A Case Study of Manufacturing Company's Servitization Process : Hansam's Transition from Furniture Manufacturing to Interior Service (사례 분석을 통한 제조업의 서비스화 : 한샘 가구제조기업에서 인테리어 서비스 회사로의 변환)

  • Currently many companies have realized that producing efficient product does not guarantee the market differentiation. Realizing the problem, those companies are actively pursuing the servitization strategy. However complexities in selecting the right service areas among many choices along with in developing service strategies and organizational structures remain unsolved to many manufacturing companies. This paper is about an exploratory study in which, through in-depth case analysis, we observed how a manufacturing company successfully managed to transform to the service company. Through this study, we have found that successful transformation needs to resolve many conflicting issues such as channels among existing and new sales front, organizational restructuring due to conflicting in evaluation and human resource requirements required for responding to customers in the field. This 'Hansam' case study provides managers with some guidelines as to how to transform to the service company.

A Study on Prediction the Movement Pattern of Time Series Data using Information Criterion and Effective Data Length (정보기준과 효율적 자료길이를 활용한 시계열자료 운동패턴 예측 연구)

  • Is generated in real time in the real world, a large amount of time series data from a wide range of business areas. But it is not easy to determine the optimal model for the description and understanding of the time series data is represented as a dynamic feature. In this study, through the HMM suitable for estimating the short and long-term forecasting model of time-series data to estimate a model that can explain the characteristics of these time series data, it was estimated to predict future patterns of movement. The actual stock market through various materials, information criterion and optimal model estimation for the length of the most efficient data was found to accurately estimate the state of the model. Similar movement patterns predictive than the long-term prediction is more similar to the short-term prediction of the experimental result were found to be.

  • In order to The certification of CMMI level is positioned as the most important part of software development company competitiveness. From that point, you will be able to find the various CMMI based process improvement activities of the companies in the above. This paper presents the activity method, such as organization, process application method for the CMMI based process improvement, through the field application. Based on that, this paper enables you to understand the model application method. And we also carry out the application case analysis of defect management with the schedule/effort analysis and colleague's check activity to show the improvement effectiveness, based on the quantitative analysis. And we present the problem and improvement part of real application. The result of this paper will be used to understand the effectiveness of quantitative process management, mentioned in the CMM. And furthermore, we also expect this paper to be useful for the organization to improve the process based on CMM in the future.

  • Security services that support electric energy service gateway require relatively high reliability. In particular, the application services that accompany communications and data are run organically. Each of the security services should support a secure service platform that supports a secure, scalable life cycle for existing services which should be extends security layer of Universal Middleware. In this convergence platform, it is the study of security transfer modular services that allow independent life cycle management of systems through Universal middleware. First, It is modular in terms of energy consumption service and data, enabling real-time operation, communications, remote management and applications. Second, the life cycle of the secure module to support start, stop and updating of the security module by applying the security policy module layer concept. It is modular system enabling to design of dyanmic models in the smart grid, the service was intended to be standardized and applied to the security service platform.

  • This paper evaluates the appropriateness of the proposed robot education curriculum to consider conceptual understanding and learning activities model considering the curriculum and achievement criteria in order to make it easier to apply for a course in robot area. The professors of dept. of computer education at national universities of education reviewed the importance of education contents system and appropriateness of education period. Based on the results of the review, the conceptual elements and achievement standards of each sub-area were revised and supplemented, and then evaluated in three stages. Finally, the educational elements of the concept factors and achievement criteria were agreed upon. The proposed robotic computing education information systems and the achievement standards for schools in the area, as well as to match the grade level of the students without distinction variety of robots will be able to take advantage of computing education activities to reorganize the robot computing courses.

  • With the development of information technology, users can freely search records and archives without the involvement of archivists. However, existing records retrieval systems show only partial search results, which do not consider the users' intention. To overcome this problem, semantic web technology is being developed, and the International Council on Archives (ICA) is working to develop RIC (Records In Context), a new archival description standard, which reflects the trend. The conceptual model for archival description and its ontology of RIC are the basis for implementing semantic-based retrieval. In other words, it is necessary to consider the viewpoint of the users on how the records retrieval based on meaning should be designed and provided. Therefore, this study selected three cases of systems, which are built as semantic web technology, and conducted interviews of the users for the evaluation of the systems based on user experience. This study proposes the kind of interface that can be implemented for the ontology-based record retrieval system.

  • Artists use artistic features of paintings to provide various emotions in paintings. These features may be simply color and texture, but they can move on to form a composition or a symmetry. Through these features, people can feel various emotions when enjoying paintings. Even though they are using these features, there are paintings that are not readily accessible to non-extractable experts. This is because the analysis of features is not intuitive. In this paper, we want to produce content that matches paintings and music. This helps user to understand painting easily with paintings and matched music.

  • Meta-evaluation for national R&D programs should be established within the framework of whole R&D system linked with science and technology needs and objectives. The R&D program evaluation system can be understood as a circulation of input, implementation, output, and utilization. In the result of the Delphi survey, which consisted of twenty-four experts (performed in three rounds), twenty-four indices were developed. The meta-evaluation model included sub-items which were important points of view of it as follow (eight items): propriety of planning, sufficiency of information, and propriety of evaluators in evaluation input; appropriateness of method and appropriateness of procedure in evaluation implementation; credibility of output in evaluation output; and usefulness of report and application of evaluation utilization. As the application of the meta-evaluation model, the total mean was lower than 3.0 of the median value of 2.73 (5 point Likert scale). Finally, it was suggested that the feedback of evaluation results should be more enforced to R&D program improvement particularly (evaluation utilization 2.50).

  • Resource development is needed in order to develop the industry. However, because resources are running out, there is a growing interest in the arctic regions. If you want to develop resources in cold regions, it is necessary to understand the environment there and it should be a priority to secure proper technology for construction. In particular, thaw settlement, which frequently occur in Arctic regions, have a fatal effect on essential pipeline needed to transport resources. Therefore, it is important to analyze how piping will be impacted by thaw settlement. In this study, we developed 3-D FEM model in order to analyze the influence of the buried depth of the pipe at the time of thaw settlement. We analyzed a displaced pipe which is subjected to stress and considered Elasto-plastic, using the finite element analysis according to these Arctic environments.

Factors on the Satisfaction of Korean Medical Tour Convergence Services of Chinese College Students (중국 대학생의 한국 의료관광 융합서비스에 대한 만족 요인)

  • This study was to find the factors influencing satisfaction of Korean medical tour services of Chinese college students. Structured questionnaire was developed to collect data. The data were collected from the 175 students between May 1 and May 15 in 2015 in an international college in China. The expectations and the evaluations on the Korean medical tour services were compare by t-test. To find the factors influencing satisfaction on Korean medical tour services, diverse linear regression models were estimated. According to the best fit regression model, technologies, quality of medical tour services, and health care cost significantly and positively influenced satisfaction on the Korean medical tour services. The results of the study suggested that we need to prepare marketing strategies to improve understandings on Korean medical tour services for the Chinese college students. Improvement of technology, improvement of quality of health service, and setting of reasonable price are important to attract more Chinese patients to Korea.
