A Study on Low-Overhead Collision Warning Scheme using Vehicle-to-Vehicle Communications (차량 간 통신을 이용한 저비용 사고 위험 방지 기술에 관한 연구)

  • It is expected that the vehicle safety systems using vehicle-to-vehicle communication can reduce the possibility of vehicle collision and prevent the chain crash by promptly delivering the status of neighboring vehicles. Many IEEE 802.11 DCF based Flooding schemes have been proposed, but they may generally expose the problems that the transmission efficiency is sharply declined as the vehicle density has increased and then is related to the low possibility of the channel access. Therefore, this paper proposes a collision prevention scheme using adaptively controlling the frequency of the message exchanges based on the current status of neighboring vehicles. Moreover, it is shown from simulation that the proposed scheme provides the performance gains over the existing Flooding based scheme.

  • 위치 기반 광고란 휴대폰, PDA(Personal Digital Assistant), 노트북 PC 등 위치 획득이 가능한 단말의 위치 정보를 이용하여 광고를 하는 것으로 위치 추적이 가능한 단말의 위치 정보를 활용하여 부가정보를 서비스하는 위치 기반 서비스 (LBS, Location Based Services)의 한 종류이다. 최근의 이동 통신 기술의 발달과 휴대폰, PDA 등 모바일 단말의 급속한 확산으로 인하여 LBS 는 유무선 인터넷의 응용 및 그를 이용한 부가 가치 창출에 있어 핵심적인 역할을 할 것이며, 특히 위치 기반 광고는 LBS 시장의 상당 부분을 차지할 것으로 예상되고 있다. 이러한 위치 기반 광고는 광고를 저장하고 관리하는 광고 ASP (Application Service Provider) 플랫폼에서 단말의 위치 정보를 저장 및 관리하는 LBS 플랫폼을 참조하여 위치 및 시간에 따라 광고의 대상이 되는 사용자 목록을 얻고, 해당 사용자에 대하여 단문 메시지 또는 멀티미디어 광고를 제공함으로써 이루어질 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 현재 많이 사용되고 있는 단문 메시지 서비스 (SMS, Short Message Services)를 사용하여 위치 기반 광고를 제공할 수 있는 광고 ASP 플랫폼을 설계한다. 이를 위해 광고 ASP 플랫폼이 제공하여야 하는 기능과 위치 기반 광고의 처리 흐름을 분석한다.

  • With the rapid spread of mobile phones, users are continuously interested in using the mobile phone in connection with personal activities. Also, increasingly users want to share (transmit and receive) and save data more easily and simply in the mobile environment. This paper suggests motion recognition of mobile phone to share personal information with any people located within a certain distance using location-based service with GCM service. The suggested application is based on Google Cloud Messaging which enables asynchronous communication with the mobile applications executed in Android operating system. The requirements of light-weight mechanism can be satisfied as it is possible to access sharing of personal information easily, simply and in real time through all mobile devices anywhere.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide practical implications on government crisis management strategies and on the use of SNS in crisis management. Specifically, this study analyzed Ministry of Drug and Food Safety's responses to paraben toothpaste issue, media coverage of paraben toothpaste issue, and public responses to paraben toothpaste issue. Through textual analysis and the network analysis of 45 news articles and 645 tweets, this study found that Ministry used one-way communication strategy and mostly negative issues regarding Ministry's crisis response strategies were diffused via the media and Twitter. This study was meaningful in that it highlighted the importance of media relations and use of SNS in crisis management. The findings of this study provide useful implications for government officials and PR practitioners in their crisis management and communication strategy.

  • Human beings have been leading their life and desirable social life through communication. Human communication has been changed and expanded through language, letters, printing media, broadcasting media, and more recently network communication media. Since the invention of characters, books have been the human beings' communication medium that have the longest history, and they have preserved and succeeded human spiritual world. Children's picture books are also a communication medium composed of the transmitter of the information, message, medium, and the receiver, and makes the process of communication. The sender: writer, illustrator, and editor, analyzes children, special receiver, symbolizes messages, make up contents and make communication come true by selecting media and effectively delivering them to children. Considering the developmental characteristics of the receiver, children and their desires, visual media such as the writings and illustrations. The writings and illustrations are the most appropriate for communication with children. The first, picture books are for the communication between grown-ups and children, and also that with society for helping children find their identity and perform their roles. The second, through the message of writings and illustrations young children acquire human communication ability of this age. That is, they experience and learn visual communication and letter communication

  • Machine to Machine (M2M) technology has gained attention due to the fast diffusion of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and smart devices. Most wireless network experts believe that Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Communications technology in an iBeacon network has amazing advantages in terms of providing communication services at a low cost in smartphone applications. Specifically, BLE does not require any pairing process during its communication phases, so it is possible to send a message to any node without incurring additional transmissions costs if they are within the BLE communication range. However, BLE does not require any security verification during communication, so it has weak security. Therefore, a security authorization process would be necessary to obtain customer confidence. To provide security functions for iBeacon, we think that the iBeacon Message Encryption process and a Decryption (Authorization) process should be designed and implemented. We therefore propose the BLE message Authorization Mechanism based on a One Time Password Algorithm (BLE-OTP). The effectiveness of our mechanism is evaluated by conducting a performance test on an attendance system based on BLE-OTP.

Node ID-based Service Discovery for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (모바일 애드-혹 네트워크를 위한 노드 ID 기반 서비스 디스커버리 기법)

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient service discovery scheme that combines peer-to-peer caching advertisement and node ID-based selective forwarding service requests. P2P caching advertisement quickly spreads available service information and reduces average response hop count since service information store in neighbor node cache. In addition, node ID-based service requests can minimize network transmission delay and can reduce network load since do not broadcast to all neighbor node. Proposed scheme does not require a central lookup server or registry and not rely on flooding that create a number of transmission messages. Simulation results show that proposed scheme improved network loads and response times since reduce a lot of messages and reduce average response hop counts using adaptive selective nodes among neighbor nodes compared to traditional flooding-based protocol.

  • In this paper, it proposes a protocol of resource adaptive data dissemination for sensor nodes in a wireless sensor network. In general, each sensor node used in a wireless sensor network delivers the required information to the final destination by conducting cooperative works such as sensing, processing, and communicating each other using the battery power of a independent sensor node. So, a protocol used for transferring the acquired information to users through the wireless sensor network can minimize the power consumption of energy resource given to a sensor node. Especially, it is very important to minimize the total amount of power consumption with a method for handling the problems on implosion. data delivery overlapping, and excessive message transfer caused by message broadcasting. In this paper, for the maintaining of the shortest path between sensor nodes, maximizing of the life time of a sensor node and minimizing of communication cost, it presents a method for selecting the representative transfer node for an event arising area based on the negotiation scheme and maintaining optimal transfer path using hop and energy information. Finally, for the performance evaluation, we compare the proposed protocol to existing directed diffusion and SPIN protocol. And, with the simulation results, we show that the proposed protocol enhances the performance on the power consumption rate when the number of overall sensor nodes in a sensor network or neighbor sensor nodes in an event area are increased and on the number of messages disseminated from a sensor node.

An Error Control Algorithm for Wireless Video Transmission based on Feedback Channel (무선 비디오 통신을 위한 피드백 채널 기반의 에러복구 알고리즘의 개발)

  • By feedback channel, the decoder reports the addresses of corrupted macroblocks induced by transmission errors back to the encoder With these negative acknowledgements, the encoder can make the next frame having propagated errors by using forward dependency based on GOBs and MBs of the frame happening transmission errors. The encoder can precisely calculate and track the propagated errors by examining the backward motion dependency for each of four comer pixels in the current encoding frame until before-mentioned the next frame. The error-propagation effects can be terminated completely by INTRA refreshing the affected macroblocks. Such a fast algorithm further reduce the computation and memory requirements. The advantages of the low computation complexity and the low memory requirement are Particularly suitable for real-time implementation.

  • 미래의 컴퓨팅 환경인 Ubiquitous 컴퓨팅에서는 USN을 이용하여 사용자의 위치, 환경, 서비스의 요구사항 등을 인지하고 서로 전달한다. USN에서는 XML 기반의 메시지 포맷을 사용한다. 그에 따라 대량의 XML(extensible Markup Language) 데이터를 고속처리 해야 하는 요구사항이 발생된다. USN과 같은 Ubiquitous 기술은 앞으로 계속 확산될 전망이며, 실시간으로 XML 데이터를 저장/처리해야 할 경우가 증가할 것이다. 이와 같은 추세에 따라 XML을 처리하기위한 데이터베이스의 요구가 점점 증가하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 그에 적합한 데이터베이스의 저장구조를 Main-Memory 데이터베이스와 XML 문서 처리 방법인 DOM을 바탕으로 하여 XML을 효과적으로 저장/처리하는 저장 구조를 설계하였다.
