  • Recently, various methods have been studied and developed to develop the local cultural contents industry. This research has produced a mobile AR augmented reality game that anyone can easily access by developing contents that can be enjoyed with new tourists. It aims to spread 10 million tourists to surrounding tourist attractions by developing a new storytelling-based AR game using the symbol of Jeonju, which is the birthplace of the Joseon Dynasty, and promote economic value-added activities in nearby stores. GPS technology and AR marker-based action augmented reality games will be newly established as cultural contents based on new regional scenarios. Augmented reality games that combine visual resources are increasing values of local brands by playing games at Jeonju tourist attractions.

  • This study comparatively analyzed the impact of childcare workforce cost on fertility rates across different countries. In the cases of Nordic countries, comprehensive childcare support policies and subsidies for childcare workforce costs were found to have a positive impact on fertility rates. In contrast, high childcare burden and economic pressures were identified as major factors contributing to declining fertility rates in East Asian countries. In developing countries, the effectiveness of childcare support policies varied depending on the socioeconomic context. This study suggests that the impact of childcare workforce cost on fertility rates manifests in diverse patterns across countries, and effective childcare support policies require tailored approaches that consider each country's specific circumstances. In the future, increased social investment in childcare and the spread of a culture that respects the value of care are necessary.

  • The rapid innovation of information and communication technology and its sharp falling prices have brought about the expansion of the Internet, integrating the world as one space under converged space and time. This rapid expansion of the Internet and its application in the economy have spurred the emergence of the digital economy. The Internet has influenced strongly on the changes of not only economic activities but also political, social and cultural activities. In this context, a rapidly increasing Internet expansion renders the rhetoric about the death of distance and about the meaningless of geographical place. However, the development and expansion of Internet induces a growing digital divide among nations and also a spatial inequality in a nation as the supply of the Internet has concentrated towards demand-affluent large cities. A large gap of digital access has been occurred between high income and low income countries according to a measurement of the international digital access index. In a national level, the Internet backbone has been built around large cities which favor a large amount of the Internet demand, and the affordable accessibility of these cities for the Internet services has influenced strongly on the agglomeration of Internet related industries, further inducing the construction and investment of the Internet backbone into large cities as cumulative causation effects. As a result, the expansion of the Internet affects immensely on the changes of spatial structure in a nation resulting in the new spatial phenomena such as centralization, concentration and splintering in the digitalized space-economy.

The prosperity of culture means that artists can create great works and people can enjoy them without boundaries. This research investigated Boundary-spanning roles through the strategic formulation and implementation. Key factors of strategy are information and knowledge management. Boundary-spanning roles link and coordinate an organization with important elements in the external environment. It is primarily concerned with the exchange of information to detect and bring into the organization information about changes in the environment and send information into the environment that presents the organization in a favorable light. Two themes in this article are that organizations can learn and adapt to the environment and that organizations can change and control the environment.

  • With the increased value in digital contents, the influence of social media has increased exponentially over the past years. Focused around those in their teens and twenties, social media has spread its influence to people regardless of one's age or gender. This increased attention is reflected by the public's interest in pets, especially those dealt with in the personal media sector. This paper will focus on the two most popular Korean cat youtube channels called "CreamHeroes" and "SuriNoel." By analyzing the top thirty most viewed videos on each channel, real time streaming, goods based on the cats starring on the channel, and comments left by the channels' subscribers, it can be concluded that people watching videos categorized as "Viewnimal" derive surrogate pleasure from their viewings. The following creates the potential for increased conversation regarding the subject of shelter animals and animal abuse.

  • This study aimed to investigate the main characteristics of the COVID-19 vaccine-related videos spread on YouTube and differences in user responses in the infodemic situation caused by COVID-19. As a result of content analysis of 579 videos related to the COVID-19 vaccine, it was found that all of the false information was written by individual channels. Institutions, organizations, media companies, and government channels reported spread of false information as well as fact-oriented reporting. The progressive channel had a high percentage of positive sentiment in favor of vaccination, and the conservative channel had a high percentage of negative emotion against vaccination. After the vaccination started, the number of videos on government channels increased, and it was found that the number of videos with positive emotions increased. Results of regression analysis of video characteristics that affect the number of likes indicated that personal expert videos and videos from progressive channels received more likes. Combining the research results, we propose a plan to promote government policies regarding the COVID-19 vaccine using social media.

  • Traditional ODA to North Korea (NK) has been unsustainable and politically contentious. This study proposes the design of appropriate technology (AT) as an alternative. We identified NK residents' urgent needs and global AT instances, and classified data by Maslow's hierarchy of needs. As electricity and potable water were identified as primary needs, suitable AT cases were selected. Given NK's extreme isolation, collaborative AT practices with local residents are unfeasible. Therefore we propose a new AT adoption model customized to NK, which emphasizes community-level adoption. We proposed a solar charging station for cooperative farms, a re-design of an AT previously utilized in Africa, and tailored it to fit our proposed model. The study's significance lies in its novel AT adoption model for NK's unique social fabric and the proposition of a specific design case, thus transcending previous relevant studies exploring AT's potential for NK.

  • In a situation where news usage through YouTube is rapidly increasing, this study investigated which attributes of issues news producers prominently report on based on the two-stage agenda setting theory to empirically investigate the influence of various news producers on YouTube. Through the research results, we confirmed that broadcasters have the influence to set the agenda and form public opinion on YouTube, and discovered the possibility of a two-stage agenda setting effect occurring in the YouTube environment. We criticized whether news producers abuse emotional words due to their partisanship when reporting political issues, and discussed that an emotional approach to political issues can have a negative impact on news users' perception of reality.
