An Analysis and Reformation of National Qualification Framework in Beauty Art-related Departments (미용계열학과 국가역량체계(NQF) 현황분석과 개선방안)

  • I have analyzed the present status of national certifications and qualifications systems in overseas countries in order to come up with improvement alternatives to National Qualifications Framework(NQF). Most national certifications and qualifications systems at home and abroad have introduced, implemented or are in the process of modifying evaluation programs on the basis of Level 8. I have come to the conclusion that certificates and qualification titles equivalent to those for education programs in cosmetology related departments should be developed for high school to the masters and PhD diplomas, at the same time, the certification program to foster industrial engineers as well as master craftsman for skin & nail-care as well as makeup courses that are not available in beauty field, and I expect this study to be used as the basis material for onsite education & training programs for professionals in beauty field whose capability are respected upon acquisition of relevant certificates in relations with cosmetology related education courses.

  • The college's beauty department, which has a globalized education system that breaks away from the uniform beauty concept, can dominate in the fierce competition with other schools, and the development and vitalization of the department is guaranteed. In addition, research on the department name is very necessary to establish internal and external PR strategies for affiliated departments and departments and to analyze the direction of realistic beauty education. Accordingly, as a result of analyzing the trends of the department and department name by classifying the universities in Yeonghonam into four regions, the departments belonging to each region of the beauty department showed the most belonging to the natural science and arts and sports departments. In addition, the names of beauty departments by region are Busan and Gyeongnam, Daegu and Gyeongbuk, Gwangju and Jeonnam, and Jeonbuk with 5 beauty departments (29.41%), 3 beauty design schools (13.04%), and 8 beauty and beauty departments. (50.00%), beauty design departments, 2 schools (33.33%). This study makes it possible to cultivate professional beauticians who cultivate an artistic and creative sense that meets the educational goals of beauty education, and it is expected that it will be provided as a very necessary basic data for the division of departments or change of department name according to detailed majors.

Analysis of the affiliated department and the name trend of the department of beauty department of a university located in the central region (중부권역 소재 대학 뷰티학과의 소속 계열과 학과 명칭 동향에 관한 분석)

  • In the age of population cliff, an aggressive entrance exam strategy for the development of excellent human resources for beauty is very important for the survival of beauty departments and universities. Therefore, for the purpose of in-depth trend analysis of department names and affiliated departments that reflect department characteristics as well as external department promotion tools, we investigated and analyzed department affiliated departments and department titles in 2020 targeting the Beauty Department of Central University. As a result of the study, the departments belonging to each of the four regions had the most beauty arts department (28.57%) and health department (50.00%). In Daejeon, beauty design (37.5%) was the most, and in Chungcheong, beauty care, beauty cosmetics, and medical beauty care (11.11%) were the most. Through this study, it will be possible to analyze the overall characterization trend of the Department of Beauty, and it will be used as an important basic data to suggest the future direction of the department when the departments are merged or separated in the future. In addition, I believe that it will provide a foothold for follow-up research on the curriculum for each department or the change of department name by year.

  • The name of the department is not only a means of notifying the existence of the department, but also acts as an important indicator that includes the overall curriculum, specialization strategy, student management, and employment of the department. The importance of the department name, which is a collection of internal and external public relations, has emerged greatly, but the existing research related to this is insufficient. Therefore, in this study, the terminology used in the names of beauty departments at two-year colleges and four-year colleges nationwide is surveyed year by year to contribute to the establishment of developmental goals that the department should aim for and a systematic analysis for curriculum reform. As a result of the study, in 1994, 7 schools (41.18%) had the most skin care departments, and in 2005, 2013 and 2020, 'Beauty' was 50 cases (21.55%), 67 cases (28.03%), and 92 cases (34.20%), respectively. Through this study, it is possible to analyze the overall trend of the beauty industry, and it is expected that it will be used as basic data when promoting a department name change or opening a department in the future.

Through this study, unlike other studies beauty training colleges, graduate schools, universities and high schools were opened in order, the future belongs to the Department of Health Science or Art as areas of growth that was observed. Statistical results ([Fig. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5] note) similar to the previous studies, but the rise in the proportion of male students, majors, the beauty of the segmentation and high school education is not the beginning of the percentage of high school increased so that it was able to find the differences. This study is to be excuse inadequacy of date selection for only certain number of beauty educational facilities, the learner-centered surveyors, and a lack of ditailled educational curriculum and in-depted researched on educational method, which it is to modofied and supplement in future.

    • Along with hair beauty, skin beauty, and nail beauty, according to the rapidly changing social flow of industrialization and appearanceism, makeup is acting as an important means for successful social life and smooth human relationships. Accordingly, the realistic need to increase sales of the beauty industry by investigating individual preferred makeup colors from various angles is emerging. Therefore, the makeup interest and color preference according to the pursuit of appearance management were analyzed for women in their teens to 40s living in Gwangju Metropolitan City and Jeollanam-do. As a result of the study, it was found that service workers, students, and teenagers and younger usually wear a lot of makeup. ) was found to be the most used. Through this study, I believe that it will be used as basic data for future makeup product development as well as application data for color selection by makeup artists as well as to increase sales of beauty shops.

    • The purpose of this study is to examine the present operation process and to suggest the points of improvement so that vocational education and training institutions can be activated more effectively. The subjects of this study were 250 college students who completed or attended the vocational education and training course in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do, and collected 230 data, excluding inappropriate responses. Data analysis was performed by using the statistical package program SPSS Statistics (Ver. 24: IBM, USA). In this study, frequency analysis was conducted to examine the characteristics of data, and crossover analysis was conducted mainly to investigate the correlation between categorical data. The results of this study are as follows: First, it provides information about vocational education and training course to all general high school students at the beginning of the first year of high school, and then, from the first semester of the second grade, do. Second, it is to open four major courses in beauty education at the same time. This makes it possible to acquire qualifications according to four beauty courses during the training period at the training institute rather than the private education institute where private education expenses are incurred. By training all major courses in skin, hair, make-up, and nail art, you will be given the opportunity to carefully determine the major course that fits your aptitude. Based on the results of this research, we propose a plan to improve the vocational education system for vocational high school students who are majoring in cosmetology.

    • This paper is purposed to study on the relationship of learning style, professor image, academic achievement in cosmetology majoring college students, and to find the effective education methods of them. The research methods are survey with 400 persons & statistics analysis such as frequency, factor, regression analysis, using SPSS V.14. The results are as belows; 1. Learning styles are divided by (1) shirker, (2) participate, (3) stand-alone, (4) dependent, (5) cooperative, (6) competitive, and professor images are divided by (1) professor ability, (2) professor relationship. 2. There is a relationship in learning styles and professor images. Especially cooperative, participate, dependent valued professor ability, shirker devalued it and cooperative, stand-alone, dependent, competitive valued professor relationship, shirker devalued it. 3. There is a relationship on learning styles and the academic achievement. participate, stand-alone, dependent achieve in high glades and shirker, cooperative low ones. 4. There is a no valid relationship with professor images and the students' academic achievement. 5. The conclusion are; there are the relationship of learning style, professor image, academic achievement in cosmetology majoring college students. So shirker need endless motive giving program, participate personal record management system, dependent creative motivating program, participate class attractive factors, stand-alone learner centered program.

    • The K-Beauty beauty industry is emerging as a future-oriented growth industry that creates high added value. Therefore, this study analyzed the trends of the K-Beauty beauty industry, the latest cosmetics industry trends, and previous studies and reports related to global competitiveness with the purpose of suggesting a direction to develop into a promising industry with future value needs and competitiveness of consumers. First, it is necessary to induce the demonstration of social and economic value as an export-beneficial industry by enabling division of roles between industries and governments by sector based on innovation and creativity. Second, it is expected to succeed only when beauty and IT are fused to form and expand an innovation network. Finally, if legal and institutional improvements are preceded to solve the task of creating new jobs and fostering professionals that meet the goals of industrial development, it will be possible to strategize the revitalization of the future-oriented K-Beauty beauty industry.
