대두피 나노 섬유화 셀룰로오스 제작 및 비교 평가 (Fabrication and Comparative Evaluation of Soybean Hull Nanofibrillated Cellulose)

  • 본 연구는 대두 부산물인 대두피로부터 나노 섬유화 셀룰로오스를 추출하고, 다른 나노 섬유화 기법으로 제작된 대두피 나노 섬유화 셀룰로오스와 비교 평가를 수행하였다. 건조 대두피를 분쇄하여 마이크로미터 크기의 분말을 제조한 후, NaOH와 HCl을 이용하여 대두피로부터 마이크로 셀룰로오스를 분리하였다. 초음파 분산 및 볼밀링을 통하여 나노미터 크기의 셀룰로오스를 추출하는데 성공하였다. 대두피 나노 섬유화 셀룰로오스는 직경 60-100 nm, 길이 0.3-1.0 ㎛의 크기를 가져 다른 나노 섬유화 기법으로 대두 나노 셀룰로오스와 직경은 유사한 수준이나 길이는 1/5 수준임을 확인하였다.

  • A multi-stage gear mold including gears of 2mm and 1.5mm diameter was designed and machined in this research for developing micro gear mold manufacturing technology with micro endmill. Mechanical shapes having differential micro teeth were analyzed to be formed as designed and processing conditions were optimized by analyzing machined surface chip and cutting force. Based on the results, a prototype of micro multi-stage gear mold was manufactured.

마이크로 밀링 EDM 머신 개발 및 가공특성 분석 (Development of Micro Milling EDM and Analysis of Machined Characteristics)

  • Micromachining is gaining popularity due to recent advancements in MEMS(Micro Electro Mechanical Systems). Using conventional micromachining, it is relatively difficult to produce moving components in the order of microns. Photolithography for silicon material has high accuracy machining, but it has low aspect ratio. X-ray lithography has ultra high accuracy machining, but it has expensive cost. Micro-EDM(electro discharge machining) has been gaining popularity as a new alternative method to fabricate micro-structures. In this study, Micro-EDM machine is developed available for fabricate micro-structures and two processes such as side cut EDM and milling EDM is proposed. Several sets of experiment results have been performed to study the characteristics of the machining process.

  • As the advance in technology requires micro mechanical systems, the production methods for micro parts are of a great interest of many researchers. Although MEMS is one of the most popular methods. it can only produce 2D microstructures. The micro manufacturing with micro-mill and micro-lathe has a great potential for producing arbitrary 3D shapes and are being researched. In this paper, a PC based 5-axis milling machine with high precision was developed. To evaluate the machine performance, micro ribs and micro columns were machined. The machining experiments of micro impeller and micro turbine blade confirmed the possibility of micro system manufacturing by using the developed milling machine.

하이브리드 코팅에 의한 Cr-Al-Si-N 마이크로 엔드밀공구의 가공성능 (Cutting performance of Cr-Al-Si-N micro end-mill tool deposited by a hybrid coatings)

  • 높은 이온화율과 복잡한 형상의 모재에도 표면 도포성 및 균일성을 나타내는 아크이온플래이팅 기술과 비전도성 세라믹 타겟물질에 적용가능한 스퍼터링 기술이 결합된 하이브리드 코팅 시스템(Hybrid coating system)을 이용하였다. 그리고 Cr-Al-N과 Cr-Si-N 코팅막의 강화 기구를 복합시킨 새로운 개념의 Cr-Al-Si-N 코팅막을 초경(WC-Co)시험편에 증착하여 Si 첨가량에 따른 미세구조의 미세경도 특성을 파악하였다. 공구성능 평가는 고속가공조건하에 마이크로 밀링기에서 무코팅(초경공구), Cr-Al-Si-N (Si : 0, 4.5, 8.7, 16 at.%) 코팅 마이크로엔드밀에 대하여 공구마멸에 대한 공구수명을 비교, 평가하였다.

미소가공을 위한 초정밀 밀링머신 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Precision Milling Machine Design for Micro Machining)

  • This paper presents the results of miniaturized micro milling machine tool development for micro precision machining process. Finite element analysis has been performed to know the relationship between design dimensional variables and structural stiffness in terms of static, dynamic, thermal aspects. Design optimization has been performed to optimize the design variables of micro machine tool to minimize the volume, weight and deformation of machine tool structure and to maximize the stiffness in terms of static, dynamic, and thermal characteristics. This study presents the assessment of the technology incentive for the minimization of machine tool in the quantitative context of static, dynamic stiffness, thermal resistance and thus the accuracy implications. This study can also be provided a basic knowledge for further research of micro factory development.

집속 이온빔 가공변수에 따른 Au 에칭 특성 연구 (The ocused Ion Beam Etching Characteristic of Au)

  • Focused Ion Beam(FIB) systems is a useful tool for the fabrication of micro-nano scale structures. In this study, the effects of FIB etching on the Au microstructure are systematically investigated. As the fabrication parameters, ion dose, dwell time and beam overlap ratio are studied. First, the increases of Ga ion dose makes the milling yield higher and the sidewall of milling profile steeper. Dwell time is found to have little effects on the milling profile due to the relatively large milling area of $1\times1{\mu}m^2$ used in this study. However, beam overlap significantly affects not only milling rate but also milling profile. As the beam overlap ratio changes from positive to negative, the development of regular cross-stripe patterns at the bottom with low milling rate is observed.

극저온 볼 밀링을 통한 Ibuprofen 분말의 마이크로화 (Micronization of Ibuprofen by Cryogenic Ball Milling)

  • For the present study, the cryogenic ball milling process was applied to make Ibuprofen microsized. The cryogenic ball milling was performed at low temperature of about -18$0^{\circ}C$ for 6 hours. The particle size distribution was determined before and after the cryogenic process. X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurement was made to determine the effect of cryogenic process on the crystallinity of Ibuprofen. The results showed that the size of Ibuproffn was reduced about 10 times by the cryogenic process. The degree of crystallinity of Ibuproffn was slightly reduced by the cryogenic process.

마이크로 방전 밀링을 이용한 미세 구조물 제작 (Fabrication of 3D Micro Structure Using Micro Electrical Discharge Milling)

  • As mechanical structures are minimized, the demand on micro dies and molds has increased. Machining complex 3D shapes requires fabrication procedures for preparing the electrodes. Micro electrical discharge milling using a simple shape electrode can produce 3D micro structure. In this paper the machining characteristics of micro electrical discharge milling according to depth of cut and capacitance are investigated. The machining time is diminished when simple tool-paths and algorithms for changing the feedrate are applied. But a distorted bottom shape and a tapered wall shape are inevitable after machining. The distorted bottom shape and the taper angle of wall are reduced by finish machining.

  • The objective of this study is to evaluate micro end-milling characteristics and tool wear behavior of AlN-hBN composites. First, AlN based composites with hBN contents in the range of 10 to 20vol% were prepared by hot-pressing. Vickers hardness and flexural strength of the prepared composite specimens were measured and compared according to the vol% of hBN variations. Then, cutting force variations were measured and analyzed using a tool dynamometer during the micro end-milling experiments; and machined surface shapes and roughness were investigated using a 3D non-contact type surface profiler. After micro end-milling, worn tools were investigated using a tool microscope and SEM images. From the experimental results, it can be observed that the cutting forces decreased, and surface qualities were improved with increasing hBN contents. At low content of hBN, tool chipping was observed; and tool wear rate decreased with increasing hBN contents. The results of this study insist that proper machining conditions, including tool wear behavior investigation, should be determined for the micro end-milling of AlN-hBN composites for its further application.
