Design and Fabrication of the Digital Iron Using the Micro-processor (마이크로프로세서를 이용한 디지털 전기인두기의 설계 및 제작)

  • The digital iron using ${\mu}$ processor is designed and compared experimentally with the conventional analog Iron. Designed digital iron shows two improved temperature control characteristics. First, the reduction of the difference error between the user setting temperature and the real temperature of the iron tip is examined. When the iron temperature is set to $200[^{\circ}C]$, $300[^{\circ}C]$, $400[^{\circ}C]$, $480[^{\circ}C]$ at the environmental temperatures of $-5[^{\circ}C]$ and $25[^{\circ}C]$, it is examined that the tip temperature is very stable and its error is within ${\pm}1.8[^{\circ}C]$. Second, it is conformed that the temperature fluctuation of the iron due to the soldering is reduced manifestly. When the temperature of iron tip is varied from $200[^{\circ}C]$ to $480[^{\circ}C]$ with 1[g] solder, the temperature errors of the analog iron are measured to be from $6[^{\circ}C]$ to $10[^{\circ}C]$. In case of designed digital iron, however, these errors are much smaller and they are from $2[^{\circ}C]$ to $5[^{\circ}C]$.

  • This paper represents the design of the ground resistance measuring system insensitive to the noise in the earth. Generally, conventional ground resistance measuring instruments may fail to give a precise values for ground resistance under the situations where there is a high ground potential produced by unbalanced power system currents, haromonic currents and noise etc. To make up the defect of conventional ground resistance measuring instruments, in this paper the ground resistance measuring system using high-performance L-C resonant filter and digital signal processor is designed and the insentivity of the designed ground resistance measuring system for noise in the earth is verified by field test on power service and off power service.

  • We design and implement the DSP module for automotive radar using FMCW. The designed parameters are based on 77GHz FMCW radar, and show the resolution of 0.4m and 0.67km/h in distance and velocity, respectively. For detecting multiple targets, we discuss the relationship between fb's and targets. In addition, we show that the detection of multiple targets is very simple when the range of $f_r$ is sufficiently larger than that of $f_b$. In the front of ADC, the 2nd order differentiator is applied for reducing the effects of path-loss so that the ADC bits are reduced to 8 bits. The designed block is simulated in Matlab and implemented with DSP and micro-processor.

  • The existing approaches for the music application have not considered a real-time multi-tasking model. So, it suffers from a high complexity and a low flexibility in design as well as lack of predictability for the timely execution of critical tasks. In this paper, we design a new concurrent tasking architecture for a real-time embedded music system and examine if all real-time tasks can finish execution within their respective time constraints. The design is implemented on the Linux based Xhyper272 Board that uses the Intel Bulverde microprocessor.

  • We present the development of the digital fuzzy controller for maximum power regulation. A hybrid system that comprises wind and photovoltaic generation subsystems, and battery bank is developed in this paper. We use Takaki-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model to deal with the power regulation problem, since each power generator has complex nonlinear terms. The problem for regulation control can be simplified into a stabilization one. Also, in order to utilize the advanced digital device, we perform the intelligent digital redesign method. Finally, the performance of the proposed controller is extensively assessed through computer simulation.

  • This paper describes development of a microprocessor-based optoelectronic guard system established a higher level of control reliability in machine guard design. The system uses the design concept of diverse redundancy and a fast software algorithm. We have accomplished an safety light curtain system that allows to be intentionally disabled moving machine by the interrupt of dangerous situations. As a result, it is showed that the proposed system is effective enough to practical applications.

고속전철의 통신 및 신호시스템

  • 고속전철 시스템을 완성하는데 있어 일반적인 경우 전원공급 시스템(power supply system), ROollingstock 및 토목공사분야등이 중요시 되고 있다. 그러나 고속으로 운행되는 전철시스템이 정상적으로 운행되고 특히 인원의 안전을 보장하기 위해서는 통신 및 신호시스템의 중요함이 간과되어서는 안된다. 내부통신네트워크는 Trainset 자체가 정상적인 운행이 되도록 만들어 주는 신경역할을 하는 것으로 주로 컴퓨터 네트워크의 개념으로 접근하여야 하며 확장성, 가용성, 견고성 등이 고려요소가 된다. 특히, 확장성과 가용성의 측면에서 Token-ring아키텍쳐가 우선적으로 고려될 수 있음을 보았다. 네트워크에 접속되는 프로세서 및 터미날은 전체 시스템중 뇌(Brain)의 역할을 수행하는 것으로 마이크로 프로세서 개념으로 발전되어야 할 것이다. 원거리통신 네트워크는 전철과 지상설비간의 통신계통으로 요구되는 데이타의 형태, 량 및 전송속도에 따라 설계되어야 한다. 원거리 통신네트워크의 일부인 무선시스템은 고속주행시스템의 특성이 고려되어야 한다. 최근 급속히 발전되고 있는 셀룰라시스템의 개념을 적용할 수 있을 것이다. 특히 디지탈 세룰라의 실용화가 눈앞에 보이기 때문이다.

  • 시리얼 통신은 다양한 분야의 임베디드 시스템에서 사용되는 통신 시스템의 일종이다. ${\mu}C/OS-II$는 실시간 임베디드 시스템에 사용되는 실시간 운영체제이다. S3C2440A 는 이러한 임베디드 시스템에 사용되는 마이크로 프로세서로 칩에 집적 된 UART 를 통하여 시리얼 통신을 지원한다. 이 논문에서는 시리얼 통신 중 ${\mu}C/OS-II$ 기반의 실시간 시스템을 위한 시리얼 통신의 설계와 S3C2440A로의 포팅을 한다.

  • The processing efficiency of the special purpose hardware which is designed and implemented for the FFT caculation was investigated in this paper. This hardware equipment was consisted of LSI chips of four high speed multiplier and adde $r_stractor, and was interfaced with the 16bit microcomputer(NEC PC-9801E). The FFT processing time by this hardware equipment was improved approximately 4.8 times by the co-processor(Intel C8087-3).3).

  • This paper deals with the design and development of the motorized valve control system using CANopen protocol. The CAN network protocol is used in the physical layer(layer 1) and data link layer(layer 2), and other upper network layer above that layer 1 and 2 utilize the CANopen protocol in this paper. The motorized valve controller is implemented by a PIC microprocessor, and the server application software for the control system user is written in C# language. In particular the CANopen protocol is widely used int the area such as ship automation systems and marine transportation systems. The experimental result of the proposed control system implemented in this paper is evaluated via real-time experiments, which works well as designed.
