A Study on the Influence of Automatic Control System on the Production of Chemical Propylene (자동제어 시스템이 케미칼 프로플린 생산에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • In this study, we analyzed the effects of the automatic control system on the reactor operation. The Propyrene Reactor process is complex and typically is inefficient and costly due to the lack of productivity. In this study, a research model was presented with the aim of supplementing obstacles to enhance operational efficiency and increase productivity. The configuration of the existing processes was analyzed to complement the hardware and software systems with original models. The composition of the facility is applied to eight reactor units producing 600,000 ton/year propylene per year. As a result of applying the research model, efficiency of operation was increased, and production volume increased from 90 to 95%, along with 91% Reliability. Future studies will present a research model to improve productivity by 100 percent. In addition, we will study the stability and productivity improvement of PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) systems, which are the hydrogen production process of propylene by-products.

  • This study proposes a voltage control scheme in a synchronous reference frame to improve the dynamic characteristics of double-conversion UPSs. UPSs need to control positive and negative sequence voltage, so that positive and negative sequence extractors are generally used to obtain each sequence of the voltage and current. Voltage and current controllers for each sequence are implemented. However, the extractor causes considerable delay, and the delay restricts the control performance, especially for the current controller. To improve the dynamics of the current controller, the proposed scheme adopts a unified current controller without separating positive and negative sequences. By using discrete-time current controller, the control bandwidth can be extended significantly so that negative sequence current can be controlled. To enhance the performance, an additional feed-forward technique for output voltage regulation is proposed. The validity of the proposed controller is verified by experiments.

  • The electrical load testing system developed from this study was designed to control rated-capacity-testing or variable-load-testing in an active and precise manner and save electric energy during testing, and also to convert the saved electric energy through the electrical load testing system to grid line. As for the device under testing, it was designed to be applied to not only transformer, rectifier, voltage regulator, inverter which require grid voltage source but, also applied to electric power, aerogenerator, photovoltaic, hybrid generator, battery, etc. which do not require grid voltage source. The system was designed to return the power consumed during the testing to the grid line by connecting the synchronizing pwm inverter circuit to the grid voltage source, and was also made to enable the being-tested system from disuse of approximately 93.4% energy when compared to the conventional load testing system which has used the passive resistor.

  • As a development test of the 75-tonf LOx/Kerosene liquid rocket engine for KSLV-II first Stage Engine, hot firing test of 75-tonf engine are performed. The current status of development test on first stage 75-tonf engine system including combustion chamber, turbopump, gas generator, propellant supply system are presented. During the 75tonf engine test campaign, the development of startup sequence of LOx-Kerosene engine system, engine startup using pyrostarter, ignition of gas generator, steady operation and engine shutdown is successfully performed. As a passenger test during engine hot firing tests, Thrust Vector Control system (TVC) of the engine are also evaluated during engine hot firing test. The results of hot firing test of 75-tonf thrust engine system will be used for the design confirmation and performance evaluation of 75 tonf engine system for KSLV-II first Stage.

  • This paper presents a sensorless speed control of cylindrical permanent magnet synchronous motors(PMSM) using an adaptive integral binary observer In view of composition with a main loop regulator and an auxiliary loop regulator, the binary observer has a property of the chattering alleviation in the constant boundary layer. However, the steady state estimation accuracy and robustness are dependent upon the width of the constant boundary. In order to improve the steady state performance of the binary observer, the binary observer is formed by adding extra integral dynamics to the switching hyperplane equation. With the help of integral characteristic, the rotor speed can be finely estimated and utilized for a sensorless speed controller for PMSM. Since the Parameters of the dynamic equations such as machine inertia or a viscosity friction coefficient are lot well known, there are many restrictions in the actual implementation. The proposed adaptive integral binary observer applies an adaptive scheme so that observer may overcome the problem caused by using the dynamic equations and the rotor speed is constructed by using the Lyapunov function. The observer structure and its design method are described. The experimental results of the proposed algorithm are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach.

  • Permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is receiving increased attention for servo drive applications in recent years because of its high torque to inertia ratio, superior power density and high efficiency. Vector-controlled PMSM has the same operating characteristics as separately excited dc motor. The drive system of servo motor is requested to have an accurate response for the speed reference and a quick recovery for the disturbance such as load torque. However the dynamics of PMSM drive change greately by parameter variations. Morever, when the unkown and inaccessible disturbances are imposed on PMSM, the drive system is given a significant effect by them. As a result, the drive system with both a fast drive performance and a reduced sensitivity to parameter variations is requested. In this paper, the robust control system of PMSM with torque feedforward using load torque observer is presented. In the proposed system, load torque is estimated by the reduced order observer, and the robust control system against load torque variation is realized using the torque feedforward. Moreover, the design of speed controller with the torque observer is discussed. Simulation results show that the proposed method is effective for suppression of parameter variations and load disturbance.

  • A control approach for the sensorless speed control of interior permanent magnet synchronous motor(IPMSM) based on adaptive integral the binary is proposed. With a main loop regulator and an auxiliary loop regulator, the binary observer has a property of the chattering alleviation in the constant boundary layer. In order to improve the steady state performance of the binary observer, the binary observer is formed by adding extra integral augmented switching the hyperplane equation. By mean of integral characteristics, the rotor speed can be finely estimated and utilized for a sensorless speed controller for IPMSM. The proposed adaptive integral binary observer applies an adaptive scheme, because the parameters of the dynamic equations such as the machine inertia or the viscosity friction coefficient is not well known and these values can be easily changed generally during normal operation. Therefore, the observer can overcome the problem caused by using the dynamic equations, and the rotor speed estimation is constructed by using the Lyapunov function. The experimental results of the proposed algorithm are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach.

  • 전력계통은 전력수요의 지속적인 성장에 따라서 전력설비의 추가를 지속적으로 추진하고 있지만, 심해지는 환경문제 등으로 인해 용지 확보에 어려움이 있다. 이로 인해 송전선로 장거리화, 용량부족량 등 전력계통에 여러 가지 복잡한 문제가 야기되는데. 이것은 곧 전력계통의 안정도와 직결된다. 이러한 문제를 효과적이면서 경제적인 해결방법으로 FACT(Flexible AC Transmission System)기술이 주목 받고 있다. FACTS 기기 중 SVC(Static Var Compensator)는 상용운전 중이며, 기존 동기조상기에 비해 저렴하고, 신속 정확한 전압제어를 하는 장점이 있다. SVC는 TCR(Thyristor Controlled Reactor)과 TSC(Thyristor Switched Capacitor), FC(Fixed Capacitor)등 여러 종류의 구성을 가지고 있다. 합성시험회로설비(Synthetic Test Circuit)는 Thyristor로 구성된 TCR, TSC Valve를 실제 운전조건으로 동작시켜 SVC Valve의 신뢰성을 검증하는 설비이다. 특히, TSC Valve는 운전시 초기 과전류가 발생하는 운전특성상 이에 대한 평가기준에 따른 시험을 통해 신뢰성을 반드시 검증하여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 IEC 61954에서 제시하는 시험평가 기준에 의거하여 TSC의 Overcurrent Test를 위한 STC 평가 방법를 기술하고 설계된 TSC 시험을 위한 STC topology와 Simulation으로 검증 방법을 기술한다.

  • A numerical analysis for the internal flow was carried out in order to analyze the leakage flow characteristics inside the damped bypass valve. This research has found that the valve characteristics became stable at above a specific temperature. Very small amount of leakage flow was occurred. But there was no effect in temperature. The more temperature fell, the more maximum pressure rate was increased.

A Compensation Method for Time Dealy of Full Digital Synchronous Frame Current Regulator of PWM ac Drives (디지털 동기좌표계 전류제어기에서의 시지연을 고려한 PWM 기법)

  • In a full digital implementation of a current regulator, the voltage output is inevitably delayed due to arithmetic calculation and PWM. In case of the synchronous frame current regulator, the time delay is accompanied by the rotation of frame. In some applications in which the ratio of sampling frequency to output frequency is not high enough, such as high power drive or super high-speed drive, it is known that the effect of rotation of frame during the delay time causes phase and magnitude error in the voltage output. The error degrades the dynamic performance and can bring about the instability of current regulator at high speed. It is also intuitively known that advancing the phase of voltage output can mitigate the instability. In this paper, the instability problems are studied analytically and a compensation method for the error has been proposed. By means of computer simulation and complex root locus analysis, comparative study with conventional methods is carried out and the effectiveness of proposed method is verified.
