An Intelligent Moving Wireless Camera Surveillance System with Motion sensor and Remote Control (무선조종과 모션 센서를 이용한 지능형 이동 무선감시카메라 구현)

  • Recently, intelligent surveillance camera systems are needed popularly. However, current researches are focussed on improvement of a single module rather than implementation of an integrated system. In this paper, we implemented a moving wireless surveillance camera system which is composed of face detection, and using motion sensor. In our implementation, we used a camera module from SHARP, a pair of wireless video transmission module from ECOM, body of moving robot used for A4WD1 Combo kit for RC, a pair of ZigBee RF wireless transmission module from ROBOBLOCK, and a motion sensor module (AMN14111) from PANASONIC. We used OpenCV library for face dection and MFC for implement software. We identified real-time operations of face detection, PTT control, and motion sensor detecton. Thus, the implemented system will be useful for the applications of remote control, human detection, and using motion sensor.

Semantic Scenes Classification of Sports News Video for Sports Genre Analysis (스포츠 장르 분석을 위한 스포츠 뉴스 비디오의 의미적 장면 분류)

  • Anchor-person scene detection is of significance for video shot semantic parsing and indexing clues extraction in content-based news video indexing and retrieval system. This paper proposes an efficient algorithm extracting anchor ranges that exist in sports news video for unit structuring of sports news. To detect anchor person scenes, first, anchor person candidate scene is decided by DCT coefficients and motion vector information in the MPEG4 compressed video. Then, from the candidate anchor scenes, image processing method is utilized to classify the news video into anchor-person scenes and non-anchor(sports) scenes. The proposed scheme achieves a mean precision and recall of 98% in the anchor-person scenes detection experiment.

  • 사람 검출은 다양한 분야에서 활용이 많은 기술이다. 검출은 노이즈, 그림자, 조명 변화, 사람형태 등을 고려해야 우수한 성능을 얻을 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 블록기반으로 복잡한 실내환경에서 상기 문제를 극복할 수 있는 사람 검출 방법을 제안한다. 제안방법은 모션 추출, 배경차분화, 전경객체 추출, 사람의 고유색 검출로 구성된다. 다양한 실내환경에서 제안방법을 적용하여 우수성을 증명하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 최근 관심이 증가하고 있는 축구 경기 MPEG 비디오에서 정면이 변하는 부분을 검출하고 동일한 의미의 장면들을 분류하는 기술을 제안한다. MPEG 비디오에서 디코딩 과정을 거치지 않고 직접 에지(edge) 정보와 색상 분포 정보를 추출하여 적은 연산량으로 장면 전환 검출의 정확성을 높이고, 검출된 결과를 기반으로 샷(shot)을 특징 지울 수 있는 특정 색상들과 에지 정보를 이용해서 축구 MPEG 비디오내의 장면들을 내용적으로 분류한다. 제안한 방법은 카메라 움직임으로 발생하는 글러벌 모션의 변화에 대해서도 효과적으로 장면 전환을 검출하고 의미적으로 유사한 샷들에 대하여 장면 분류를 수행하는 결과를 확인하였다.

  • Previoisly presented "Implementation to pupil motion recognition system using convolution neural network".is improved. Using OpenCV, face and eye areas are detected, and then configure the neural network using Numpy. This pupil motion recognition system is based on the Numpy for configuring and calculating the neural network. This system is implemented on DE1-SOC.

  • This paper presents vision-based 3D facial expression animation technique and system which provide the robust 3D head pose estimation and real-time facial expression control. Many researches of 3D face animation have been done for the facial expression control itself rather than focusing on 3D head motion tracking. However, the head motion tracking is one of critical issues to be solved for developing realistic facial animation. In this research, we developed an integrated animation system that includes 3D head motion tracking and facial expression control at the same time. The proposed system consists of three major phases: face detection, 3D head motion tracking, and facial expression control. For face detection, with the non-parametric HT skin color model and template matching, we can detect the facial region efficiently from video frame. For 3D head motion tracking, we exploit the cylindrical head model that is projected to the initial head motion template. Given an initial reference template of the face image and the corresponding head motion, the cylindrical head model is created and the foil head motion is traced based on the optical flow method. For the facial expression cloning we utilize the feature-based method, The major facial feature points are detected by the geometry of information of the face with template matching and traced by optical flow. Since the locations of varying feature points are composed of head motion and facial expression information, the animation parameters which describe the variation of the facial features are acquired from geometrically transformed frontal head pose image. Finally, the facial expression cloning is done by two fitting process. The control points of the 3D model are varied applying the animation parameters to the face model, and the non-feature points around the control points are changed by use of Radial Basis Function(RBF). From the experiment, we can prove that the developed vision-based animation system can create realistic facial animation with robust head pose estimation and facial variation from input video image.

  • 본 논문은 카메라의 움직임이 있는 영상에서 움직이는 사람의 얼굴을 검출하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법에서, 얼굴 영역을 찾기 위해 피부 색깔 정보와 움직임 정보를 이용한다. 카메라의 움직임을 어파인 모션 모델(Affine Motion Model)을 이용해 제거한 후, 적응적 임계치(adaptive thresholding)를 통해 얻어진 움직임 영역 내에서만 피부 색깔 모델(skin color model)을 이용해 얼굴 영역을 검출한다. 제안된 방법은 시간에 따라 조명이 변하거나 잡음이 포함된 영상에서도 좋은 결과를 얻을 수 있다.

  • In this paper, we propose design of a high-performance vehicle imaging information system for an efficient vehicle imaging stabilization. The proposed system was designed the algorithm by divided as motion estimation and motion compensation. The motion estimation were configured as local motion vector estimation and irregular local motion vector detection, global motion vector estimation. The motion compensation was corrected for the four directions for compensate to the shake of vehicle video image using estimate GMV. The designed algorithm were designed the motion compensation technology chip by applied to IP for vehicle imaging stabilization. In this paper, the experimental results of the proposed vehicle imaging information system were proved to the effectiveness by compared with other methods, because imaging stabilization of moving vehicle was not used of memory by processing real-time. Also, it could be obtained to reduction effect of calculation time by arithmetic operation through to block matching.

Dragging Body Parts in 3D Space to Direct Animated Characters (3차원 공간 상의 신체 부위 드래깅을 통한 캐릭터 애니메이션 제어)

  • We present a new interactive technique for directing the motion sequences of an animated character by dragging its specific body part to a desired location in the three-dimensional virtual environment via a hand motion tracking device. The motion sequences of our character is synthesized by reordering subsequences of captured motion data based on a well-known graph representation. For each new input location, our system samples the space of possible future states by unrolling the graph into a spatial search tree, and retrieves one of the states at which the dragged body part of the character gets closer to the input location. We minimize the difference between each pair of successively retrieved states, so that the user is able to anticipate which states will be found by varying the input location, and resultantly, to quickly reach the desired states. The usefulness of our method is demonstrated through experiments with breakdance, boxing, and basketball motion data.

  • 본 연구에서는 효과적인 손 제스처 인식을 위하여 다중 특징을 이용한 견고한 손 추적 방법을 제시한다. 기존의 많은 손추적 장치들이 칼라 정보나 모션 정보와 같은 단일한 정보를 바탕으로 손을 검출하고, 이를 바탕으로 손의 추적하는 방법들을 제시하고 있다. 이러한 방법들의 경우에는 손 추적 중에 환경이나 상황이 변하게 되면, 손추적의 정확도가 현저하게 떨어지게 된다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점들을 보완하기 위하여, Adaboost를 이용한 손 검출, 역투영을 기반으로 손 색상을 이용한 추적, KLT를 바탕으로 한 모션 추적을 이용한 검출을 동시에 수행하며, 각 센서의 추적 결과에 대한 칼만 필터 적용뿐 아니라, 각 센서 정보를 통합하여 견고한 결과를 얻기 위한 방법을 제시한다. 이를 바탕으로 손제스처 인식 시스템을 개발하였으며, 개발된 제스처 인식을 바탕으로 비디오 플레이를 제어하는 시스템을 구현하였다.
