Purpose : We intended to observe cell death and apoptotic changes in neurons in organotypic hippocampal slice cultures following oxygen-glucose deprivation (OGD), using propidium iodide (PI) uptake, Fluoro-Jade (FJ) staining, TUNEL staining and immunofluorescent staining for caspase-3. Methods : The hippocampus of 7-day-old rats was cut into $350{\mu}m$ slices. The slices were cultured for 10 d (date in vitro, DIV 10) and and exposed to OGD for 60 min at DIV 10. They were then incubated for reperfusion under normoxic conditions for an additional 48 h. Fluorescence of PI uptake was observed at predetermined intervals, and the cell death percentage was recorded. At 24 h following OGD, the slices were Cryo-cut into $15{\mu}m$ thicknesses, and Fluoro-Jade staining, TUNEL staining, and immunofluorescence staining for caspase-3 were performed. Results : 1) PI uptake was restricted to the pyramidal cell layer and DG in the slices after OGD. The fluorescent intensities of PI increased from 6 to 48 h during the reperfusion stage. The cell death percentage significantly increased time-dependently in CA1 and DG following OGD (P<0.05). 2) At 24 h after OGD, many FJ positive cells were detected in CA1 and DG. Some neurons had distinct nuclei and processes while others had fragmented nuclei and disrupted processes in CA1. TUNEL and immunofluorescent staining for caspase-3 showed increased expression of TUNEL labeling and caspase-3 in CA1 and DG at 24 h after OGD. Conclusion : The numerous dead cells in the slice cultures after OGD tended to display apoptotic changes mediated by the activation of caspase-3.

Continuous use of SNS with having SNS fatigue influences users mentally as well as physically. Although it is reported that they eventually leave SNS due to experience of fatigue, the determinants of SNS fatigue have not been discovered yet. Thus this study aims to find the psychological factors causing SNS fatigue. This study (1) found out the factors causing SNS fatigue, and (2) explored the relationships between the factors and intentions to discontinue/continue to use SNS. Findings of the study suggested that there are seven types of determinants: Sense of relative deprivation, Relationship concern, Management burden, Information overload, Privacy concern, Reputation concern(after posting), Reputation concern(before posting). It is also found that sense of relative deprivation negatively predicted the intention to keep using SNS while management burden, reputation concern(before posting) predicted positively. Furthermore, the sense of relative deprivation and information overload positively predicted the intention to discontinue using SNS while reputation concern(before posting) predicted negatively. This research examined how the determinants of SNS fatigue affect the intentions to keep/stop using SNS from the two different points of view. The determinants of SNS fatigue experienced by SNS viewers influenced them to have intentions to stop using it, whereas those felt by SNS writers affected them to keep using it.

The 'Joongsancheung(JSC)', a unique term for the middle class in Korea, is defined as a stratum sharing common lifestyles and a certain level of life chances. It involves non-economic factors such as life chance, educational attainment, occupational groups as well as economic factor. Such objective measures as the occupational status of the main breadwinner, family income, and the educational level of respondent, and subjective measures of class identification are used for the operational definition of the JSC. Data from a national survey of 1,515 respondents is analyzed to investigate the change of the JSC in size and the major determinants of class identification. The results show that while there is no strong evidence of any significant change of the JSC by the objective measures during the recent decade, there seems to be a slight decrease in the subjective class identification. In addition, binary logistical regression analysis reveals that self-identification of JSC is heavily influenced by house ownership, along with subjective evaluation of one's own income and property ownership. This study demonstrates that the apparent class polarization in Korean society reflects not so much objective conditions but subjective perception of respondent of his or her circumstance. It is suggested that problems of housing and relative derivation people have as regards income and property should be resolved to alleviate such class polarization in Korean society.

원자력산업살리기협의회 회원기업 대표들은 7월 20일 국회 정론관에서 기자회견을 갖고 "탈원전 정책과 원자력 기업이 상생할 수 있는 길을 마련해 줄 것"을 호소했다. 협의회는 성명서를 통해 "원자력산업은 기술집약적 중소기업형 산업으로 기자재분야는 소재와 부품공급사의 90%가 중소기업"이라며 "신규 원전 건설 계획 백지화와 신고리 5 6호기 건설 중단 방침으로 약 700여개 원자력 공급업체와 95개의 원도급사 그리고 512개 하도급사와 협력사 등이 불안과 일자리 박탈 우려로 밤잠을 이루지 못하고 있다."고 읍소했다. 원자력산업살리기협의회는 무진기연 등 원자력 관련 중소기업 200여개사가 회원으로 가입돼 있다.

공개 키 암호 알고리듬은 사용자의 공개키가 그 사용자와 대응되는지 를 확인할 수 있는 방법이 필요하다. 이를 해결하기 위해 사용자들이 신뢰할 수 있는 인증기관에서 각 사용자의 공개키의 확인서를 발급한다. 그러나 비밀키의 노출, 사용자의 자격의 박탈 및 유효기간의 만료 등으로 인하여 확인서를 취소하여야 할 경우가 있다. 따라서 각 사용자는 상대방의 공개키가 유효한 것인지를 확인하여야 한다. 본 고에서는 지금까지 제시된 공개키 확인서의 취소 여부를 확인하는 방법들을 분석하고 효율적인 방법을 제시한다.

미디어 학자 맥루한(M. McLuhan)은 미디어 테크놀로지의 커뮤니케이션적 의미를 통찰하고 그 미래를 전망한 사상가로 유명하다. <구텐베르크 갤럭시 (Gutenberg Galaxy)>에서 그는 인쇄술에 의해 인간적인 커뮤니케이션을 박탈당하게 되었다고 진단하면서 종이 책의 종언을 예언했다. 인간 커뮤니케이션을 왜곡시킨 미디어가 바로 인쇄기라고 주장하고, 그 인쇄기로부터 인간커뮤니케이션을 해방시킨 미디어로서 텔레비전을 칭송하고 있다. 이로써 그는 미디어가 추동하는 패러다임의 변동을 주장하는데, 전자미디어의 등장이 선형적이며 분리적 형태의 인간커뮤니케이션을 재원형화 함으로써 감성적 커뮤니케이션 패러다임으로의 전환을 야기하고 있다고 설명한다.

최근 인터넷에서 취급되는 데이터들은 개인의 프라이버시를 침해할 수 있으므로 암호화 등의 보안기술 도입이 필수적이다. 특히, u-헬스케어 서비스 사용자는 자신의 데이터에 대한 접근 권한을 위임한 사용자에 한해서만 데이터에 접근가능 하도록 하고 상황에 따라 접근 권한을 박탈하는 능력이 필요하다. 이러한 서비스의 접근권한 요구사항에 근거하여 본 논문은 개인정보에 대한 접근 권한을 위임, 철회 가능한 속성기반 암호기술을 소개하고 검토한다.

Single-person households recently have been rapidly increasing and one reason may be the increment in elderly single-person. Since the change of living patterns is relevant to the government policy direction, it is important to understand how single-person households are clustered and which factors have influence on them. In this study, we tried to detect spatial clusters of single-person households and low-income elderly single-person households after adjusting for deprivation index. A recently developed fused lasso for Poisson data was used for data analysis and we provided the details on how to use it in R. From these analysis results, we observed the effect of socioeconomic level on the clusters and explained the reason why spatial clusters are shown after adjusting for deprivation index.
