This study intends to analyze the meanings and values of shared cataloging in public libraries. Emphasis was on verifying how useful KOLIS-NET is as a tool in order to share bibliographic data and library resources. To the end. this study investigates the recognition and participation of KOLIS-NET in public libraries. Finally suggested is strategies to improve both the poor quality and the poor services. The data needed for discussion were collected by an in-depth interviews with catalogers and a survey with 216 public libraries.

There are many famous, well-known special collections built with unique and valuable materials in the libraries all around the world. These special collections are very important for the public and especially for the researchers. Digital access and the Web have altered the landscape of special collections and allowed increasing numbers of users to locate and access rare and valuable materials of special collections. This change has also affected libraries with the responsibility of building and managing special collections. The goal of this paper is to provide readers with insight into the culture of the special collection and to suggest good ideas for public libraries to build their special collections by introducing the special collection building cases in USA and Korea through investigating the public library websites.

고객상담센터 또는 Call Center(콜센터)는 기업조직상 고객과의 최일선 접점에 위치하여 고객만족 경영의 중추적인 역할인 대고객 communication이라는 막중한 임무를 담당함에도 불구하고, 우리나라학계 뿐만이 아니라, 미국의 학계에서도 연구가 빈약한 분야이기 때문에 연구의 필요성이 강력히 요청되는 분야이다. 2) 본 연구는 지금까지 고객의 요구에 대응하기 위하여 임기응변적으로 설계 및 운영하여 온 우리나라의 고객상담센터, 특히, 전화고객상담 센터(Call Center)의 효율향상을 위한 경영개선 노력을 위한 “리엔지니어링 전략”에 관한 탐색적 연구다. 연구방법으로서는 문헌(주로 미국) 및 미국의 call center 실태조사 자료를 우리나라의 자료와 비교하여 리엔지니어링의 대상을 탐색하는, 소위 선진지역과의 벤치마킹(benchmarking) 방법을 택하였다. 구체적으로, 본 연구는 콜센터의 효율적인 운영을 위한 주요 구성요소인 인적요소 및 기술적 요소 등을 연구한다. 본 연구는 콜센터 리엔지니어링분야의 문헌을 체계적으로 고찰하였으며 특히 미국의 콜센터와 직접적인(head-to-head) 비교를 처음 시도했다는 점에서 이 분야의 향후 연구에 공헌을 할 수 있다고 믿는다. 또한 이연구의 결과는 우리나라 콜센터 관련 기업실무자들이 리엔지니어링을 추진하는데 중요한 참고자료로 이용할 수 있으며 특히, 관련 software 및 hardware의 설계와 개발에 중요한 방향제시를 할 수 있으리라 기대한다.

This study is an analysis on the needs assessment of school library facilities in Korea. After exploring KLA's Standards for Korean Libraries, IFLA's School Library Guidelines and AASL's Empowering Learners, the needs assessment tool of school library facilities was proposed in the previous study. The tool contains 10 major properties on school library facilities. This study gathered data from 507 students and 134 teacher librarians. The result of analysis is as follows: Students and teacher librarians evaluated the importance of library facilities more highly than the current level of facilities. Collection access, convenience and space are revealed more important properties to students and good environment, expandability, collection access are more important to teacher librarians among the properties.

This research was based on Howard Gardner's multiple intelligences theory. The purpose of this study was to describe students' book selection preferences using the theory of multiple intelligences. We have conducted a survey of high schools in the Chung-Nam province, consisting of 100 students, 50 in the high academically achieving group and another 50 in the low achieving group, in an attempt to analyze the relationship between their book selection preferences and the types of students' multiple intelligences. We want to assist in the research data for the reading guide.

해방70주년기념사업으로 일제강점기 동안에 조선인 강재징용으로 구축된 진진동굴에 대한 Geoinformatics 적용 학술조사를 통하여 구조물의 분포와 활용에 대한 내역을 규명하고, 일제에 의하여 자행된 국토훼손의 실상 및 만행을 출판 및 국내외 학술발표 자료로 할용 하고자 하였다. Geoinformatics 적용 조사탐사의 범위는 전국을 대상으로 하며, 서울지역, 인천지역, 대구지역, 부산지역, 제주지역, 대전지역 이외 도서지역 등 미 탐사지역에 대하여 지속가능한 수행을 추진함에 대한 문헌자료, 탐문조사, GIS분석, 지질광물분석 및 공동(空洞)조사 등으로 실시하며, 지표 및 지하조사의 방법은 위성영상분석(Remote Sensing), 물리탐사(전기/자력탐사) 및 동공 확인 시추(구경: 50mm)에 의한 도면작성으로 분포, 형상, 내용 등으로 다음과 같은 조사내용을 제기하였다. 일제동굴진지에 대한 geoinformatics기법의 접근에 의한 기반을 적용해 본 결과 문헌자료, 탐문조사, GIS분석, 지질광물분석 및 공동(空洞)조사 등으로 실시하며, 학술조사의 방법은 위성영상분석(Remote Sensing), 지구물리탐사(전기/자력탐사) 및 동공 확인 시추 등의 종합적인 정성적이며 정량적인 탐사에 의한 적용이 효과적인 결과를 초래할 수 있다는 결론에 도달하였다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze variables affecting the number of circulated books which is one of the indicators representing the library use behavior. For the analysis, 2015-2019 data for public libraries was acquired from the National Library Statistics System. The Latent Growth Model estimating a latent intercept and a latent slop based on the individual library trajectories was applied. The results are as followed; first, the circulation rate tends to be decreased. Second, the most affecting factor on the library circulation decrease was the collection budget. This study suggests increasing a collection budget in order to prevent the library circulation decrease while the library is operating in a daily routine.

우리나라는 농업 산업화의 발달로 인하여 농업용수, 공업용수, 생활용수 사용이 증가하며, 하천에서 직접 물을 취수하여 사용하고 있고 이용 후 생활용수, 농수로 등을 통해 회귀되는 유량이 많아 하천의 유출 특성을 파악하는데 어려움이 있다. 따라서 정확한 하천 유출 체계 특성을 파악하기 위해서는 하천에서 사용되는 물의 이용 특성에 대하여 파악할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 길안천에 운영되고 있는 취수 시설에 대해 문헌조사와 현장조사를 진행하였으며, 조사한 자료를 토대로 하천의 물 사용 체계 모식도를 작성하였다. 길안천 유역의 조사 구간은 대사3교 하류에서 구)묵계교 상류까지 조사를 실시하였다. 문헌조사 대상시설은 취입보, 취수장 등이며, 조사대상은 하천의 유출특성에 영향을 줄 수 있는 시설로 길안천 유역에 영향을 주는 시설에 대해서만 수행을 하였다. 현장조사에서는 현장을 방문하여 취⋅배수시설의 위치 등을 조사하였다. 길안천은 농업용수와 생활용수 사용의 증가에 따라 상하류 측정유량의 반전이 빈번하게 발생하였으나 유출체계 분석을 통해 고려한 결과 안정적인 상하류 관계를 확인하였다. 결과적으로 본 연구를 통해 하천 내 취⋅배수시설 영향에 따른 유출 특성을 고려하여 자료를 검토한 결과 길안천 유역 내의 상하류 유량 반전 시기가 과거에 비해 감소하였으며, 안동시(대사3교)관측소와 안동시(묵계교)관측소 구간의 취⋅배수영향을 고려하여 산정한 유출률을 기존자료와 비교한 결과 일정한 손실고가 유지되는 안정적인 결과를 도출하였다.

The purpose of this study is to find out the ways of protecting copyrights of North Korean works focusing on the limitations on exclusive rights in the South Korean libraries. This study deals with the articles of the copyright laws which are rotated with using materials in libraries both North and South Korea. It also covers related provisions of Borne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works. The past study on the copyright protection has mostly focused on how we protect the copyright of publications and works which are published for profit. This study proposes some solutions from the legal institutional aspects, policy and socio-cultural aspects in order to protect the copyright of North Korean works and improve their use under the limitations on exclusive rights by libraries.

The purpose of this study is to identify an acquisition material duplication rate among three academic libraries for developing an academic library network. Three academic libraries located in Gyonggi-do, Korea were selected for data collection. The acquisition lists in both 2000 and 2001 were compared and analyzed between two libraries respectively. The results show that the duplication rate is 0.4% in 2000 and 2.8% in 2001 between medium in libraries, and 1.33%, 1.11% in 2000 and 3.63%, 3.88% in 2001 between a big size library and medium size libraries. These tell us that a big library can get benefit from a library network with medium size libraries.
