Assessment of Interruption Costs for Residential Customers (주택용 수용가 정전비용 평가)

  • The impacts of electric service interruption to customers depend on customer and interruption characteristics. Customer characteristics include demographic aspects(residential type, and number of household members) and power supply types whereas interruption characteristics include frequency, duration, time, and day of interruption. Accordingly evaluation of these customer interruption costs is very complicated and subjective. For residential customers, customer survey method seems most appropriate because interruption impact to residential customers is intangible. In other words, the value of housework or lost leisure due to interruption is individual. Accordingly, this paper selected the customer survey method to assess the interruption costs for residential customers.

  • To reduce the effect of fault on underground power cable, we need exact and fast fault location detection technique. In this thesis, we describe on filter design technique that can be applied to on-line fault defection technique. To design fitter for fault location defection on Power cable, we should analysis fault signal. So we designed test bed for fault generation and measured fault signals for analysis. Through the analysis of signals, we found that ANC filter can be applied to separate fault signals and we designed a ANC filter. We tested on the designed filter through computer simulation, and we describe its results in this paper.

  • Industry of street lighting systems are growing rapidly and going to complexwith rapid growth of industry and cities. To control and maintain complex street lighting system more economically, various street light control systems are developed. Nevertheless most of developed systems have some drawbacks. So we are going to develop new light control system which can overcome old systems drawbacks. We surveyed various street light control systems and analyzed its characteristics. Through these efforts, we found that common drawbacks of most light control systems are uneasiness of handling and difficulty of maintenance. To reduce uneasiness of handling and difficulty of maintenance in operating light control system, we designed new street light control system by using Zigbee communication technique. In this thesis, we describe on the H/W design of new street light control system designed by using Zigbee communication protocol.

  • As the power industry moves towards open competition, there has been a call for methodology to evaluate power system reliability by using customer interruption costs. This paper presents an evaluation of interruption costs by industrial customer type in Korea using customer survey methodology. When various research results are examined, the customer damage survey methodology becomes much more generalized. Especially, in the case of industrial customers, it is known that the evaluation by customer damage survey is more useful. Accordingly, this paper selected the customer damage survey method to evaluate interruption costs by industrial customer type in Korea considering interruption and customer characteristics.

  • 스마트폰 및 태블릿 PC 보급의 빠른 확산으로 인해 e-learning 학습환경도 빠른 속도로 모바일 환경으로 전환되고 있다. 이러한 변화에 맞추어 e-learning 서비스업체들도 모바일 서비스를 앞다투어 제공하고 있으며 앞으로도 그 수는 계속 늘어날 것으로 예측된다. 하지만 아직까지는 PC에서 보던 학습 동영상을 단지 모바일 환경에 보는 수준이며 수강생이 온라인 강의를 시청하다 강사에게 실시간으로 질문을 하고 답변을 받는 등의 의사소통은 어렵다. 이러한 단점을 극복하고 강사와 수강생이 웹 환경에서 원활한 의사소통이 가능하며, 많은 수의 수강생이 동시에 접속할 수 있는 HTML5의 WebSocket과 Canvas를 기반으로 한 실시간 문제풀이 시스템을 제안하고자 한다.

  • This paper presents the results of an investigation of the direct short term impacts of electric service interruption incurred by agriculture customers. The study used a direct visit survey to determine the customer assessment of electric service interruption and characteristic. The variation in interruption cost with the characteristics of interruptions such as duration, time of day, frequency, and day of interruption was also investigated.

  • 22.9kV 가공배전선은 여러 요소들로 구성되기 때문에 뇌격에 대한 반응도 단순하지 않다. 현재의 절연협조는 대표적인 선로모델에 패한 선로상수, 접지저항 등의 대표 값을 사용하여 EMTP로 계산한 뇌충격과전압 값을 근거로 하고 있다. 절연협조 수준에 따라 경제성이 결정되고 계산에 의한 모델해석결과는 실제의 현상과 많은 차이를 나타낼 수 있음에도 불구하고 현재의 기준은 계산과정에서 사용되는 모델과 특성 값의 유효성을 확인하는 수준에 머물고 있다. 이 연구에서는 ICG로 충격전류를 인가하여 여러 가지 경우에 애자 양단에 인가되는 과전압을 실측하였다. 실측 결과 접지특성은 애자에 인가되는 과전압에 많은 영향을 미치지 않는다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

  • A cooling system for a 22.9kV, 1.25kA 100m HTS power cable has been installed and tested. The cooling system consists of decompression cooling system with the cooling capacity of 3kW and a closed circulation system of subcooled liquid nitrogen. This paper describes the outline of the installed cooling system and performance test results.

  • Demonstrations to deploy high temperature superconducting (HTS) cable to the real gird are actively carried out throughout the world. Power utilities have an interest in the inherent advantage of the HTS cable system, and achieve the expected results from the series of verification test. To embody the reliability in the phenomenon occurred commonly in three-phase system, we simulate the load unbalance. A 22.9 kV large scale HTS cable system with the specification of 100 m-long, 50 MVA capacity has been tested with up to 30% unbalance rate. To evaluate the effect of AC loss increase due to the unbalanced load, the cooling loads are measured by the calorimetry method. In this paper, the correlation between AC loss and load unbalance is described and investigated precisely.
