이 내재되어 있으며, 이러한 점은 추정된 IRF의 불확실성으로 연결된다. 본 연구에서는 하천시점의 불확실성으로 인한 IRF의 불확실성을 정량화하고, 그것의 유의수준을 평가하고자 한다. 이를 위해 다양한 유원면적 기준에 대해 IRF를 계산하고, 그 결과를 심도 있게 고찰한다.

Classical testing based on B-splines in functional linear models (함수형 선형모형에서의 B-스플라인에 기초한 검정)

  • A new and interesting task in statistics is to effectively analyze functional data that frequently comes from advances in modern science and technology in areas such as meteorology and biomedical sciences. Functional linear regression with scalar response is a popular functional data analysis technique and it is often a common problem to determine a functional association if a functional predictor variable affects the scalar response in the models. Recently, Kong et al. (Journal of Nonparametric Statistics, 28, 813-838, 2016) established classical testing methods for this based on functional principal component analysis (of the functional predictor), that is, the resulting eigenfunctions (as a basis). However, the eigenbasis functions are not generally suitable for regression purpose because they are only concerned with the variability of the functional predictor, not the functional association of interest in testing problems. Additionally, eigenfunctions are to be estimated from data so that estimation errors might be involved in the performance of testing procedures. To circumvent these issues, we propose a testing method based on fixed basis such as B-splines and show that it works well via simulations. It is also illustrated via simulated and real data examples that the proposed testing method provides more effective and intuitive results due to the localization properties of B-splines.

Study on Electrical Resistivity Pattern of Soil Moisture Content with Model Experiments (토양의 함수율에 따른 전기비저항 반응 모형 실험 연구)

  • Geophysical investigation in non-destructive testing is economically less expensive than boring testing and providing geotechnical information over wide-area. But, it provides only limited geotechnical information, which is hardly used to the design. Accordingly, we performed electrical resistivity experiments on large scale of soil model to analyze the correlation between electrical resistivity response and soil water contents. The soils used in the experiments were the Jumunjin standard sand and weathered granite soil. Each soil particle size distribution and coefficient of uniformity of experimental material obtained in the experiments were maintained in a state of the homogeneous. The specifications of the model used in this study is $160{\times}100{\times}50$(cm) of acrylic, and each soil was maintained at the height 30 cm. The water content were measured using the 5TE sensors (water contents sensors) which is installed 7 ~ 8 cm apart vertically by plugging to floor. The results of the resistivity behavior pattern for Jumunjin standard sand was found to be sensitive to the water content, while the weathered granite soil was showing lower resistivity over the time, and there was no significant change in behavior pattern observed. So, it results that the Jumunjin standard sand's particle current conduction was better than the weathered granite soil's particle through contact with the distilled water. This lab test was also compared with the result of a test bed site composed of similar weathered soil. It was confirmed that these experiments were underlying research of non-destructive investigation techniques to improve the accuracy to estimate the geotechnical parameter.
