SNS(Socal Network Service)미디어로 회자되는 지금의 미디어 환경에서 소통은 미디어 접근성의 중요성과 함께 어떠한 이야기를 가지고 네트워크에 참여해야 하는가에 선택과 집중이 되고 있다. 최근의 미디어 환경은 문화예술 교육안에서도 시각정보 전달을 기반으로 하는 소통구조의 미디어와 예술, 문화, IT가 결합한 컨버전스 형태의 뉴 컬처 미디어에 대한 교육적 인식을 시작하였다. 좋은 교육은 규율과 친밀성에 기반하는데 그 두 가지 모두를 가지고 있는 렌즈기반미디어리터러시는 창의적인 자기표현과 소통이라는 관점을 가지고 문화활동가와 교육생, 교육생의 가족 등 지역사회구성원들에게 사회 참여를 확장시켜 소통의 격차를 줄이는데 일정한 역할을 할 것이다. 이렇게 형성된 모델은 개별 사용자를 넘어 미디어 생산자, 수용자, 유통자 간의 새로운 관계를 모색하는 데 기여할 것이다.

In this paper, we introduce our experience for designing and implementing a media manager in the Integrated Streaming Service Architecture (ISSA) developed by the authors. The media manager is regarded as a necessary module in the ISSA framework for the following reasons. It realizes that from which locations of the media source devices, the media streams are coming. Once it knows where the origin is, the media manager should recognizes what types of stream are. After that, it performs how to chose an appropriate CODEC to handle the recognized input streams efficiently, and what type of media playback device should be selected. In order to do such a job efficiently, the proposed media manager consists of two modules source module and sink module. The major role of a media source module is to make an abstraction for the media streams that are coming from various types of media device. This, in consequence, enables a media manager to consistently handle tlle media streams without considering wherever they come from. On the other hand, the media sink module distributes the input streams to an appropriate media device to playback. One of the remarkable virtues of the proposed media manager is an ability to supporting high value-added database services since it provides an interface between the ISSA and real-time multimedia database. Also, it provides the RTP!RTSP source filter and Winamp gateway modules which allow the flexibility to the system. Moreover, the media manager can adopt any types of new media which in fact will provide scalability to the ISSA.

The purpose of this study is to examine the possibility of combining DOOH advertising, which has fully met the functional requirements of a standalone digital medium, with transmedia storytelling as a expansion of a new advertising area. This researcher examined the concept of transmedia storytelling used in various fields and its application cases in dramas, movies, and webtoons, and analyzed examples of transmedia storytelling approaches in the field of advertising. As a result of the analysis, it was analyzed that although OOH advertising has brought many changes in the way of content implementation with the advent of digital signage, DOOH advertising needs to be approached in a more diverse way in a situation where the boundaries that were considered to be the unique domain of each content are blurring. In particular, it has been analyzed that it can not only fulfill its role as an independent medium but also expand the scope of DOOH advertising by combining it with transmedia storytelling enthusiasts. These results suggest the need to incorporate DOOH advertising with transmedia storytelling strategies.

빠른 인터넷의 확산과 다양한 정보의 등장으로 효율 적인 정보 관리와 저장 시스템에 대한 요구는 증가하고 있다. W3C 에서는 데이터를 표현 및 관리함에 있어서 보여주기 위한 데이터가 아닌 정보 공유를 위한 데이터에 중점을 두는 XML을 제안하였고 빠르게 세계의 표준이 되어 가고 있다. 멀티미디어의 발전에 따른 멀티미디어의 용량 거대화 추세로 멀티미디어 데이터에 대한 저장의 요구도 커지고 있는 것이다. 멀티미디어의 용량은 커지고 있고 멀티미디어의 저장소로서 데이터베이스의 역할은 증대되고 있다. 하지만 기존의 관계형 데이터베이스 관리 시스템으로는 XML 문서와 멀티미디어 데이터에 대한 저장 및 관리의 효율성이 높지 않다. 그래서 본 논문에서는 XML 문서의 관리가 용이한 XML 데이터베이스를 활용함으로써 멀티미디어 데이터의 저장과 관리의 효율성이 크다는 것을 제시하여 이를 실험을 통해 확인하였다.

본 논문에서 구현한 MPEG-4 미디어 재생기는 네트워크를 통하여 스트리밍 서버에 메시지를 전송하고, 스트리밍 서버로부터 전송된 미디어 스트림을 처리하여 사용자의 화면에 보여주는 역할을 수행한다. 미디어 재생기는 서버에게 VCR(Play, Pause, Stop, Jump)이벤트를 전송하며, 리눅스 운영체제에서 동작한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 미디어 재생기는 VCR 연산을 위한 RTSP(Real Time Streaming Protocol)를 지원하며 데이터의 실시간 전송을 위하여 RTP(Real-time Transport Protocol)／RTCP(real-time transport control protocol)를 지원한다. RTP/RTCP를 통하여 네트워크 QoS와 관련된 정보를 획득하며 그 정보에 따라서 데이터 전송율을 조절하고 RTCP를 이용하여 에러 패킷에 대한 재전송을 사용한다. 재전송시 미디어 재생기의 버퍼링 상태와 멀티미디어 데이터의 재생시간을 고려하여 멀티미디어 데이터의 끊김이 없도록 한다.

ATM 통신망에서 멀티미디어/하이퍼미디어 응용 서비스를 제공하기 위한 통신 기능을 분석하고 프로토콜 기능 구조를 제안한다. 멀티미디어 응용 서비스를 효율적으로 제공하기 위해서는 개별 정보 매체 흐름을 각각 지원할 수 있는 다수의 연결을 설정, 유지, 해제할 수 있는 다중연결 관리 기능이 있어야 하며, 하이퍼미디어 정보 구조를 지원하기 위해서는 해당 정보 매체의 흐름을 위한 연결을 동적으로 신속히 추가, 삭제할 수 있어야 한다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 기능 구조에서는 ATM 통신망이 제공하는 광대역 전달 기능 및 통신망 관리, 제어 기능을 충분히 활용하고, 추가적인 기능을 상위 프로토콜로 구현함으로써 효율적인 멀티미디어/하이퍼미디어 응용 서비스 제공이 이루어지도록 한다.

본 연구는 국내·외 미디어 콘텐츠 연구 동향을 분석함으로써 재난 안전 중심에서 바라본 한국의 미디어 콘텐츠 연구 및 활용의 발전 방향을 제안하고자 한다. 연구방법은 국내논문 431편, 해외논문 400편을 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 R 프로그램으로 분석을 하였다. 분석한 결과를 바탕으로 재난 중심으로 바라본 미디어의 속성과 역할을 파악하고 한국의 4차 산업 중심의 미디어 콘텐츠 연구 및 활용의 발전 방향을 제시하였으며, 이는 재난 안전산업 중심의 미디어 연구 분야에 큰 도움이 된다고 본다.

미디어의 발달은 인간의 문화 전반에 걸쳐 근본적인 혁신을 가져왔다. 인쇄술의 발달에서부터 오늘날의 컴퓨터에 이르기 까지 인간의 표현수단으로 여겨져 왔던 매체들이 오늘날이 이르러서는 인간의 사고와 가치관에 대한 새로운 해석을 야기 시키고, 창작의 도구로서가 아니라 창작 자체를 주도하는 능동적인 역할을 하게 되었다. 특히 시각문화에서의 매체의 기능과 시각문화와의 관계를 살펴보고자 한다.

관계데이터베이스를 이용한 XML 데이터저장방법에서 데이터가 삽입, 삭제, 갱신될 경우 인덱스를 제정의해야 하는 부담을 줄여주는 인덱스 기법을 제안한다. XML 데이터를 블록과 블록사이에 많아야 하나의 관계가 유지되도록 블록단위로 나누어 각 블록에 대해 Numbering 스킴을 적용하여 인덱스를 정의한다. 또한 정의된 인덱스를 이용하여 XML 질의 처리하기 Parent-Child Block Merge Algorithm과 Ancestor-Descendent Block Merge Algorithm을 제안한다.
