Librarians and teacher librarians need to encourage readers to read and provide a customized competencies improvement program to reflect the performance results and characteristics of a particular group. And It is also necessary to improve and develop the library environment so that library user can understand and use library search system and the Korean decimal classification.

  • The purpose of this study is to confirm the effect of digital co-teaching between teachers online on improving students' reading literacy. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, a pre-test was conducted on first-year high school students, and a post-test was conducted after conducting the co-teaching over two sessions. For statistical analysis, the data of 101 students with no missing values in pre- and post-tests were used. Through the OECD's PISA reading literacy evaluation framework and factor analysis, a reading literacy test tool consisting of expression, comprehension, and information literacy was developed and the degree of change in reading literacy was measured through a self-report with the tool. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that the digital co-teaching had a statistically significant positive effect on the expression, comprehension and information literacy of high school students. This study is meaningful in that it shows that digital co-teaching can be applied as a way to improve reading literacy in PISA organized by the OECD.

  • This study reviewed the current status of low-experienced teacher librarians with less than 5 years and attempted to identify their educational needs through IPA analysis, Borich Priority Formula, and The Locus for Focus Model. A survey was conducted on low-experienced teacher librarians with less than 5 years of experience to analyze their process in the pre-service teacher training and experiences before an appointment and to identify teacher librarians instructional expertise. The results of the analysis of the study are as follows. First, there was a statistically significant difference between the importance and performance in all areas of instructional expertise of low-experienced teacher librarians. Second, 'reading education-practice progress' was recognized as a 'Keep up good work' with high importance and satisfaction, and 'library-based instruction planning, progress evaluation', 'information literacy-curriculum design', and 'digital and media literacy education-progress and evaluation' were recognized as areas of 'Concentrate here' through IPA analysis. Third, In the Borich Priority Formula, 'teaching-learning evaluation', 'teaching-learning progress', and 'teaching-learning plan' in the Library based instruction area showed the highest educational needs. • The purpose of this study is to identify how teacher librarians perceive the importance of each job and the expected job of other teachers and students, and to obtain basic information on their job recognition and to derive their jobs to be improved. To this end, after modifying the 25 jobs selected by Lim Jeong-hoon et al.(2021), 210 librarian teachers were measured for their own importance by job, the expected importance of other teachers and students, and the level of evaluation of their own performance ability. As a result of the analysis, teacher librarians recognized 'reading education and literacy education' as the most important, but recognized 'library event' as the most important task expected of other teachers and students, and recognized that 'library usage guidance' was the most outstanding. In addition, there were nine jobs that needed to be improved.
