Studies on Methacrylate Finish with Silk Fabrics and their Anticrease (Methacrylate 견직물가공과 방추도개선에 대한 연구)

  • These studies are carried out to improve silk availability for anticrease by useing methacrylate monomer polymerization method with in silk fiber. For this purpose, degree of anticrease, stiffness and shrinkage of various silk fabrics, included finish or not, after repeat of washings and polyster fabric was compared as standard. The adopted samples are ; 1. Polyester, Georgette, Woven density…90cm-85g/m 2. Silk, Twill, Degumed, Light, Woven density…90cm-90g/m 3. Silk, Twill, Degumed, Heavy, Woven density…90cm-200g/m 4. Silk, Stain, Degumed, Light, Woven density…90cm-90g/m The reached results are as followings. 1. The results of improving on anticrease by the finished method were about ten per cent increase against their original samples. 2. The light density silks showed satisfactory improve for anticrease, but the heavy one remained as rather poor condition. 3. The results for degree of textile stiffness were investigated to make sure reserve their textile feeling and observed to be good condition upon the finish work. 4. Textile shrinkage after the repeat of soap wash was investigated on indivisual test sample and silk fabrics showed more shrinkage than polyester which it seemed to be tentering shrinkage druning their general finishing processes. 5. The investigation showed that anticrease, stiffness and shrinkage of the sample textile were more or less deteriorated regardless silk or polyester by the repeat of washings. These matters are considered that such results were obtained because of the fiber fatigue nature. 6. The report reached that silk textiles should be used by dry cleaning methed after finish of any resin finish to reserve their improved anticrease nature.

한지 도침처리에 따른 광택도 및 강도적 성질 변화

  • 본 연구에서는 한지가공공정의 하나인 도침공정을 현대의 칼렌다링 공정과 비교 분석을 실시한다. 도침은 커다란 나무뭉치를 사용하여 반복적으로 여러 장이 겹쳐 진 한지를 두두림으로서 한지 표면을 평활하게 하며, 광택도를 높이는 효과를 볼 수 있다. 나무뭉치는 밑면이 평활해야만 할 것이다. 보통 한지 제조업자들은 경험 을 토대로 얼마만큼의 도침이 필요한지 결정하고 실시하곤 한다. 이러한 도침공정 에서 현대의 칼렌다링이 할 수 없는 중요한 공정이 존재한다면, 현대의 초지기에도 이러한 원리를 적용함으로써 효과적인 종이의 품질개선을 이룰 수 있는 여지가 충 분히 있다고 판단된다. 한지에 있어서 도침의 역할이 무었인지, 도침은 칼렌다링으 로 대치할 수 있는 지 둥을 비교 검토하였다. 도침공정 연구를 위하여 라이너지 한 종류, 백상지 한종류, 최근에 제조된 전통 한지 세 종류를 사용하였다. 라이너지와 백상지는 일반 제지공장에서 제조되는 방 식을 그대로 사용하여 기계 칼렌다를 통과한 샘플을 얻었으며 칼렌다를 통과하지 않은 라이너지와 백상지를 특별히 같은 지종에서 얻어서 실험을 실시하였다. 기계 칼렌다링을 하지않은 라이너지와 백상지 세 종류의 전통한지는 실험실 칼렌다를 통과시켰고, 또 각각에 도침을 실시하였다. 샘플들의 기본 물성과 처리조건을 표 1 에 정리하였다. 도침 공정에서 사용한 나무 뭉치의 무게는 약 64Kg 이며, 최대 높이 41cm 로 들어올려져 자유낙하에 의한 충격을 종이에 가하였고, 분당 충격횟수는 63회 였다. 라이너지는 도침 및 칼렌다에 의해 밀도가 서서히 증대되는 것을 볼 수 있었다 (그림 1). 도침은 칼렌다에 비해 밀도 증대에 효과적이지는 못하였다. 반면 백상 지에서는 도침이 기계 칼렌다나 실험실 칼렌다보다 현저히 크게 밀도를 증대시킴을 볼 수 있었다 (그림 2). 칼렌다는 종이를 높은 전단력과 압축력으로 변형시키는데 비해 도침은 단순히 압축 압력만을 종이에 가하는 것이 다르다고 볼 수 있는데, 라 이너지와 백상지가 같은 조건하에서 왜 이러한 큰 차이를 보이는 이유를 아직 알수 없다.

Development Process for Decreasing Bitterness of Doraji (Platycodon grandiflorum) (도라지 쓴맛 개선을 위한 공정개발 연구)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the improvement effects of bitter taste of doraji (Platycodon grandiflorum) with different freezing temperature conditions ($-5^{\circ}C$, $-10^{\circ}C$, $-20^{\circ}C$, and $-70^{\circ}C$). After freezing for 4 h, frozen doraji was thawed and dehydrated. Doraji frozen at $-20^{\circ}C$ showed higher contents of crude fat, crude protein, crude ash, crude fiber, and nitrogen free extract. Moisture, crude saponin, and total polyphenol contents of doraji frozen at $-5^{\circ}C$ were higher than in other samples. Weight loss of doraji was significantly different as freezing temperature decreased and the process repeated. Doraji frozen at $-5^{\circ}C$ showed higher contents of saponin and phenol than the control. Hardness of doraji increased as freezing temperature decreased. According to the preference test, Doraji frozen at $-5^{\circ}C$ showed higher preference and less bitter taste intensity than other samples. These results mean that doraji frozen at $-5^{\circ}C$ with less bitter taste could be utilized widely as a food material.

Study on super-hydrophobic electro-spray micro thruster and measurement of micro scale thrust (초소수성 전기 분무 마이크로 추진 장치 및 마이크로 추력 측정)

  • In this article, we fabricated polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE) nozzle treated by ion beam, in order to fabricate polymer based electrospray micro thruster with super hydrophobic nozzle. To obtain the super hydrophobic surface, PTFE surface is treated by argon and oxygen plasma treatment process. The optimal condition is investigated argon and oxygen flow rate as well as the paalied energy level for the treatment process. Fabricated nozzle was evaluated by measuring contact angle, and the surface morphology was examined by using scanning electron microscope(SEM) and atomic force microscope(AFM). We observe that jetting becomes more stable and repeatable on the treated nozzle. And to evaluate performance of fabricated nozzle, we measure micro scale thrust using a cantilever and a nozzle treated by ion beam laser displacement sensor.

  • Recently $6{\sigma}$ quality control is an most important strategy to many enterprises in order to be a top company in the world, because it is an excellent scientific method to achieve the best quality control for their management and products. SY company is a small and medium one that has the quality problem for a long time such as occurring cracks on the surface of commutator at his assembly line while being assembled a rotor shaft and commutator of DC motor. This research was started to improve this problem by $6{\sigma}$ process, and as the results of this study, first, to find three vital fews, second, to get an achievement of about 21% improvement for the fracture strength of commutator, and third, to be recognized to change into $6{\sigma}$ quality control in SY company.

  • The main objective of the study is to offer some basic information in relation to optimal shape and dimensions of the rotating band through the development of three-dimensional finite element method for metal forming analysis of the rotating band whose primary function is to impart spin to the projectile. The three-dimensional metal forming analysis of the rotating band has perfor-med by using recurrent boundary conditions. Such design factors as the outside diameter the total length and the profile of the rotating band must be considered carefully in order to design an optimal rotating band. Above design factors can be determined from such available analysis results as the deformed shape and the deformation load. of the rotating band and the normal pressure of the rotating band on a projectile shell. The remeshings are needed to carry out plastic deformation analysis with severe deformation through which the complete process analysis gets possible. The results can be utilized effectively in determining the optimal shape and size of the rotating band.

  • The effects of fabrication method and condition on critical current density of Ag sheathed Bi- 2223 superconducting tapes by powder-in-tube method were studied. The highest critical current density (Jc) in the whole process was measured in the repeative heat treatment of 250 hour and mechanical deformation of 2 times. These results are suggested that the high-Tc phase at the heat treatment of 250 hour was superior and the good grain alignment at the mechanical deformation of 2 times was analyzed by XRD pattern. The highest critical current density obtained by pressing method was $1.05\times 10^4A/\textrm{cm}^2$ and $0.78\times 10^4A/\textrm{cm}^2$ in case of rolling method. The multifilamentary wires with 7 and 49 filaments were fabricated to check the applicability of pressing and rolling method for preparing multifilaments wire. The critical current density of 7 filaments tapes prepared by pressing showed $0.45 \times 10^{4}A/\textrm{cm}^2$ and $0.20 \times 10^{4}A/\textrm{cm}^2$ for 49 filaments tapes prepared by rolling.

  • In this study Bosch etching process repeating etch and deposition by STS-ICP ASEHR was evaluated. Fundamentally etch depth changes were affected by thickness of deposited PR, $SiO_2$ and depth, and pattern size on the substrate. However etch rates were observed to be changed by variable parameters such as platen power, coil power, and process pressure. Etch rate showed $1.2\mu{m}/min$ and sidewall profile showed $90\pm0.2^\circ$ with platen power 12W, coil power 500W, and etch/passivation cycle 6/7sec. It was confirmed that this result was very typical to Bosch process utilizing ICP.

  • We have developed laser micro-machining technology for fabrication of the micro thin-film inductors. After the thin layers of FM/M/FM films were coated to the silicon substrate by using the conventional sputtering method, the new laser machining was applied to the patterning process that used to be carried out by the semiconductor lithography procedure. A CW Nd:YAG laser operating in TEM$\sub$00/ mode was actively Q-switched to obtain the very short pulse of 200 ns. The laser micro-machining process with pulse energy and repetition rate have been optimized as 5 mJ/pulse and 5 kHz, respectively, to obtain the line resolution as fine as 20 $\mu\textrm{m}$.

  • 본고에서는 고정도 제품을 생산하는 연삭기에 대해 가공물 및 연삭 공구인 연삭 숫돌을 기상에서 측정하기 위한 여러 가지 방법들을 소개하였고 일부는 적응 예를 기술하였다. 소개된 기상 측정장치들은 특히 반복 공정이 필요한 연삭 현장에서 생산성 향상을 위해 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 생각된다. 그러나 관련 연구가 지속된다면 연삭기의 작업조건 자동 설정, 연삭 상태 진단 등, 연삭기의 지능화에도 적극적으로 응용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
