The trade volume of Northeast Asian countries is increasing and with the advent of the 4th revolutionary era, minimizing the logistics costs of firm is becoming an important competitive factor. With respect to this, in 2006, the government introduced a certified Integrated logistics firm system to improve the competitiveness of local logistics firms and reduce the logistics costs of firms. They argued that the certified Integrated logistics firm system increased the reliability of logistics firms and increased the efficiency of the logistics industry. On the other side, they argue that the system puts a burden on firms and becomes a big business-oriented market consolidation. This study analyzed the efficiency of Warehousing firms using DEA model. The CCR, BBC efficiency and RTS (return to scale) of 15 Warehousing firms were evaluated. This study also suggested the Warehousing firms which can be benchmarked based on analyzed information.

As globalization is making rapid progress, place of international trade based on seaports is changing to airports, which make logistic function in airport getting more important. Airports are required to serve as social overhead capital representing economies of scale as well as a logistic hub for integrating production, sales and transport for multinational corporations. In order to keep regional airport hub, many strategies are required such as development of hinterland and competitive advantage strategies. This paper tried to find determining factors to be a hub airport and competitiveness for hubbing, using the data from Incheon, Narita, Kansai, Nagoya, Singapore-Changi and Taipei airports. As the result of making an analysis of competitiveness of airports and competitive ranking excluding hinterland factors.

중국은 지난 1978년 개혁개방정책을 실시한 이후 연평균 9%를 상회하는 경제성장률을 기록하였고 이는 중국발 수출입화물의 급격한 증가로 이어졌다. 그러나 폭증하는 수출입화물에도 불구하고 중국은 항만인프라의 부족으로 인근 부산항을 이용해 왔고 이것이 세계적인 부산항으로 부상하는데 결정적 기여를 했다는 것은 사설이다. 그러나 부산항이 처리한 환적화물의 경우 2002년에 32.5%였던 환적화물 증가세가 2005년에는 8.1%로 낮아졌으며, 2006년에도 전년대비 0.6%로 기록하면서 성장세가 크게 둔화되고 있다. 이 같은 상황에 처하게 되자 우리나라는 2006년 1월 19일 진해신항 개항과 더불어 기존의 '동북아 중심 국가 추진전략'과 병행하여 '국제물류 네트워크 강화를 통한 고부가가치 물류 허브화 전략'을 수립하여 시행하고 있다. 이 전략은 앉아서 환적화물을 기다리던 수동적인정책에서 벗어나 물류체계의 혁신을 통한 물류 네트워크 확대/ 적극적인 대외 협력 등을 통해 우리 항만이 기업과 환적화물의 안정적인 유치기반을 조성하는 한편, 물류와 금융, 건설, IT 등 관련 산업과의 연계를 통해 우리 물류기업이 글로벌 기업으로 성장하고 세계로 진출할 수 있는 진해신항의 환적화물 유치방안을 마련하여 우리나라 경제성장의 동력이자 미래 경제 전략의 중요한 밑거름이 될 수 있다.

정보기술의 급격한 발전에 따라 21세기의 물류기업은 조직경영에 필수적인 협업화, 유비쿼터스화, 지능화를 특정으로 하는 실시간 물류 역량을 요구하고 있으며, 우편사업의 경우도 예외가 될 수 없다. 본 논문은 우편 정보화 시스템의 실시간 통합성 및 고도화를 실현하기 위한 우편 정보화 전략 계획을 수립한다. 먼저 국내외 우편사업 환경 및 현황을 살펴보고, 핵심현안을 도출한 후 차세대 우편 정보화 목표시스템의 구축방향 및 기본 모형을 제안한다. 본 연구에 제시된 구축방향 및 모형을 토대로 우편 정보화 정책들이 수립되어 지속적으로 추진된다면 우편사업의 생산성 향상과 국제적 경쟁력 제고에 크게 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

개방화 시대를 맞이하여 국내 중소기업에서도 국제경쟁력 강화를 위해 CIM 추진은 필연적인 과제이다. 그러나 정보와 물류가 일치되는 통합시스템의 구 축은 기업내의 사람(Humanware:HM/W)과 업무(S/W) 그리고 설비(H/W)에 대한 단순화, 자동화, 통합화를 실현해야 하나, CIM에 대한 지식과 전문인력 이 부족한 중소기업 입장에서는 CIM추진시 발생되는 일반적인 장애요인과 HM/W, S/W, H/W측면에서의 기술적 문제점으로 인해, 성공적인 CIM구축 이 어렵게 된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 국내 중소기업을 방문하여 분석한 자 료와 경험을 기초로 CIM추진상의 장애요인과 기술적 문제점에 대한 분석을 통해, 한국적 특성과 기업풍토를 고려한 국내 중소기업에서의 한국적 CIM푸 진 대응전략을 수립하였다.

Recently. the interest in Physical distribution has increased in economic geography This paper aims to review and prospect the internatonal physical distribution studies of international trade and international freight flows. And it has examined the changes in methodology of international physical distribution. Author has defined international physical distribution as the physical distribution of international trade and international freight flow The results are as follows : (1) As the methodology of international physical distribution studies developes, the physical distribution should be recognized not only as transportation phenomenon but also as total logistics which is understood as the combination of production and consumption including information flow. (2) The studies about model of international physical distribution flow ill need to study regional relations including urban, in the future. And economic geography and location theory adding culture and behaviour elements will be restructured, because not only state but also multinational corporation appear as trade subject in global economy. (3) The studies for the relation of habor and its hinterland in Physical distribution need to analyze the factors causing habor use with decision-making behaviour of corporation. (4) After oil crisis. as air freight is important, the studies for hinterland and foreland of freight centering international airport are needed because of necessity of light and small freight. flexible Production system, free trade, and high speed freight transportation of freshing food and flowers and so forth.

This paper reviews the current local logistics policy of the Incheon Metropolitan City and prioritizes policy agenda based on fuzzy AHP and IPA (Importance Performance Analysis). The analysis recommends that the city needs to keep up the current good works at the policy agenda such as early expansion of the international logistics hub and improvement of the provincial highway network.The policy agenda including the logistics parks, the transport networks and the hinterland activities are evaluated as overkilled agenda. Revitalization of the logistics database, establishment of an integrated business support center, modal shift, and public logistics support were classified as low-priority policy agenda. The policy agenda of urgent concentration includes development of new logistics business and air cargo industry.

In this study, I have suggested a basic theories in introducing and applying EC indispensible for a positive development of international logistics' competitiveness by the Chonbuk firms, and I assure that the Chonbuk firms can get a full effect in strengthening international competitiveness in worldwide trade war by effectively utilizing the application method suggested in this study as well as by erecting its basic direction. Our market faced an accelerating pressure against a full-scale market opening with the WTO system, and our Chonbuk firms will face a danger that all the markets, domestic and international will be occupied by the foreign enterprises, for we can not win the competition with the foreign enterprises, provided that we do not prepare for the rationalization and effectiveness of management. It will be very significant for our Chonbuk firms to introduce and utilize EC as a method for innovation and rationalization of management as well as a method for strengthening international competitiveness. This study will serve the study of this field, for the purpose of this study is on analyzing its propriety in introducing and utilizing EC. It will guarantee the importance that this study helps the Chonbuk firms to upgrade understanding on introduction and utilization of EC for strengthening their logistics competitiveness, and this study serves to improve international competitiveness in an era of information and globalization.

After the terrorist attack of 9/11 on the USA, the security concern to global trade has been raised. In particular, the USA has actively promoted a series of initiatives and rules such as CSI, 24 hour rule, C-TPAT, and so on in the area of logistics activities, which aimed to better protect the country against the potential terrorist threats. While implementing such schemes called as a multi-layed logistics security strategy, a large number of countries trading with USA are facing with the issues of additional time and costs for inspecting cargos in their logistics facilities. As a result, most countries all over the world have sought a way to minimize the impacts from such strategy. The Korea also is preparing the several security programs operated by various ministries, which are aiming to not only improve the efficiency of trade flows but also to ensure supply chain security. However, many companies are expressing the inefficiency of operating such programs. Thus, this paper analyzed several global supply chain security programs currently adopted by international organizations(ISO, WCO, and IMO) and major countries(USA, EU, and Singapore) and suggested a guideline for developing the national logistics security system.

오늘날 국제화 글로벌시대의 도래, 정보기술의 진전으로 인한 인터넷보급의 확대로 인한 시장 환경이 급속하게 변화됨에 따라 공급체인 파트너들 간의 긴밀한 협력관계 구축의 필요성이 요구되는 상황에서 벤더에 의한 재고관리(VMI: Vendor Managed Inventory)는 시장변화에 신속하게 대응하고 기업간의 투명성을 제고하여 재고삭감의 문제를 해결하는 확실한 방법으로 조달 및 생산 물류관리의 가치를 제공하는 도구로 각광받고 있다. 지난 '98년 국내 최초로 유통업체인 롯데마그넷이 VMI를 도입한 이래로 제조 및 유통업체 및 전 부문으로 확산되고 있으며, 특히 전자 전기 자동차 제조업체의 도입 파급효과로 인하여 수직종속적인 구조관계에 있는 중소부품업체에서도 필요성을 인식하게 되었으며 최근 들어 VMI 도입을 시도하고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 중소부품제조멉체의 VMI의 적용에 의한 물류성과에 관하여 영향을 미치는 효과, VMI의 활동요소와 성공요소와의 상관관계를 검증하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 VMI의 도입 적용을 준비 검토하고 있거나, VMI의 도입적용상 당면문제에 직면하고 있는 기업가, 실무담당자에게 문제해결을 위한 지침을 제공하고, 관련연구단체 및 기관, 학계의 연구자 및 학생들에게 새로운 방향을 제시하는데 의의가 있다.
