A study for the choice of destination in Agricultural tourism (농촌관광 목적지선택 요인에 관한 연구)

  • The objective of this research is to define and explain the factors of destination chosen by travel consumers in Agricultural tourism. Their party size we, in general, smaller, and they tend to spend more time planning their trips and to book them further in advance. They also use different information sources when making travel decision. There is also a need to examine in greater depth the proposition that Agricutural Tourism are more compatiable with the principles of ecollogically sustainable tourism than Non Agricultural tourism formats.

A Study on Travel Satisfaction for Segmented Groups of Cultural Destination Attributes (문화관광지 선택속성에 대한 세분시장별 여행만족도에 관한 연구: Fisher's Z값을 활용한 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • This study was to investigate if there were any significant relationships between cultural destination selection attributes and travel satisfaction according to segmented groups of cultural destination attributes. Survey questionnaire was developed based on the previous study and data were collected from on site survey, which was one of the famous cultural tourism destination in Korea such as Booyoe and Kongjoo. Six dimensions of cultural destination attributes were identified from factor analysis and three different segmented groups were determined from cluster analysis. Then, Multiple regression analysis conducted with six destination attributes as independent variables and one travel satisfaction as dependent variable, while Fisher's Z score for three segmented groups were considered as moderator's variable. The results showed that cultural destination attribute affected respondents' level of travel satisfaction and there was differences among segmented groups in terms of their affecting factors to the travel satisfaction. These findings suggested that there were different segmented groups of cultural destination selection attributes and each group pursued different cultural travel products and services.

  • Destination choice analysis is an important issue of transportation demand research. The current study analyses the influential factors for university students' trip destination choice. The university students differ from other population groups in many aspects. The study is concerned with shopping, leisure and amusement purposes of trips, other than obligatory trips such as going to school. University students' daily life differs from those of employees and middle and high school students in the sense that a lot of flexible activities are mixed with fixed activities such as work and school attending. A multinomial logit analysis investigates the significance of the impact of a set of variables including residential location, gender and income of the university student. The results show that these variables affect the destination choice of shopping, leisure and amusement. The analysis also provides interesting interpretation of the relationships of the variables with the location choices, which are particularly relevant to the university students.

Travel Disparity among the Elderly in Seoul during the COVID -19 Pandemic Period: Differences in Destination Diversification according to Socioeconomic and Spatial Factors - (COVID-19 대유행기에 나타난 서울시 고령층의 통행격차 - 사회경제적 요인과 공간적 요인에 따른 목적지 다변화의 차이를 중심으로-)

  • By defining a travel disparity based on the degree to which travelers diversify their destinations, this paper examines how socioeconomic and spatial factors affect the travel disparity among the elderly in Seoul. This paper uses the COVID-19 pandemic as a natural experiment which can bring about different behavioral responses among the older travelers. Using the smart card data, we compare the destination diversification patterns before and after the pandemic. In the early morning(4:30-9:00), the degree of destination diversification varies between the core and the periphery and this trend persists through the pandemic. In the late morning(9:00-12:00), a new trend of disparity appeared after the pandemic. Although those who hold higher socioeconomic status and live closer to the core have a larger range of choices for destinations, the difference of range did not lead to differences in diversification before the pandemic, due to the discretionary nature of the elderly's trip. In contrast, as the elderly were forced to search alternative destinations right after the outbreak of the pandemic, the range of choices became an important factor causing observable differences in destination diversification. The findings suggest that the travel disparity observed during the pandemic is due to the difference in the range of choices by socioeconomic and spatial factors.

  • A tourist destination where nature and people coexist is needed for today's tourists who crave for various new experiences and attractions. In this respect, Slow city has its attractiveness as a good tourist destination and its potentials are being verified. The purpose of this study is to identify selection attributes of slow city which influence the perception of tourism professionals and finally to figure out its growth potential as a tourism destination. This study approaches and considers tourism industry worker's perception about slow city which previous studies have not been discussed. We examined that travel and tourism employees working on the tourism industry frontline, planning travel goods, providing information on tourist destinations, are less aware than the general public about slow city as a tourism destination.

  • Brand equity of a tourist destination play a significant role in selecting a tourist destination because it is highly associated with its competitiveness. Nevertheless, a few research related to brand equity of a tourist destination has been conducted. Therefore, this study particularly focuses on the conceptualization work and deriving elements of brand equity of a tourist destination. One of the major research findings is that brand equity of a tourist destination comprises four elements including brand name awareness, perceived quality, brand associations and brand loyalty. In particular, brand loyalty turns out to be affected by other elements of brand equity, which verifies the hierarchy of effect among the elements of brand equity.

BER Performance Analysis for Adaptive Cooperation Scheme with Decode-and-Forward Relay-Selection (복호 후 전달 릴레이 선택을 이용한 적응형 협력 기법의 BER 성능분석)

  • In this paper, we propose a new adaptive cooperation scheme with multi-relay nodes which achieves higher performance and spectral efficiency than that of some conventional cooperative schemes. The relay-selection is applied to choose the most potential relay among K ones. Afterward, the instantaneous signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) differences between S-D, S-R and R-D channels are considered for adaptive selection between the direct and the cooperation transmission strategy. In the proposed adaptive protocol, if the direct link is of high quality, the source will transmit to destination directly with all power consumption. Otherwise, the source broadcasts the signal with a lower power and requires the help of the chosen relay if it decodes correctly, else the source will transmit again with remaining power. Firstly, the spectral efficiency is derived by calculating the probability of each mode. Subsequently, the BER performance for the adaptive cooperation scheme is analyzed by considering each event that one of K relays is selected and then making the summation of all. Finally, the numerical results are presented to confirm the performance enhancement offered by the proposed schemes.

  • The trend is growing domestic and international travelers. Research before making plans to travel people, Leave the tour you do not know the way, there are people who can not find a better destination. In this paper, to solve this problem and provide a mobile-to efficiency in traveling through a smart-phone application. At the same time to improve the convenience and satisfaction, etc. Select the destination country and traveling through the guidance system and the destination in the shortest path from the current location of the user to select multiple destinations shorten the travel route and save time. Also implemented to provide a convenience to guide the position of the additional facilities.

  • 본 논문에서는 시작 노드와 목적지 노드 까지의 최단경로를 중점으로 가장 인접한 경유지를 선택하고 경유지가 다수일 경우 하모니서치 알고리즘을 통해 최적의 경로를 탐색하는 기법을 제안한다. 본 논문의 기법은 기존의 사용자의 현 위치에서 인접한 경유지를 추천해주는 시스템과 달리 목적지까지의 경로 전체에서 가장 인접한경유지를 선택해준다는 차별점이 있다. 그렇게 선택된 경유지들은 하모니서치 알고리즘을 사용하여 최적의 경로를 제안한다. 본 논문의 기법은 최단경로의 이탈을 최소화한 경유지 선택으로 거리, 시간, 비용적 측면에서 효율적이며 길을 헤매서 생기는 불필요한 지연을 최소화할 수 있다. 자율주행, 비행기, 선박, 드론 등 최적 경로 이탈시 큰 손실을 안기거나 위험한 시스템에 적용시 큰 효과를 거둘 수 있다.

Developing a Latent Class Model Considering Heterogeneity in Mode Choice Behavior : A Case of Commuters in Seoul (수단선택의 이질성을 고려한 잠재계층모형(Latent Class Model) 구축: 서울시 통근자를 사례로)

  • It is crucial to understand how people make decisions on mode choice and to accurately predict their behaviors in transportation planning. One of avenues for advancing modeling is, in particular, taking into account for taste heterogeneity in modeling that can incorporate different decision-making processes across group. In this study, we hypothesize that how people make decisions on mode choice would differ by destination in that land use characteristics are heterogeneous by zone even if zones are all in the same area. To this end, we apply Latent Class Modeling (LCM) to commute trips in Seoul by using 2010 household travel diary survey, investigate types of latent classes with the aid of characteristics of destination, and analyze how those classes differently response to factors. The LCM identifies two classes: in the first one, modal split of auto and public transit (bus and metro) is almost half-and-half and the trip destinations are characterized by relatively more residence facilities and less business/commercial facilities; in the second one, public transit has a notably high share and trip destinations are characterized by relatively more business/commercial facilities. In addition, it turns out that demographic and socio-economic variables affect mode choice differently by class.
