Effect of Interface in Three-phase Cord-Rubber Composites (세 가지 상을 갖는 코드섬유-고무 복합재료의 계면의 영향)

  • Cord-rubber composites widely used in tires show very complicated mechanical behavior such as nonlinearity and large deformation. Three-phase(cord, rubber and the interface) modeling has been used to analyze the stress distribution in the cord-rubber composites more accurately. In this study, finite element methods were performed using two-dimensional generalized plane strain element and plane strain element to investigate the stress distribution and effective modulus of cord-rubber composites. Neo Hookean model was used for rubber property and several interface properties were assumed for various loading directions. It was found that the interface properties affect the effective modulus and the distributions of shear stress.

  • The solubilities of caffeine in supercritical ammonia were measured at various temperatures and pressures to represent the relationship between the solubility and the density of ammonia at desired temperature and pressure by means of a simple equation. Using the equation, the interaction virial coefficient between ammonia and caffeine has been determined to give the parameters of Lennard-Jones potential function for the system. Furthermore, there are comparisons and discussions of the interaction virial coefficients and Lennard-Jones potential functions determined by the same techniques from the solubility data of naphthalene in supercritical ammonia and of caffeine and naphthalene in supercritical carbon dioxide from existing data sources others.

Test for Distribution Change of Dependent Errors (종속 오차에 대한 분포 변화 검정법)

  • In this paper the change point problem of the error terms in linear regression models is considered. Since fixed or stochastic independent variables and weakly dependent errors are assumed, usual multiple regression models and time series models including ARMA are covered. We use the estimates of probability density function based on residuals in order to test the distribution change of the unobserved errors. Under some mild conditions, the test using the residuals is proved to have the same limiting distribution as the test based on true errors.

  • The error rate performance of phase shift Keyed(PSK) signal has been evaluated in terms of carrier-to-noise ratio(CNR), carrier-to-interferer ratio(CIR), impulsive index, and the phase difference between signal and interferer in the environment of cochannel PSK inter-ference and impulsive noise. We hays derived a general equation of the probability density function (p.d.f.) of output of coherent phase detector. And the error rate of the received binary PSK(BPSK) signal has been numerically evaluated. The graphic results show us that the best case is the situation of the signal and the inter- ferer meet with orthogonal phase.

  • Beta-binomial model, which is reparametrized in terms of the mean probability $\mu$ of a positive deagnosis and the $\kappa$ of agreement, is widely used in psychology. When $\mu$ is close to 0, inference about $\kappa$ become difficult because likelihood function becomes constant. We consider Bayesian approach in this case. To apply Bayesian analysis, Gibbs sampler is used to overcome difficulties in integration. Marginal posterior density functions are estimated and Bayesian estimates are derived by using Gibbs sampler and compare the results with the one obtained by using numerical integration.

  • This paper presents an analysis of the effects of statistically independent channel errors on the mean-squared error performance of image transform coding systems. The analysis is discussed for several different stochasic statistics of the quantizer input valuse. The stochastic distributions under consideration here are Laplacian, Gaussian and uniform. For each case of the distributions, we evaluate the MSE performance when NBC, FBC, MDC and Gray code respectively is employed for encoding the quantized values of the transformed coeffecients into the corresponding code words. The result of this study shows that what code is desired to be chosen to minimize the MSE for the given stochastic distributions of the quantizer input values.

  • An experiment has been carried out to identify flow patterns in a horizontal condensing flow with R-113. Characteristics of flow patterns were determined based upon a statistical analysis of differential pressure fluctuations at an orifice. The probability density function and power spectral density function of instantaneous pressure drop curves for various flow conditions were obtained. In comparison to the results of air-water flows, the flow patterns in a condensing flow such as annular, wavy, slug and plug could be identified. The experimental data determined by this technique were compared with the flow pattern maps suggested by other investigators. The result indicates that the statistical characteristics of differential pressure fluctuations at an orifice may be a useful tool for identifying flow patterns both in condensing flows and in adiabatic two-phase flows.

  • 구조물이 가지는 에너지의 확률밀도함수를 이용한 능도제어 알고리듬을 제안한다. 구조물의 에너지는 Rayleigh 확률분포를 가지는 것으로 가정된다. 이것은 에너지가 항상 양의 값을 가지고 최소에너지가 발생할 확률은 1이라는 조건을 Rayleigh 확률분포가 만족시킨다는 사실에 근거한다. 제어력의 크기는 가정된 확률밀도함수에 따라 구조물의 에너지가 설계자에 의해 설정된 에너지 임계값을 넘을 확률의 크기에 비례하도록 산정되며, 제어력의 방향은 Lyapunov 제어기 설계기법에 따라 결정된다. 제시된 알고리듬은 LQR 제어기와 비교하여 최대응답을 줄이는 효과를 가지며, 제어력의 임계를 고려할 수 있는 장점을 가진다. 또한 Lyapunov 제어기에서 발생가능한 채터링(chattering)현상을 피할 수 있다.

  • In this paper, a new distance measure for biased PDFs is proposed and a related equalizer algorithm is also derived for supervised adaptive equalization for multipath channels with impulsive and time-varying DC bias noise. From the simulation results in the non-Gaussian noise environments, the proposed algorithm has proven not only robust to impulsive noise but also to have the capability of cancelling time-varying DC bias noise effectively.

  • Triphenylsulfonium 양이온(TPS)은 잘 알려진 광산 생성자(photoacid generator, PAG)중 하나로 양이온성 중합반응(cationic polymerization)의 개시제로 널리 사용됐으며, 유기발광다이오드의 활성층, 폴리머 발광다이오드의 전자주입층을 구성하는 재료로도 사용되고 있다. TPS는 200nm 주변의 빛을 흡수하면 탄소-황 결합이 끊어져 페닐 라디칼과 diphenylsulfonium 양이온 라디칼로 분해되는 것이 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 밀도범함수이론과 시간의존 밀도범함수이론을 이용 triphenylsulfonium 이온의 광학적 특성을 조사하였다. 가장 안정한 구조를 기준으로 자외선 흡광 스펙트럼을 계산하였고, 실험값에 잘 맞는 것을 확인하였다. TPS의 빛에 의한 해리 과정을 알아보기 위해 페닐-황 결합 길이를 변화시키며 TPS의 흡광 스펙트럼을 계산, 여기상태 포텐셜 에너지 곡선을 구할 수 있었다. 결합의 분해에 이용되는 상태들은 주로 점유 분자 오비탈에서 최저준위 비점유 분자 오비탈(LUMO)로 들뜨는 성분을 가지고 있었는데, 이는 LUMO가 반결합성 오비탈이기 때문이다.
