  • Various perceptual distortions in spatial vision occur during eye movements. Most of the studies on perceptual distortion have focused on the conjunctive eye movements. Recently, Li, Kham, Kim & Yoon (2002) reported that subjects experienced perceptual distortion of 3D slant of an object defined by the spatiotemproal pattern of occlusion. The present research examined whether the subjects experienced the same perceptual distortion in the target object whose luminance is different from that of background. It also examined the effect of the reference on the perceptual distortion of 3D slant of an object.

  • In this paper, satellite searching and tracking method for the satellite antenna in naval vessels system are proposed. For fast searching satellite, Wide Range Search(WRS) algorithm is proposed where the signal strength of side-lobe is utilized as well as that of main-lobe. Satellite tracking algorithm to stabilize satellite antenna is based on conical-scanning which is accomplished by the use of the sub-reflector located in front of the focus of the reflector. The sub-reflector rotates about a slightly tilted axis by means of a motor and shapes the antenna beam to utilize stabilization. To show the validity of the proposed method, an experimental example is represented.

Drift Handling in Object Tracking by Sparse Representations (희소성 표현 기반 객체 추적에서의 표류 처리)

  • In this paper, we proposed a new object tracking algorithm based on sparse representation to handle the drifting problem. In APG-L1(accelerated proximal gradient) tracking, the sparse representation is applied to model the appearance of object using linear combination of target templates and trivial templates with proper coefficients. Also, the particle filter based on affine transformation matrix is applied to find the location of object and APG method is used to minimize the l1-norm of sparse representation. In this paper, we make use of the trivial template coefficients actively to block the drifting problem. We experiment the various videos with diverse challenges and the result shows better performance than others.

  • A waypoint tracking algorithm(WTA) is designed for Unmanned Surface Vehicle(USV) in which water-jet system is installed for propulsion To control the heading of USV for waypoint tracking, the steering nozzle of water-jet need, to be controlled. Firstly, target heading is calculated by using the position information of waypoints input from the land control center. Secondly, the command for the steering nozzle of water-jet is calculated in real time by using the heading and the rate-of-turn( ROT) from magnetic compass, In this study, in order to consider the drift angle due to external disturbance such as wind and wave, the course of ground( COG) can be used instead of heading at higher speed than a certain value, To test the performance of newly-designed WTA, the tests were carried out in actual sea area near Gwang-an bridge of Busan. In this paper, the sea trial test results from WTA are analyzed and compared with those from manual control and those from commercial controller.

  • 산업화에 따른 화학물질 사용량의 증가는 담수로의 유해화학물질 유출사고의 위험을 증가시키며, 이러한 사고는 하천수 수질과 수환경 생태계에 심각한 위해와 손상을 야기한다. 이러한 수질사고 발생시 신속 대응을 위해, 하천에 유입된 물질의 거동을 신속하게 예측하는 것이 필요하며 이 경우 1차원 추적모형이 주로 사용된다. 1차원 물질혼합 모형은 하천을 하나의 유선으로 보며, 복잡한 하천흐름의 시스템을 현상학적으로 해석하고, 오염물질의 이송 및 혼합 메카니즘을 모델 매개변수에 반영하여 모형화한다. 이러한 매개변수들은 직접적으로 측정하기 어려우며, 이론에 기반한 매개변수 산정 기법이 구축되지 않은 실정이다. 따라서 대부분의 연구에서는 추적자 실험을 실시하여 유한한 하천구간에서 추적자의 시간-농도곡선(Breakthrough curve, BTC)을 취득하고, 이를 통하여 대상 구간의 매개변수를 역산하는 최적화 기법에 의존하고 있다. 하지만, 모든 하천구간에 대하여 추적자 실험을 수행하여 데이터를 확보하는 것이 어렵기 때문에 최적화 기법의 적용성에 한계가 있다. 본 연구는 흐름정보가 제공되지 않은 미계측 하천구간에서 BTC를 신속하게 예측할 수 있는 회귀모형을 구축하는 것을 목표로 한다. 국내 하천에서 수행한 4회의 추적자 실험으로부터 취득한 28개 구간 케이스의 데이터에 대하여 농도곡선 전처리를 수행하고 14개의 통계적 특징을 추출하였으며, 계측된 흐름특성과의 상관관계를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 대상 구간에서의 BTC의 변화가 추적자의 유하거리에 매우 높은 상관관계를 보였으며, 이를 이용하여 회귀모형을 제시하였다. 제안된 회귀모형을 적용하여 하류의 지점에서의 BTC를 예측하였으며, 1차원 이송-분산 방정식과 하천저장대모형을 활용한 예측결과와 비교하여 검증하였다. 그 결과, BTC의 변화특성을 활용한 회귀적 예측이 하천 지형 및 흐름의 변동성이 작은 구간에서 1차원 혼합모형들을 이용한 예측보다 더 높은 정확도를 보였으며, 이러한 장점은 장거리 예측에서 더 분명하게 나타났다.

  • As Single households increases for reason of communication development, extending human life, there are many problems occuring all over the world. In order to solve this problem with an invasion of privacy and manintain a healthy life, this paper suggest non-contact type bio-signal measurement system using IR-Radar, displacement sensor and Pan-Tilt system. The proposed system can increse the distance of measured respiration from 1m to over 8m, which is comprised of two IR-Radar for location tracking, one displacement sensor for non-contact type bio-signal measurement and one stepping motor drive system. The proposed system is verified through experiments and were confirmed the possibility.

  • The purpose of this study is to specify a probabilistic tracking mechanism for customer luxury purchase implemented by hidden Markov model, Bayesian inference, customer satisfaction and net promoter score. In this paper, we have designed a probabilistic model based on customer's actual data containing purchase or non-purchase states by tracking the SPC chain : customer satisfaction -> customer referral -> purchase/non-purchase. By applying hidden Markov model and Viterbi algorithm to marketing theory, we have developed the statistical model related to probability theories and have found the best purchase pattern scenario from customer's purchase records.

Evaluation of Real-time Target Positioning Accuracy in Spinal Radiosurgery (척추방사선수술시 실시간 추적검사에 의한 병소목표점 위치변이 평가)

  • Stereotactic Radiosurgery require high accuracy and precision of patient positioning and target localization. We evaluate the real time positioning accuracy of isocenter using optic guided patient positioning system, ExacTrac (BrainLab, Germany), during spinal radiosurgery procedure. The system is based on real time detect multiple body markers attached on the selected patient skin landmarks. And a custom designed patient positioning verification tool (PPVT) was used to check the patient alignment and correct the patient repositioning before radiosurgery. In this study, We investigate the selected 8 metastatic spinal tumor cases. All type of tumors commonly closed to thoracic spinal code. To evaluate the isocenter positioning, real time patient alignment and positioning monitoring was carried out for comparing the current 3-dimensional position of markers with those of an initial reference positions. For a selected patient case, we have check the isocenter positioning per every 20 millisecond for 45 seconds during spinal radiosurgery. In this study, real time average isocenter positioning translation were $0.07{\pm}0.17$ mm, $0.11{\pm}0.18$ mm, $0.13{\pm}0.26$ mm, and $0.20{\pm}0.37$ mm in the x (lateral), y (longitudinal), z (vertical) directions and mean spatial error, respectively. And body rotations were $0.14{\pm}0.07^{\circ}$, $0.11{\pm}0.07^{\circ}$, $0.03{\pm}0.04^{\circ}$ in longitudinal, lateral, table directions and mean body rotation $0.20{\pm}0.11^{\circ}$, respectively. In this study, the maximum mean deviation of real time isocenter positioning translation during spinal radiosurgery was acceptable accuracy clinically.

극소형 MEMS 우주망원경 탑재체 개발 및 탑재

  • 초소형전기기계시스템(MEMS: Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) 기술로 제작된 마이크로미러 어레이를 장착한 MEMS 우주망원경은 특유의 광시야각 감시, 목표 확인, 확대 및 고속 추적 기능을 가지며 고층대기에서의 초대형 방전현상과 같이 넓은 영역에서 드물게 임의로 일어나는 섬광현상을 관측하기에 최적이다. 러시아 과학위성 Tatiana-2의 주 탑재체로 선정된 극소형 MEMS 우주망원경 MTEL(MEMS Telescope for Extreme Lightning)은 광시야각 감시와 목표 확인을 위한 트리거망원경, 목표 확대와 고속추적을 위한 확대망원경 및 섬광현상의 분광측정을 위한 분광계로 구성되어 있다. 1년간의 개발 및 성능 검증 후 MTEL은 위성탑재를 위한 모든 우주인증 시험을 성공적으로 마쳤다. 현재 MTEL은 Tatiana-2 위성에 탑재되어 있으며, 9월 18일에 우주로 발사되어 1-3년간 800km 궤도를 비행하며 지구 대기에서 발생하는 섬광현상을 관측할 예정이다. 이 발표에서는 MTEL 탑재체의 설계, 제작, 성능 측정 및 calibration 결과를 보고하고, 위성탑재를 위한 진동 및 충격, 열, 진공 및 전자기파 적합성 등의 우주인증 시험 결과 또한 보고한다. 또한 발사 후 과학위성 및 MTEL의 이 발표 때까지의 우주에서의 상황을 보고한다.

PID-controlled Moving Objects Spatio-Temporal Model Algorithm for Identifying the Location of a Mobile Object in Real-time (이동체의 실시간 위치추적을 위한 PID제어 이동체 Spatio-Temporal 모델 알고리즘)

  • Triangulation is a typical method to locate or identify the location, which requires inherently at least three pre-recognized reference points. In some cases, owing to out of reachability to communication facility the target node can not reachable always to three base stations. This paper presents a predictive method, which can estimate the location of the moving target node in real time even though the target could not get in touch with all three base stations. The method is based on the PID-controlled Moving Objects Spatio-Temporal Model Algorithm. This can predict the moving direction of the moving target, and then combine with the past target position information to judge accurately the location.
