  • 수공구조물 설계의 기준을 정하기 위해서 수문자료의 빈도해석이 널리 사용되고 있다. 수문자표의 빈도해석 기법으로는 자료의 차원과 기법에 따라서 총 네 개로 구분할 수 있다. 그 네 개의 빈도해석은 다음과 같다 1) 단변량 수문자료와 지점별로 확률분포형 모형을 구축하는 단변량 지점빈도해석, 2) 다변량 수문자료와 지점별로 확률분포형을 구축하는 다변량 지점빈도해석, 3) 단변량 수문자료와 동일지점내의 확률분포모형을 구축하는 단변량 지역빈도해석, 4) 다변량 수문자료와 동일지점내의 확률분포모형을 구축하는 다변량 지역빈도해석. 현재는 다변량 지역빈도해석에 대한 연구사 수문분야에서 활발히 연구되고 있다. 현재 다변량 지역빈도해석에 대한 한국의 극한 강우 자료에 대한 연구가 진행되지 않았기 때문에, 본 연구에서는 이변량 극한강우자료에 대한 다변량 지역빈도해석의 적용성을 평가하였다.

Design and Implementation of a Face Authentication System (딥러닝 기반의 얼굴인증 시스템 설계 및 구현)

  • This paper proposes a face authentication system based on deep learning framework. The proposed system is consisted of face region detection and feature extraction using deep learning algorithm, and performed the face authentication using joint-bayesian matrix learning algorithm. The performance of proposed paper is evaluated by various face database , and the face image of one person consists of 2 images. The face authentication algorithm was performed by measuring similarity by applying 2048 dimension characteristic and combined Bayesian algorithm through Deep Neural network and calculating the same error rate that failed face certification. The result of proposed paper shows that the proposed system using deep learning and joint bayesian algorithms showed the equal error rate of 1.2%, and have a good performance compared to previous approach.

  • 현재 다양한 분야에서 AI 가 사용되고 있다. 최근에는 소프트웨어공학 관점에서 요구 사항 분석에 Chat GPT 와 같은 LLM 모델을 적용하고 있다. 하지만 1) 대부분의 생성형 AI 는 불투명한 공정을 통해 3D 이미지가 생성하고, 3D 이미지를 생성할 때마다 다른 이미지를 생성한다. 이에 따라 동일한 인물이나 사물을 사용하고 싶은 사용자들은 동일한 객체가 들어간 그림을 일관성 있게 생성할 수 없다. 2) 또한 LLM 과 이미지 생성 AI 와의 결합이 시도 되고 있지만 문장 의미 분석 성능이 부족하다. 이를 해결하기 위해, 자연어 요구사항을 언어학적 기법을 통해 분석하고, 분석 결과를 기반으로 UML 시퀀스 다이어그램 및 3D 객체 생성 메커니즘을 제안한다. 즉 언어학적 분석 기법을 통해, 요구사항의 정확한 의미와 속성을 추출한다. 그런 다음 추출된 정보를 시퀀스 다이어그램과 매핑하여 3D 객체 이미지를 생성한다. 제안하는 방법을 통해 3D 객체 생성의 소프트웨어 개발 공정 사용으로 생산성을 높여 시간과 비용을 단축할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

Perception and Help-Seeking Behavior among Older Persons: Six Hypothetical Elder Mistreatment Scenarios (노인학대 인식과 도움요청 태도에 관한 연구: 여섯 가지 노인학대 시나리오를 중심으로)

  • Despite a growing trend in elder mistreatment, research about the problem and its effects on the victims has been sparse. Notably missing are the perspectives of older adults themselves, whose perceptions and responses to elder mistreatment are greatly affected by social and cultural context. The purpose of this study is to examine factors associated with older persons' perceptions of elder mistreatment and subsequent help-seeking behaviors. Six hypothetical scenarios featuring elders were the basis of interviews with 124 older persons, drawn by a quota sampling strategy. Findings indicated that older persons perceived situations of physical abuse (87.9%), financial abuse (86.3%), and psychological abuse (66.1%) to be elder mistreatment, yet respondents showed less sensitivity to elder mistreatment that took the form of physical mistreatment within a couple (47.6%), neglect (40.3%), and self-neglect (16.9%). Certain scenarios yielded less intention to seek help: namely, physical mistreatment within a couple, neglect, and self-neglect. Older persons' personal characteristics, social factors, and cultural factors exerted significant influence on both perception and help-seeking behavior. Perception was identified as a key factor that significantly influenced help-seeking behavior. Findings point to awareness of cultural and social context for success in elder mistreatment prevention, intervention, and policy design for this population.

Single-Cell-Imaging-Based Analysis of Focal Adhesion Kinase Activity in Plasma Membrane Microdomains Under a Diverse Composition of Extracellular Matrix Proteins (다양한 ECM 조건하에서의 세포막 미세영역 부위 국소접착인산화효소 활성의 단일세포 이미징 기반 분석)

  • Focal adhesion kinase (FAK) is known to regulate cell adhesion, migration, and mechanotransduction in focal adhesions (FAs). However, studies on how FAK activity is regulated in the plasma membrane microdomains according to the composition of extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins are still lacking. A genetically encoded fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET)-based biosensor can provide useful information on the activity of intracellular signals with high spatiotemporal resolution. In this study, we analyzed the FAK activities in lipid raft (detergent-resistant membrane) and non-lipid raft (non-detergent-resistant membrane) microdomains using FRET-based membrane targeting FAK biosensors (FAK-Lyn and FAK-KRas biosensors) under four different ECM protein compositions: glass, type 1 collagen, fibronectin, and laminin. Interestingly, FAK activity in response to laminin in a lipid raft microdomain was lower than that in other ECM conditions. Cells subjected to fibronectin showed higher FAK activity in a lipid raft microdomain than that in a non-lipid raft microdomain. Therefore, this study demonstrates that the FAK activity can be distinctively regulated according to the ECM type and the environment of the plasma membrane microdomains.

  • With Cartesian dichotomy, a person's behavior and illness distinguished sharply between "biologically based" phenomena and "psychologically based" phenomena in western country. But a more balanced view that considers both concepts swept into psychiatry in the 1960s and 1970s. And ironically, the revolution of neurosicience and genetics have now reached a level of sophistication that allow it to serve as a bridge between biology and psychosocial environment. So, even subtle changes in the environment can produce biological changes in the brain. We review the history of definitions and relationship of mind and body. And we provide a selective survey of the recent 3 conceptual models of mind-body relationships in general-biopsychosocial model, mental-physical identity theory, organic unity theory-, the relationships of genetic and environment, and stress-diathesis model.

Evaluation of Bolus Applicability through Dose Evaluation According to 3D Print Materials (3D 프린트 소재에 따른 선량평가를 통한 볼루스 적용성 평가)

  • Among the 4th Industrial Revolution technologies, evaluated bolus applicability through dose assesment according to the materials of 3D printing technology. Dose assesment was using MCNPX which was applied Monte Carlo method and 3D print materials were ABS, PC and PLA. Thus, the thickness with the same effect as the bolus 10 mm was found to be ABS 10 mm, PC 9 mm and PLA 9 mm for the 6 MeV electron. For 6 MV X-ray, ABS 11 mm, PC 10 mm and PLA 9 mm were shown. This study showed that tissue equivalent materials made from 3D printer materials can replace bolus.

  • A public key certificate may be revoked before its validity period due to causes like the owner identification information change or the private key damage. Since a certificate has long valid time relatively, it is possible to become revoked during lifetime of certificate. The main technical issue in the public key infrastructure is how to handle the status of the certificate. We propose a simple mechanism for online certificate status validation that is suited to the financial network The characteristic of the proposed method is to broadcast certificate revocation information by using verifier list. The experimental results provide the same realtime as OCSP(Online Certificate Status Protocol). The proposed mechanism reduces the network load for certificate status validation in highly concentrated unbearable network.

  • In the past, measures for the reduction of industrial accidents has led the safety and health policy of construction sites by the guidance, supervision and the regulation according to 「Occupation Safety and Health Act」 handled by Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL). Nowadays companies realize that due to the factors such as diversification of employment types, outsourcing of hazardous work, new construction method and complicated types of construction, etc., there is a limit on safety management for construction sites as far as it is passively led by the governmental safety management policy and regulation. In this study, in order to practice the autonomous safety management escaping from the government-led safety management, improvement plans are proposed and applied by analyzing the basic cause of the all kinds of fall accidents that could possibly occur in the apartment construction sites and by verifying the hazardous factors and risks by fields.

  • Profile control chart aims to detect a change in the functional relationship of multivariate characteristics in the statistical process control. In monitoring two variables, a linear profile is of interest composed of the intercept and slope of one variable (response variable) against the other (explanatory variable). The previous studies on monitoring of the linear profile mostly assume that the explanatory variables are the same for all profiles. However, there are also cases where they vary depending on profiles. This paper intends to extend the monitoring method to where explanatory variables are different for each profile. We compare the new method's performance through simulation and apply it to monitoring a network intrusion using NSL-KDD data.
