Digital Twin Standardization: Trends and Future Prospects (디지털 트윈 국제표준화 현황 및 전망)

  • Digital twins are gaining attention and traction across various industries and societies owing to their potential for technological advancement, utilization, and service innovation. Digital twins involve creating a software system that mirrors a real-world entity, enabling them to interact and cooperate, therfore resembling interaction between a real-world entity and a digital twin. By recognizing the importance of this technology, international standardization efforts for digital twins are actively underway toward enhancing its application across various industrial sectors. We aims to provide an overview of the current status and future prospects of digital twin standardization, focusing on the ISO/TC 184/SC 4 and ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 41 efforts.

Design of High-Speed 2-D State-Space Digital Filters Based on a Improved Branch-and-Bound Algorithm (개량된 분기한정법에 의한 고속연산 2차원 상태공간 디지털필터의 설계)

  • This paper presents an efficient design method of 2-D state-space digital filter based on an improved branch-and -bound algorithm. The resultant 2-D state-space digital filters whose coefficients are represented as the sum of two power-of-two terms, are attractive for high-speed operation and simple implementation. The feasibility of the proposed method is demonstrated by several experiments. The results show that the approximation error and group delay characteristic of the resultant filters are similar to those of the digital filters which designed in the continuous coefficient space.

  • In this paper, we are implemented the courseware targets to the integrated a digital system analysis, a design theory, and a hardware description language training and a logic analysis. This paper consists of two subjects. One is that the learning of a digital system analysis, that of a design theory, and the training of a hardware description language is simultaneously performed. The other is that the experiment of courseware. To learn the hardware description language, the explanation using sound or moving images, setting-up of a simulation or a synthesis program, and simulating are executed on a courseware. And also, we proposed an integrated systems for the hardware description language and a logic synthesis. Also, The reliablity of the tool was verified to be preyed an efficient operation of an implemented digital system courseware tool by korea computer research association.

  • This paper is introducing on a strategy of storytelling which is utilized as a core skill in developing cultural contents. The proposed storytelling method consists of three steps(planning, production, editing). The method of storytelling strategy is based on rhetoric metaphors and classifies rhetoric metaphors into three kinds of image metaphor, image personification and image simile. This thesis produced and studied 3 visual-image contents including 1 metaphor, 1 personification and 1 simile. As a result, visual-image contents can be a resonable method of the communicational act of visual-image contents with a rhetoric expression. This result will contribute to recognize the possibility of expressing visual-image contents by various figure. Recently, there are a lot of concernments on the expression by creative visual-image contents, but a theoretical study on creative idea for visual-image contents is insufficient. So, in the future, this thesis will be used for basic materials to express a creative visual-image contents, and also contribute to offering basic theories for visual-image contents study and teaching.

  • In this thesis, I categorize expression of context data required for context data inference according to five Ws and one H(5W1H) in Ubiquitous computing environment and infer superordinate context by combining context data of 4W1H with inferred context of why. This thesis suggests that we categorize specific context and service according to 6W2H added Whom(specific data or service) and How much (accuracy), and determine proper services for specific contexts by introducing the concept of rough set for expression and inference of categorized contexts and inaccurate knowledge. Since there is an limitation of the set of 0 and 1 when concerned with accuracy of services, I introduce the concept of fuzzy set. To provide users with the most appropriate service by ridding of unnecessary properties through the process of reduction, I also use the concept of rough set.

  • Increasing concern of urban community environment with acceleration of economic growth in modern generation, forcing us to recognize city's environment composition causes important factor for city's spirit. Since implementation of accountability of local government in 1995, local governments are thrives local government activation, compositing financially self support local government and competitiveness by others seeking number of methods for establishing traditional local images. In this study, analyzes cases in street environment facilities to help and support local government developing and applying special features of historical and cultural local images toward street environment facilities in city of Andong. For expression of local image in active installation of street environment facilities will increase tourism and extra value creating self esteem of local people will endures further rapid development of local government. local government seriously consider continuously supporting investment and research in street environment facilities.

  • In Semantic Web, metadata and ontology for representing semantics and conceptual relationships of information resources are essential factors. RDF and RDF Schema are W3C standard models for describing metadata and ontology. Therefore, many studies to store and retrieve RDF and RDF Schema documents are required. In this paper, we focus on some results of analyzing available query patterns considering both RDF and RDF Schema and classify queries on RDF and RDF Schema into the three patterns. RDF and RDF Schema can be represented as graph models. So, we proposed some strategies to store and retrieve using the graph models of RDF and RDF Schema. We can retrieve entities that can be arrived from a certain class or property in RDF and RDF Schema without a loss of performance on account of multiple joins with tables.

  • MPEG-4 시스템은 장면 자체를 하나의 구성 요소로 여기는 기존의 시스템과는 달리, 그 장면을 구성하는 부호화 또는 복호화된 A/V 객체(Audio/visual Objects)들을 하나의 단위로 인식하여, 다양한 멀티미디어 컨텐츠의 장면을 구성(Scene Composition)하고 표현 하는 것에 그 특징이 있다. 이러한 MPEG-4 시스템의 객체 기반 특징은 다양한 사용자와의 대화성(Interactivity)을 가능하게 하며 , 또한 편리한 컨텐츠 편집 및 재사용 등이 가능하기에 차세대 디지털 방송 컨텐츠 제작에 중요하게 활용될 전망이다. 객체 기반 A/V 편집 도구는 MPEG-4를 기반으로 차세대 디지털 방송 컨텐츠 제작을 용이하게 하기 위한 제작/편집 도구로써 , 장면을 표현하기 위하여 BIFS(Binary Format for Scene description)와 XMT(eXtensible MPEG-4 Textual format) 포맷을 모두 사용하고 있다. BIFS 포맷은 저작된 결과물을 바이너리 형태로 표현하기 때문에, 저작된 결과물을 전송하는 데에는 용이하나, 중간에 저작된 결과물을 확인하기 어렵고, 또한 기존의 다른 어플리케이션과의 상호 작용(Interoperability)과 교환(Exchange)에도 어려움이 따른다. 이에 반해, XMT는 차세대 마크업 언어로 각광 받고 있는 XML 에 그 기반을 두고 있기에 저작된 결과물을 제작자가 쉽게 저작물을 이해할 수 있으며, SMIL 과 X3D 같은 다른 어플리케이션과의 상호작용과 교환 또한 용이하게 한다 XMT는 기술 방법에 따라 XMT-A 와 XMT-0 두 가지 형태가 있으며, XMT-A 포맷은 VRML에서 발전한 X3D(extensible 3D)를 바탕으로 MPEG-4 시스템의 특징들을 수용하여 구성되고 BIFS와 일대일로 대응된다. 반면에 XMT-0는 멀티미디어 문서를 웹문서로 표현하는 SMIL 2.0 을 그 기반으로 하였기에 MPEG-4 시스템의 특징보다는 컨텐츠를 저작하는 제작자의 초점에 맞추어 개발된 형태이다. XMT를 이용하여 컨텐츠를 저작하기 위해서는 사용자 인터페이스를 통해 입력되는 저작 정보들을 손쉽게 저장하고 조작할 수 있으며, 또한 XMT 파일 형태로 출력하기 위한 API 가 필요하다. 이에, 본 논문에서는 XMT 형태의 중간 자료형으로의 저장 및 조작을 위하여 XML 에서 표준 인터페이스로 사용하고 있는 DOM(Document Object Model)을 기반으로 하여 XMT 문법에 적합하게 API를 정의하였으며, 또한, XMT 파일을 생성하기 위한 API를 구현하였다. 본 논문에서 제공된 API는 객체기반 제작/편집 도구에 응용되어 다양한 멀티미디어 컨텐츠 제작에 사용되었다.

Design and Implementation of a Real-Time Emotional Avatar (실시간 감정 표현 아바타의 설계 및 구현)

  • This paper presents the development of certain efficient method for expressing the emotion of an avatar based on the facial expression recognition. This new method is not changing a facial expression of the avatar manually. It can be changing a real time facial expression of the avatar based on recognition of a facial pattern which can be captured by a web cam. It provides a tool for recognizing some part of images captured by the web cam. Because of using the model-based approach, this tool recognizes the images faster than other approaches such as the template-based or the network-based. It is extracting the shape of user's lip after detecting the information of eyes by using the model-based approach. By using changes of lip's patterns, we define 6 patterns of avatar's facial expression by using 13 standard lip's patterns. Avatar changes a facial expression fast by using the pre-defined avatar with corresponding expression.

  • The purpose of this research is to arouse attention to the importance of eliminating the 'Shadow Encroaching Phenomena on the Essence' in advertising expression by interdisciplinarily applying ethicality. This research shows that when advertising expression is planned and executed without enough consideration of ethicality, short-term effectiveness to reach goals can be increased, but it is easy to induce an unintended 'Shadows' Boomerang Phenomena'. This research also proposes that such processes arouse consumers' ethical defense mechanisms, possibly causing the 'Shadow Encroaching Phenomena' in the end. In conclusion, this research proposes the following. First, the pursuit of commercial profit in a capitalistic society must be done under the premise of securing a consensus of ethicality in a common society. Second, under the premise of an integrated process of education, sharing, execution, and confirmation of ethicality, companies can achieve both the micro-practical goal of profit pursuit and the macro-environmental goal of ecological sympathy.
