Factors Related to the Perception of Digital Sex Crimes Among University Students of the MZ Generation in Korea (MZ세대 대학생의 디지털 성범죄 인식 관련 요인)

  • This is a descriptive research study to explore factors related to the perception of digital sex crimes among university students of the MZ generation in Korea. Data were collected by conducting a survey of 150 university students in Korea. As a result, the variable that showed the highest relevance to the recognition of digital sex crimes among MZ generation university students was sexual perception (β=-0.390, p<.001). Total explanatory power was 25.2% after adding gender (β=0.207, p=.018) and sexual attitude (β=0.157, p=.045). Our results suggest that customized education in consideration of factors related to digital sex crime perception is needed to form and improve a correct perception of digital sex crimes among MZ generation university students.

University Students' Perceptions for Preparation for Multicultural Society (다문화사회 준비를 위한 대학생들의 인식)

  • This study was attempted to examine our perceptions, which are required as our society prepares for a multicultural society, targeting college students who are in charge of the future of a multicultural society, and to propose specific ways of changing what and how. A survey was conducted on college students taking the same liberal arts course four times each semester in 2018 and 2019, and a total of 299 survey data were used to analyze the results, excluding 6 insufficient surveys. As a result of the analysis, it was found that migrants had a negative image when they were younger or had no foreign experience. Regarding the factors of cognition of migrants, social distancing and cognitive flexibility were found to be more intimate with migrants when they were older, but were more concerned about social issues. Finally, in terms of the conditions for accreditation of migrants to Koreans, it can be seen that social welfare majors agree with the conditions for recognizing migrants as Koreans in much more categories than those with mixed majors. Based on these results, several practical methods that can be applied to college students who need to prepare to lead a multicultural society were proposed.

An Exploratory Study of The Effect of Money Rush on Entrepreneurial Opportunity Recognition With Mediating of Entrepreneurship (머니러시, 앙트러프러너십과 창업기회인식에 관한 탐색적 연구: 부산경남지역 대학생들을 중심으로)

  • This study aims to investigate the Effect of Money Rush on Entrepreneurial Opportunity Recognition for college students in Busan and Gyeongnam area. We also examine whether Entrepreneurship has a mediating effect between Money Rush and Entrepreneurial Opportunity Recognition. Since the outbreak of COVID-19, digital transformation of the industry have greatly changed the world of work, and job insecurity is becoming more prevalent. As income inequality expands due to the disparity in asset income, the Money Rush phenomenon, which prefers to increase asset income through investment rather than earned income, is becoming common. Money Rush secures an income pipeline and is divided into side hustles and investments that actively utilize Leverage to maximize profits. The findings of this study confirm that Money Rush has a positive effect on Entrepreneurial Opportunity Recognition and a partially positive effect on Entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship has a partial mediating effect between Money Rush and Entrepreneurial Opportunity Recognition. The study analysis is expected to contribute to strengthening college students' competencies in Entrepreneurial Opportunity Recognition and presenting the policy and practical directions necessary to promote Start-up.

The opinions of health-unrelated department university students on medical personnel of dental hygienists (비보건계열 대학생의 치과위생사 의료인화에 대한 견해)

  • 비보건계열 대학생들을 대상으로 치과위생사 의료인화 정책에 대한 찬반의견을 조사하였다. 비보건계열 대학생들은 의료인, 의료기사의 구분에 대한 인식 수준, 치과위생사 업무에 대한 인식 수준이 낮았고, 40%의 응답자가 치과위생사 의료인화 정책에 찬성하였다. 치과위생사를 단순히 의료인으로 편입시키는 정책보다는 치과의료와 관련된 법률을 제정한다거나 치과위생사 직업의 단독법을 제정하는 등 국민구강건강을 향상시키는 데 바람직한 체계가 무엇인지 다양한 시각으로 모색할 필요가 있다.

A Study on Undergraduates' Citation Use and Plagiarism Awareness (대학생들의 인용 및 표절에 관한 인식연구)

  • The study investigated undergraduates' citation use and plagiarism awareness. A questionnaire method was used and was given to undergraduates in a university located in Seoul. Upon investigation, undergraduates recognized the importance and the need of citation and were partly applying citations. However, upon further investigation of undergraduates' citation learning with citation questions, very few of respondents had knowledge of correct citation usage. Undergraduates mostly cited print materials and information from the internet. They used books in case of print materials and web materials provided by academic institutions. They suggested that the university should teach citation usage through a citation and plagiarism awareness program. It is necessary for library use education (information literacy education) as well as university to teach citation education including citation type and how to write it.

A Study on University Students' Subjective Perception of Multicultural Society (대학생들의 다문화 사회에 대한 주관적 인식 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to stereotype the subjective perception of multicultural societies of university students and to identify the characteristics and differences by types. To this end, the Q methodology was utilized and 31 college students were selected. According to the analysis, there were four types of university students' perception on multicultural societies. Type 1 was an 'aggressive acceptance' which aggressively and positively embraces multicultures. Type 2 was a 'its national first priority', which put the Korean first before immigrants. Type 3 was 'reasonable acceptance' that accepts multiculturalism within the reasonable and legal bounds. Type 4 was 'limited permission' which agrees to accept immigrants restrictively. Based on the results of this study, thought-provoking ways needed to realize multicultural societies were explored.

The Perceptions of Non-scientific College Students about the Future Global Environment (미래의 지구 환경에 대한 비과학 전공 대학생들의 인식)

  • The recognition for future global environment was studied targeting the university students who will be grown as general public composing our society in this study. The rate recognizing as the complex space of natural objects and artifacts is very low for non-science majored university students. Also, the rate recognizing global environment change from now to the future as negative. The environment recognition should be changed as that the university students can imagine the human live together with the nature in the image of future global environment. The environment education find out and practice the method that human can co-exist together to the direction of co-exist with the nature. Also, the rate internalizing future global environment as the space the human amends for non-science majored university students. This result is interpreted as shown the point of view that the global environment can be improved by the human activity, and it suggests the direction of environment education the university should supply. The environment education direction should be converted from the eduction of environment or the eduction from environment to the education for environment. The opportunity for global environment education should be provided to all university students without the discrimination on the major in the university education course. Sustainable global environment eduction is necessary for our son and daughter live on the earth continuously.

Use and Perception of the Video Contents as Teaching Materials (교수학습 자료로서의 영상 콘텐츠 활용과 인식)

  • The education method using visual materials such as video contents is getting more attentions in the education field. This study researched how undergraduate students perceive the objective of education method utilizing video contents, what types of education using video contents they put a great importance on, and what kinds of correlations exist between the video contents method and the ability of discussing about a topic in essay-type examinations. With in-depth interviews with undergraduate students, the results showed that video contents was perceived as one of the attractive teaching methods increasing students' comprehension of lectures. Also, students evaluated that the video contents method could provide an opportunity to be exposed to the vivid scene of the journalistic environment and make them learn practical cases at second hand. Moreover, they perceived the video contents method as a very effective learning method improving their ability to discuss about a topic in essay-type exams.

Exploring Changes in College Students' Perceptions of Science and Scientists through a Documentary Focused on Their Daily Lives and Research (과학자들의 일상과 연구과정을 다룬 다큐멘터리를 통한 대학생들의 과학 및 과학자에 대한 인식변화 탐색)

  • In spite of a growing number of recent studies that indicate students are coming to view scientists with more varied images, the stereotypical image of scientists remains in many students' minds. In this study, the authors explore how college students change their perceptions of science and scientists through the use of a documentary that focuses on scientists' daily lives, including laboratory life, and their emotional ups-and-downs. We analyzed 109 college students' essays on perceptions about scientists after watching the documentary. As a result, 64.2% of the college students declared that there was a change in their perception of scientists. The students' new perceptions of science and scientists are as follows: 1) scientists undergo emotional ups-and-downs just like any normal person; 2) scientists experience numerous failures while researching; 3) science does not have a fixed answer and scientists undertake research with creativity; 4) scientists conduct research in collaboration, but also in highly competitive environments; 5) scientists are often frustrated with their socio-economic status. The students' previous perceptions on science and scientists were mainly stereotypical ones that have been reported in previous studies. In addition, of the other college students who did not change their perceptions, the majority declared that they have new perceptions such as 1) - 5). Only a small percentage of students (7.3%) had unchanged stereotypical perceptions. These results are interpreted as that college students relatively easily change their stereotypical images of scientists after watching the documentary but, alternatively, the results can be interpreted that the most stereotypical images of college students are not perceptions that form a deep impression, but rather they are simply depictions of representative images of scientists given from outside sources (e.g. the mass media and school).

  • This study was researched by practical method in a subjectivity study accessible in-depth, in sloughing off old habit of functional quantity analysis about acceptance effect of health public advertising. The perception pattern come out in this study were divided into three types in Q-methodology. The result is as follows ; it is that divided '1[(N=9) : Profit & truth type], 2[(N=9) : Profit & Sympathy type], 3[(N=7) : Profit & Prevent education type] '. Like this, it found that is very different type all over. Hereafter, this study is to ascertain acceptance behavior about reception type on acceptance effect of health public advertising ; to offer a developmental suggestion about it.
