The purpose of this study is to compare the speed, confidence, and ease of endotracheal intubation in a transfer posture by using the SALT(Supraglottic Airway Laryngopharyngeal Tube), and a direct laryngoscope to improve the ability to implement professional airway management. The subject of the study was an experimental study by a randomized crossover design, targeting 28 first-class emergency medical technicians working in J-do fire station, and the SPSS 20.0 version was used for data analysis. The endotracheal intubation by using SALT showed a significant difference in speed compared to endotracheal intubation by using a direct laryngoscope(p<.001), and also showed a significant difference in confidence and ease(p<.001). If it is transfer to endotracheal intubation by direct laryngoscope, or in the case of transfer patients, if SALT is used, safe and rapid intubation will be possible.

The remarkable advancement of artificial intelligence technology is bringing innovative changes to the field of education. In particular, generative AI models like ChatGPT hold great potential in self-directed programming education due to their natural conversational abilities. This study analyzed the learning effects of using ChatGPT in Scratch classes for non-SW majors. Dividing the classes into those using ChatGPT and those not, and conducting the same evaluations and surveys for the ChatGPT-utilizing group, the results showed that ChatGPT significantly enhanced learning outcomes and the utility of ChatGPT was highly evaluated in advanced learning areas such as understanding Scratch's advanced features and algorithms. This study is significant as it empirically demonstrates the potential of generative AI like ChatGPT as an effective tool in programming education.

The purpose of this study was to develop practical problem focused teaching learning process plan for housing for the later life in order to apply it to the older stage of family planning section of Technology Home Economics in a highschool. Practical problem focused method was used for the teaching learning process plans of 3-session lessons according to the ADDIE model. The global practical problem was "What should I do to plan a safe and comfortable housing for the later life?" In the development stage, 53 teaching learning materials (44 students activity materials, 2 students' and 5 teacher' reading texts, and 2 moving pictures) were developed for 3-session lessons. The planes applied to the 5 classes, 150 students, in the freshmen of B highschool during April 20th-24th, 2009. The 5 point likert questionnaire were used to evaluate the 3-session lessons about 4 contents related aspects as well as the methods and effects of the lessons besides 2 open ended questions. The overall evaluation was very positive in all 6 aspects of the lessons. Some students wanted to learn more about universal design and aging related jobs. Those results showed that the practical problem focused teaching learning process plan for housing for the later life which this study developed would be appropriate to teach the older stage of family planning section related to housing and could be adjusted to the condition of each school and regions.

As we cannot think of our lives without a nation, it is closely related to almost every part of our daily lives. The role of government is becoming more important in the complex modern society as an essential element of national authority even though the government has indirect and secondary characteristics in its functional performance. Therefore, the government has to be efficient in planning and executing its policies, and it needs to be representative and fair as part of a national authoritative community. In the 21st century when symbolic and cultural importance of images are becoming more important, it is crucial for the government organizations to have an integrated identity design system that can satisfy both of these requirements of the government. However, the C.I.(Corporate Identity) of each Korean administrative branch has been developed separately and sporadically, which resulted in lack of consistency as part of the government. Shape and material of their C.I.s that follow short term design trend and popularity also lack uniqueness which can be distinguished from those of any private corporation. This may show that our government lacks systematic administrative capability, since image of a feature represents its characteristics and reality, and their recognition and evaluation from others become identity of the feature. In this perspective, the purpose of this thesis is to suggest an identity design system that has certain rules and regularity with wide variety of possible alterations for the central administration in Korea. In order to represent this visually, identity design system with both integrity and variety of possible alteration is created based on traditional Korean culture, especially the concept of Umyang-ohaeng and Samjae.

Concept mapping is a device for representing the conceptual structure of a subject discipline in a two dimensional form which is analogous to a road map. In the teaching and learning of earth science, each concept depends on its relationships to many others for meaning. Using concept mapping in teaching helps teachers and students to be more aware of the key concepts and relationships among them. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the use of concept mapping on science achievement and the scientific attitude in ocean units of earth science. The results of this study are as follows; first, the science achievement of a group of concept mapping teaching is significantly higher than that of the group of traditional teaching. Also, when the achievement levels are compared among different cognitive ability groups, the effect is more significant in mid or lower level student groups than in high level groups. The use of concept mapping is more effective when the concepts have a distinct concept hierarchy. Second, the scores of the test of ‘attitude toward scientific inquiry’ and ‘application of scientific attitude’ of the group of concept mapping teaching are significantly higher than those of the group of traditional teaching, whereas the scores of the test of ‘interest in science learning’ of concept mapping teaching is not different from those of group of traditional teaching. Third, the survey on the use of concept mapping shows a positive response across the tested groups. The use of concept mapping is more beneficial in fostering the comprehension of the topic. A concept map of student's own construction facilitates the assessment of learning, thus promising the usefulness of concept mapping as a means of evaluation. In regard to retention aspect, concept mapping is considered to be more effective in confirming and remembering the topic, while less effective in the aspects of activity and interest. In conclusion, the use of concept maps makes learning an active meaningful process and improves student's academic achievement and scientific attitude. If the concept mapping is more effectively as an active teaching strategy, more meaningful learning will be attained.

The emergence of new communication media, digital, is something of a wonder, as well as a cultural tension. The industrial technologies that dramatically expand human abilities are being developed much faster than the speed of adaptation by humans. Without an exception, it creates new contents and form of the culture by shaking the very foundation of the notion about human beings. Korean broadcasting environment has stepped into the era of multi-media, multi-channel as the digital technology separated the media into network, cable, satellite and internet. In this digital culture, broadcasting, as a medium of information delivering and communication, has bigger influence than ever. Such changes in broadcasting environment turned the TV viewers into new consumers who participate and play the main role in active communication by choosing and using the media. This study is trying to systemize the question about the core identity of broadcasting through brand as the consumers stand in the center of broadcasting with the power to select channel. The story schema theory can be applied as a cognitive psychological tool to approach the active consumers in order to explain the cognitive processes that are related to information processing. It is a design with stories, which comes up as a case of a brand's story telling. The range of this study covers the current issue and educational programs in network TV during the period of May and August of year 2005. The cases of Korean and foreign programs were compared by the station each program is broadcasted. This study concludes that it is important to take the channel identity into the consideration in the brand strategy of each program. Especially, the leading programs of a station must not be treated as a separate program that has nothing to do with the station's identity. They must be treated to include the contents and form that builds the identity of the channel. Also, this study reconfirmed that building a brand of the anchor person can play as an important factor in the identity of the program's brand.

Tidal flats have been regarded to carry out transformation and removal of land-derived organic matter, and this purifying capability of organic matter by tidal flats is one of very important reasons for their conservation. However, integral biogeochemical studies on production and decomposition of organic matter by benthic microbes in tidal flats have been absent in Korea, although the information is indispensable to quantification of the purifying capability. Our major goals in this multidisciplinary research were to understand major biogeochemical processes and rates mediated by diverse groups of microbes dominating material cycles in the tidal flats, and to assess the contribution of benthic microbes to removal of organic matter and nutrients in the tidal flats. Our study sites were Ganghwa and Incheon north-port tidal flats that had been regarded as naturally well reserved and organically polluted, respectively. Our research group measured over 3 years primary production, biomass and community structure of primary producers, abundance and production of bacteria, enzyme activities, distribution of protozoa and protozoan grazing rates, rates of denitrification and sulfate reduction, early sediment diagenesis, primary production and respiration based on oxygen microelectrode. We analyzed major features of each biogeochemical process and their interactions. The results are compiled in the following articles in this special issue: An (2005), Hwang and Cho (2005), Mok et at. (2005), Na and Lee (2005), Yang et at. (2005), and Yoo and Choi (2005).

Paderborn's companies, Wameling and Cassau, produce the liturgical vestments, which have much traditional artistic merit. And Kevelaerer Fahnen + Paramenten GmbH, located in Kevelater which is a place of pilgrimage of the Virgin Mary, was known to Europe, Africa, America and the Scandinavia Peninsula as the "Hidden Company" of liturgical vesments maker up to now. Paderborn and Kevelaer were the place of the center of the religious world and the Catholic ceremony during a good few centries. The Catholic liturgical vestiments of these 3 companies use versatile design, color, shape and techniques. These have not only the symbolism of religion, but also can meet our's expectations of utilization of modern textile art, art clothing and wide-all division of design. These give the understanding of symbolic meanings and harmony according to liturgical vestments to the believers. And these have an influence on mental thinking and induction of religious belief to the non-believers as the recognition and concerns about the religious art. The liturgical vestments are clothes which churchmen put on at the all ceremonial function of a mass, a sacrament, performance and a parade according to rules of church. These show the represen-tation of "Holy God" in silence and distinguish between common people and churchmen. And these represent a status and dignity of churchmen and induce majesty and respect to churchmen. Common clothes of the beginning of the Greece and Rome was developed to Christian clothes with the tendency of religion. There were no special uniforms distinguished from commen people until the Christianity was recognized officially by the Roman Emperor Constantinus at A.D.313. The color of liturgical vestments was originally white and changed to special colors according to liturgical day and each time by the Pope Innocentius at 12th century. The color and symbolic meaning of the liturgical vestments of present day was originated by the Pope St. Pius(1566-1572). Wool and Linen was used as decorations and materials in the beginnings and the special materials like silk was used after 4th century and beautiful materials made of gold thread was used at 12th century. It is expected that there is no critical changes to the liturgical vestments of future. But the development of liturgical vestments will continues slowly by the command of conservative church and will change to simple and convenient formes according to the culture, the trend of the times and the fashion of clothes. The companies of liturgical vestments develop versatile design, embroidery technique and realization of creative design for distinction of the liturgical vestments of each company and artistic progress. The cooperation of companies, artists and church will make the bright future of these 3 companies. We expect that our country will be a famous producing center of the liturgical vestments through the research and development of companies, participation of artists in religeous arts and concerts of church.

복잡한 전자부품의 조립시에 필요한 열적 디자인에 관한 정보는 오래전부터 실험을 통하여 얻어지고 있다. 실험적 데이터를 이용하여 무차원 파라미터로 표시된 실험결과는 꼭 같지는 않지만 현상적으로는 비슷한 상황에 응용될 수 있다. 여기서는 학술문헌에 나타나 있는 자연대류에 관한 실험적인 상관관계식들과 프레임에 수직으로 꽂혀있는 균일가열 전자회로기판의 모델에서 얻어진 무차원 자료들을 비교하고자 한다. 대부분의 자료들은 수정채널 Rayleigh수(Ra")가 15~100범위에 속하며, 이러한 범위는 부품이 조밀하게 배치된 기관이 서로 좁은 채널을 이루고 있으며, 동시에 상당한 전력을 소비하고 있는 경우에 해당한다. Wirt와 Stutzman, Bar-Cohen과 Rohsenow의 일반상관관계식은 AT'||'&'||'T Bell 연구소에서 개발된 전자기기를 이용하여 수집한 실험데이터를 잘 표현하고 있으며 10 < Ra" <1,000범위에서 추천될 수 있다. 두개의 유사한 상관관계식과 비교할 때 상당히 좋은 예측을 보였으며 또한 Sparrow와 Gregg의 연구결과와도 잘 일치하므로 Ra" < 10인 경우에 Aung의 완전발달층류의 채널유동방식, Ra" > 1,000인 경우에는 Aung등의 단일 수직평판 근사식이 추천될 수 있다. OSMU is now one of the most important keywords in the media industry. However, how to educate future media workers who can design and implement OSMU is an unsolved problem to media educators. In order to overcome the limitations of two perspectives of OSMU, namely economic perspective and storytelling perspective, this study propose a new OSMU education model for college students. Beginning with creating local content using MediaWiki, this model consists of five phases of media windowing, including MediaWiki, smartphone application, Web design, multimedia e-magazine for tablet PC, and publication. A Chuncheon-based university has been experimenting with this new OSMU education program. MediaWiki has played important role for creating local content collaboratively. All That Chuncheon application is now on service via SKT Tstore and Chuncheon Web pages has been designed successfully. Multimedia e-magazine and book publication is under preparation. The experiment has been successful so far, mainly due to the strategic choice of local content as the source of following media window. Also students have been strongly motivated for participating in this OSMU program.
