  • To fabricate intermetallic nanoparticles with high oxygen reduction reaction activity, a high-temperature heat treatment of 700 to 1,000 ℃ is required. This heat treatment provides energy sufficient to induce an atomic rearrangement inside the alloy nanoparticles, increasing the mobility of particles, making them structurally unstable and causing a sintering phenomenon where they agglomerate together naturally. These problems cannot be avoided using a typical heat treatment process that only controls the gas atmosphere and temperature. In this study, as a strategy to overcome the limitations of the existing heat treatment process for the fabrication of intermetallic nanoparticles, we propose an interesting approach, to design a catalyst material structure for heat treatment rather than the process itself. In particular, we introduce a technology that first creates an intermetallic compound structure through a primary high-temperature heat treatment using random alloy particles coated with a carbon shell, and then establishes catalytic active sites by etching the carbon shell using a secondary heat treatment process. By using a carbon shell as a template, nanoparticles with an intermetallic structure can be kept very small while effectively controlling the catalytically active area, thereby creating an optimal alloy catalyst structure for fuel cells.

  • Korean entrepreneurship education has been focused on the subject selection and curriculum based research according to the stage of entrepreneurship process. But problem is happen in the theory based lecture and unrealistic content of entrepreneurship education. Recent studies in technology entrepreneurship recommend integrated approaches to educating students to operate in this space integrated programs span disciplinary lines, but more important, they combine coursework on fundamental concepts and processes with real team-based projects on technology commercialization. At the core of TI:GER(R) is a three-course academic track that provides instruction in technology commercialization processes with a focus on intellectual property/technology law and business fundamentals. Technology, management, and law are the key success content of entrepreneurship education and we need the approach the integration of these factors.

  • Objective: This study investigated the effectiveness of bee venom acupuncture for a diabetic neuropathy patient. Methods: A diabetic neuropathy patient received twenty-one bee venom acupuncture treatments for a total of 99 days. The Neuropathy Pain Scale (NPS) was used to evaluate the weekly peak pain during the treatment period. Results: After the treatments, the NPS scores improved, and the frequencies of peak pain decreased. Conclusions: This clinical case indicates that bee venom acupuncture combined with Korean medicine may be effective for treating diabetic neuropathy patients.

  • The purpose of this case report is to describe the effectiveness of Korean medicine in the treatment of gait disturbance in advanced stage multiple system atrophy-cerebellar type (MSA-C). This inpatient was treated with herbal medicine, acupuncture, pharmaco-acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, and chuna therapy. The gait disturbance was assessed by Unified Multiple System Atrophy Rating Scale(UMSARS), Tinnetti test, and 16m walking spatial features. After treatment, UMSARS Part I score was enhanced, decreasing from 29 to 24, Part II score from 34 to 18. Tinetti test score increased from 7 to 20. Gait stride length increased and width decreased. This study suggests that Korean medical treatment could be an effective treatment for delaying the progress of gait disturbance in advanced-stage MSA-C patients.

  • This study examined the meaning of employees' university-graduate school experiences for job conversion. For it, date was collected and analyzed by in-depth interview for 7 employees with university-graduate school experiences from Jun. to Doc. 2018. As a result, 3 great ranges and 8 sub-factors of the meaning of employees' university-graduate school experience for job conversion. were drawn. First is the change of value changing new view and recognition. Second is confidence improvement, motivation, and psychological change recovering interests and aptitudes. Third is changes of actual life that obtain pleasure of leaning, formation of personal network, and family supports. From the above results, employees' university-graduate school experience may let them challenge new works with confidence and be analyzed as appearance of identity finding the work suitable for their aptitude and living a subjective life.

  • Objectives: This case study reports on the effects of Korean medicine on a corticobasal syndrome with apraxia. Methods: We used acupuncture, bee-venom, pharmaco-acupuncture and herbal medicine to treat a corticobasal syndrome patient during hospitalization for 32 days. We observed changes in the UPDRS score, hand movement by opening and closing of hands, the making of a tower with 10 blocks and writing. Results: The hand movement count was improved from 2 to 10. The time needed for making a tower with 10 blocks decreased from 68 to 50 sec, and the number of stroke when writing the Korean word '철' decreased. In addition, the UPDRS score was decreased after treatment from 27 to 24. Conclusion: This clinical case study suggests that Korean medicine treatment could be used in the treatment of corticobasal syndrome.

  • Objectives: This study considered the effectiveness of Korean medicine for the treatment of eyelid edema post craniotomy. Methods: The patient was diagnosed with Taeumin-one of the four constitution types in Korean medicine-and treated with herbal medicines: Cheongsimyeunja-tang, Chungpyesagan-tang, and Hwangryunhaedok-tang pharmacoacupuncture treatment. The severity of eyelid edema was assessed using Kara and Gokalan's scale, daily imaging of the patient's eyelids, and the ratio of the length of the left eye to that of the right. Results: Following treatment, the Kara and Gokalan score decreased from 3 to 0. The changes in the ratios were 29% and 50%, respectively. The visual field defect due to edema in the left eye was also repaired. Conclusion: This study suggests that Korean medical treatment could be an effective option for treating eyelid edema following craniotomy.
