The enforcement of the digital switch been two years, but more than half of the viewers are still not enjoying the benefits of it. Therefore, the government proposed that 8VSB transmission method so that majority of the viewer is able to enjoy the benefits of a digital switch. However, the claim has been suggested that 8VSB transmission method will have negative impacts on broadcast market feedback. In this regard, this study verified the effect of 8VSB and the method of minimization on the broadcast market. This study has conducted in-depth interviews concerned experts to achieve this purpose. Results of an interview revealed that the negative impact on the market of content and platforms, network is very small. In other words, the majority of the experts argued that the policy of government about 8VSB transmission are inadequate and it is improved to broaden the choice of the broadcast consumer.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of information system factors and organizational factors on procedural management performance in small and medium-sized venture companies in the Seoul metropolitan area. In the previous study was conducted mainly on large companies and general SMEs. In this study, the research was conducted considering the characteristics of SMEs. The results showed that system suitability, system quality, and IT assets had a positive effect on procedural management performance, and manager perception and human resource capacity had a positive effect on procedural management performance. But the evaluation and compensation did not have a positive effect on procedural management performance. The results of this study showed almost the same results as those of the previous studies. Venture firms have poor financial ability, technology, and organizational management ability than general SMEs. However, the introduction and diffusion factors of new information systems were not significantly different from those of general SMEs.

This study empirically investigates how the switching barriers influence the consumer's perceived intention to change his or her current favorite internet shopping mall. Drawing from switching cost theory, variables pertaining to trust, shopping mall service quality, product price, web page quality, switching barriers were examined to examine the consumer's behavioral intention to switch to another shopping mall. The interaction effect of consumer involvement was also included in the research model. The results of the study report that customer satisfaction and switching cost influence shopping switching intention, while the effect of attractiveness of the shopping mall was not significant in the statistical analysis. Furthermore, a moderating effect of consumer involvement was not found significant in the PLS analysis. The study demonstrates the shopping mall owners try to increase the customer's overall satisfaction and raise the switching barrier by providing mileage advantages, for instance.

Face recognition payment service is an innovative payment method based on face recognition technology and is emerging in China now. Various industries regarding unmanned sales are likely to utilize this face recognition payment service in the future. This study investigated the factors influencing the usage intention of Chinese consumers who have experience using face recognition service. We used questionnaire survey and analysis with SPSS and AMOS. According to the results of the study, conclusions are as followed. First, consumers' attitudes toward the characteristic of face recognition payment service, which are non-contact and non-coercion, positively affected perceived usefulness. Second, the rapidness of the facial recognition payment among the recognition, the security and the rapidness of this service affected the ease of use. Third, social influences such as subjective norms also influence the intention to use. Fourth, the increase of the level of self-expression awareness and the intention of using face recognition payment service are confirmed. Through these results, the implications for design and communication of related innovative services were discussed.

After COVID-19, hotel industry is rapidly experiencing changes in the business environment, and under the influence of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, hotel industry is striving to secure competitive advantages through differentiation, including the use of big data and the IoT in service provision, as well as the introduction of artificial intelligence(AI) robot services. This study analyzed the perceived value of AI robot services and their impact on usage attitudes and behavioral intentions of customers who have used hotels that have introduced AI robot services. The results of the study showed that the value of robot services perceived by customers who have used robot services in hotels is categorized into three dimensions: social, experiential, and functional, and all of them have a positive effect on usage attitudes, with social, functional, and experiential values having a positive effect on usage attitudes in that order. Attitude toward use was also analyzed to have a positive effect on behavioral intention, which is consistent with the value-attitude-behavior model. Therefore, it is necessary for hotels to improve the satisfaction of hotel guests through diversified services of AI robot service.

Recently, the need to introduce bus lines on a welfare basis is increasing as public intervention in bus routes is accelerated through semi-public bus system. The main objective of this study is to establish the concept of PSO (public service obligation) bus line on a welfare basis and propose a classification method of PSO bus line under semi-public bus system. We introduced 3 indexes such as "equity" in terms of bus line distribution, "publicity" in terms of age distribution, and "profitability" in terms of bus operating revenues. On the basis of 3 indexes, we introduced the PSO bus line, which is fair and public, even if it is not profitable. Based on the concept established in this study, we divided 130 ordinary city bus lines in Busan Metropolitan City into 8 PSO bus lines. Also, considering the positive impact of public buses, which are less profitable, but improve the mobility of residents and secure public community, we suggested the need to introduce public buses in bus service shortage areas.

The variation of marine accidents and ship's insurances is to be the measurement of assessment concerned effect of importing ISM Code because each kind of ship accident's expenses and compensation for the loss have an effect on the ship's insurance and P&I insurance. Therefore in this study, we had grasped the accomplishment of importing ISM Code, using analysis of the variation of marine accidents and ship's insurances in domestic shipping companies from one year ago to 8 years after importing ISM Code. As the result of analysis, compared with the period of a year before carrying out ISM Code, marine accidents were showed a decrease of about 14.4% at 8th year of importing ISM Code. Also, the insurance had tended downward every year.

This study examines the factors affecting Korean firms' adoption of maternity protection practices. From a neo-institutional perspective, we argue that firms adopt institutionally legitimized practices mainly for their legitimacy concern rather than technical efficiency. Analysis of data from Establishment panel survey reveals that firms which belong to public sector, has received foreign investment, bench-mark leading firms, or have HR department are more actively adopting maternity protection practices and are showing lower level of decoupling between model and reality. These results imply that legitimacy concern matters among Korean firms in terms of adopting maternity protection practices. We propose that it is important for government agencies to take institutional factors into account when they try to promote maternity protection policy among firms in dealing with the problems of low fertility and gender equity.

This study reveals the longitudinal vibration mechanism of tendon embedded in a prestressed concrete. The extensional and torsional displacements of the strand are coupled, and the applied prestress level of tendon affects not only axial rigidity but also torsional rigidity. Measuring the elastic wave velocity of tendon, the applied prestress level of tendon could be evaluated. This is because the elastic wave velocity is a function of extensional and torsional rigidity. Using the experimental results for the six prsteressed concrete beams with different prestress levels, the longitudinal vibration mechanism and the effect of prestress level have been examined. To estimate the system ridigities of tendon, a system identification algorithm has been newly developed. The estimated system rigidities have been compared with the available results of related previous study.

The Bimodal Tram being developed in Korea is a new transit system that provides both benefits of rail and bus systems in terms of accessibility and fixed time schedule. The Bimodal Tram is expected to take an important role of transit system in Korea under the national strategy of transportation system such as 'Low Carbon and Green Growth' for the next generation. This study does define the key indices considered for a decision of introducing the Bimodal Tram system and develop a finalized index, BSI(Bimodal Score for Introduction), showing the level of Bimodal Tram system introduced at a city level. The transport/transit system varies depending on cities with respect to demographic characteristics, travel patterns, financial capabilities, etc. This study will help any cities where transport agencies are trying to introduce the Bimodal Tram as a new transit system.
