Effects of Chamfered Perforated Plate on Pressure Loss Characteristics (챔퍼가 적용된 타공판의 압력 강하 특성에 대한 연구)

  • Effects of chamfered perforated plate on pressure loss characteristics were studied with CFD analysis. Both inlet chamfer angle and outlet chamfer angle were considered. Perforated patterns were compared by pressure loss coefficient in certain porosity and Reynolds number. Reynolds number effects were studied for several chamfer angles and plate thickness. As the inlet chamfer angle was increased, the pressure loss coefficient was decreased until the certain angle and reversed to increase. In the outlet chamfered shape cases, the pressure loss coefficient was increased with chamfer angle. Effects of pattern shapes and Reynolds number on pressure loss characteristics were negligible with different chamfer angles and thickness studied in this paper.

  • 본 연구에서는 임의의 순간에서 난류유동장의 난류구조를 해석하기 위하여 Lumley의 특성 에디 분배법을 이용하였다. 이때 난류구조의 해석은 비등질성의 K-L 전개와 등질성의 푸리에 전개로 표현하여 그 수렴성, 레이놀즈 수의 영향 등 여러가지 특성을 연구하였다. 본 연구에서 선정한 비등질성 난류유동장은 Chambers등이 연구 한 랜덤력을 갖는 Burgers 방정식을 수치적으로 풀어서 얻었다. 이와 같은 난류유동 장을 K-L전개와 푸리에 전개로 표현할 때에 수렴성은 레이놀즈 수가 서로 다르고 또한 전개항의 수가 다를 때에 RMS 오차를 가지고 비교하였다.여기서 푸리에 전개 계수 들은 Galerkin 방법으로 구하였다.

Heat Transfer and Friction Characteristics of Louver Fin and Tube Heat Exchangers under Wet Conditions (루버핀-관 열교환기의 습조건에서의 열전달 및 마찰특성에 대한 실험 연구)

  • An experimental study was conducted to investigate the effect of a tube row, a fin pitch and an inlet humidity on air-side heat and mass transfer performance of louvered fin-tube heat exchangers under wet conditions. Experimental conditions were varied by three fin pitches, two rows, two inlet relative humidities. Experimental results showed that the heat transfer performance decreased and the friction increased with the decrease of fin pitch, for 2 row heat exchanger. The effect of fin pitch on heat transfer performance was negligible with 3 row heat exchanger. The changes in relative humidity was not affected heat transfer and friction. However, the mass transfer performance was slightly decreased with the increase of relative humidity and with the decrease of fin pitch. The mass transfer performance of the louvered fin-tube heat exchanger decreased with the decrease of the fin pitch and was different according to the number of tube row.

An Experimental Study on the Transitional Flows in a Concentric Annu- lus with Rotating Inner Cylinder (안쪽축이 회전하는 환형관내 천이유동에 관한 연구)

  • The present experimental and numerical investigations are performed on the characteristics of transitional flow in a concentric annulus with a diameter ratio of 0.52, whose outer cylinder is stationary and inner one rotating. The pressure losses and skin-friction coefficients have been measured for the fully devel-oped flow of water and that of 0.2% CMC-water solution at a inner cylinder rotational speed of 0∼600 rpm, respectively. The transitional flow has been examined by the measurement of pressure losses to reveal the relation of the Reynolds and Rossby numbers with the skin-friction coefficients. The occurrence of transition has been checked by the gradient changes of pressure losses and skin-friction coefficients with respect to the Reynolds numbers. The increasing rate of skin-friction coefficient due to the rotation is uniform for laminar flow regime, whereas it is suddenly reduced for transitional flow regime and, then, it is gradually decreased for turbulent flow regime.

  • A study has been done on the three dimensional turbulent flow characteristic near the porous wall. The porous holes are considered by penetrating the wall in regular arrangement, and porosity is controlled by diameter of holes. Flow characteristics near the three dimensional porous wall are compared with field test results and self-generated experimental results. FLUENT is employed for computational analysis on the effect of three dimensional porosity with flow and pressure characteristics. As a result, drag coefficient is defined and compared for three dimensional effect. The drag coefficient is mostly a function of porosity, whereas the effect of Reynolds number is minimal, and its correlation is presented in terms of three dimensional porosity.

  • An experimental study has been performed to investigate the performance and heat transfer characteristics of the heat exchanger for simultaneous cooling/heating heat pump. The heat transfer performance was measured using an air-enthalpy calorimeter and a constant temperature water bath, to obtain the performance evaluation and analysis of a fined tube heat exchanger. Six finned tube heat exchangers with louver fin were tested under a heating condition. Air-side heat transfer and friction were presented in terms of j-factor and f-factor. The heat transfer coefficient increased with decreasing the fin pitch, j-factor and f-factor on the fin pitch and the number of tube rows decreased with increasing Reair.

  • 조.세립상(組.細粒床) 대상(帶狀)연속구조를 갖는 개수로 흐름의 부유사 농도분포를 수치모의 하였다. 흐름의 지배방정식인 Navier-Stokes 방정식은 레이놀즈응력모형을 이용하여 해석되었으며, 와점성계수 개념을 이용하여 부유사 수송 방정식을 해석하였다. 기존의 실험결과와 비교하여 모형의 검증을 실시하였으며, 동일한 흐름에 대하여 부유사 농도 분포를 계산하였다. 부유사량의 계산 결과 매끈한 하상 위의 노도분포가 거친하상 위 보다 크게 나타났다. 또한 수치모의로부터 산정된 와확산계수를 Wang and Cheng(2005)이 제안한 해석적 방법과 비교 하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 인간동력 항공기의 주익에 적용할 에어포일 형상에 대한 공력 특성을 파악하였다. 인간동력 항공기 날개에 적용하기에 적절한 에어포일을 조사하였으며, DAE11, DAE21, DAE31, SG6043 익형에 대하여 전산유체해석 프로그램인 EDISON_CFD를 통하여 비교하였다. 인간동력 항공기의 낮은 비행속도를 감안하여 $6{\times}10^5$의 저 레이놀즈수에서 받음각에 따른 양력계수, 항력계수, 양항비 등을 얻어내어 상호 비교 분석하였다. 본 연구를 통해 인간동력 항공기 주익에 적용할 저 레이놀즈 에어포일 형상을 최종적으로 선택할 수 있는 근거 자료를 확보하였다.

  • 점탄성유체 유동에 대하여 일반적으로 U.C맥스웰 모델 또는 올드로이드 B모델이 사용되지만 이러한 모델들은-매우 큰 전단율 영역인 윤활문제에서 믿기 힘든-수직응력의 크기가 전단율의 제곱에 비례함을 나타내므로, 본 연구에서는 수직응력 계수들 (.psi.,.psi.$_{2}$)이 가정될 수 있는 Criminale-Ericksen-Filbey모델이 사용되었다. 2차 수직응력계수는 다른 문제들에서와 같이 무시되었으며 Weissenberg수가 포함된 특수레이놀즈식이 유도되었다. 이 모델의 속도분포는 -2차원 약한 점탄성 유체에 대하여 증명된 바와 같이-뉴우톤 유체와 같이 가정되었다. 유도된 특수레이놀즈 식은 Weissenberg수를 1까지 계산되었으며 그 결과 점탄성유체가 유한저어널 베 어링에서 유리한 것으로 나타났지만 그 차가 미소하여 일반베어링에서 점탄성 윤활유의 영향이 무시됨을 보였다.

Development of Low-Reynolds-Number Ssecond Moment Turbulence Closure by DNS Data (DNS 자료에 의한 저레이놀즈수 2차 모멘트 난류모형의 개발)

  • A low-Reynolds-number second moment turbulence closure was developed with the aid of DNS data. Model coefficients of nonlinear return to isotropy term were derived by use of Cayley-Hamilton theorem and two component turbulence limit condition as the functions of invariances of anisotropy and turbulent Reynolds number. Launder and Tselepidakis' cubic mean pressure strain model was modified to fit the predicted pressure-strain components to the DNS data. Two component turbulence limit condition was the precondition to be satisfied in developing the second moment turbulence closure for the realizable Reynolds stress prediction. But the satisfactions of Reynolds stress level and pressure-strain level of each component were compromised because the satisfaction of both levels was impossible.
