  • The purpose of this study is to suggest change probability of vocational education and training and support of teaching-learning methods. For this study, we applied a flipped learning strategy of two learning modules in Convergence Technology Campus of public vocational education and training institute and had an operation class. As a result, student satisfaction of flipped learning is 4.0 on average. 56.1% of education-trainees were higher an engagement of flipped learning class than teacher-centered class and 56.1% of education-trainees were used more learning energy. Based on results, we suggested the necessity of pre-learning system for application of education and training teaching methods on the 4th industry occupation and strategies to enhance teaching and learning competency.

  • This study explored the development and utilization strategies based on the recognition of Massive Open Online Courses(MOOC) of students and professors who are the subjects of university teaching and learning. All members of the university recognized the basic concepts of MOOC as openness, sharing, and participation positively. In the understanding and recognition level of MOOC, undergraduate and graduate students were very low but professors were relatively high. They wanted the MOOC to develop courses in the humanities, natural sciences, social sciences, technology engineering and the arts and sciences, aiming at innovation in college curricula and diffusion of unique contents. The undergraduates wanted MOOC to be able to complete the liberal arts curriculum, basic learning in other areas and extra-curriculum and the graduate students who were lifelong learners wanted MOOC to be developed and utilized for strengthening lifelong education of local citizens. Professors who are providers of high quality education and lifelong learners wanted MOOC to be used for the deepening of their major courses in order to innovate the university education and to spread unique contents. The university should support the development of various MOOCs, establish the completion system, and provide advanced and high quality online education service.

  • To evaluate the educational programs at Science Education Center for the Gifted (SECG) on how it had influenced its graduates, we have surveyed the graduates with questionnaires categorized into four sections: scientific motivation, self-confidence, knowledge/inquiry activities, and peer-to-peer interactions. Of the graduates who studied at SECG for more than two years and are currently attending college, we questioned 26 students and interviewed 10 students. According to our research data, most students evaluated highly the quality of education they received at SECG; especially, in the areas of science knowledge/inquiry activities and social interactions with their peers. Based on the results from the interviews, for these gifted students with highly developed aptitude in science, we concluded that interactions with real-world scientists, investigative approach to and application of newly-learned scientific concepts, and emphasis on interactive activities with other gifted students at SECG were regarded as effective in promoting motivations towards science and self-confidence.

  • This studies were conducted to obtain the basic information for the influencial plant age and cultural altitude in change of hop cone yield in Hoeongseong, Korea. The fresh cone yields per 10a were increased by the increase of plant age showing 181.0 kg in 1-year-old, 516.0 kg in 2-year-old, 670.0 kg in 3-year-old, 726.4 kg in 4-year-old and 761.0 kg in 5-year-old. The productivity of fresh cone at each plant age was significantly different from 1 age to 3 age but the productivity over 4-year-old hop plant was not significantly different. In the average hop cone yields, yearly variation was significant, but the yields among the altitudes studied were not significantly different.

  • In this research, we analyzed the foundation infrastructure of college and the entrepreneurial abilities, attitudes and entrepreneurial intention of students. This aim is to provide differentiated entrepreneurial education methodology of colleges different from general universities. First, in order to grasp the entrepreneurial infrastructure of the college, we conducted an interview with the person in charge and evaluated it based on the criteria presented at the Foundation Promotion Agency. Secondly, we conducted a questionnaire survey for students of colleges and analyzed entrepreneurial ability, entrepreneurial attitudes, and entrepreneurial intentions. As a result, the following suggestions were derived. As colleges have a shorter period than general universities, it is impossible to prepare the same infrastructure with 4 year universities, so differentiated infrastructure standards should be presented. It is lower than the competence and attitude of the student's foundation. Therefore, in the course of education, we must seek methods that can increase the degree of establishment through comparative processes such as educational curriculum and founding circle, which are practical and not theoretical contents.

  • It was known that crude oil can be mainly divided into saturates, aromatics, resins, and asphaltenes. If microbial biodegradation of asphaltenes is effectively viable, additional oil production will be expected from depleted oil reservoir. Meanwhile, biodegradation can be applied to other aspects, such as the bioremediation of spilled oil. In this case, the biodegradation of asphaltenes also plays an important role. It has been already reported that asphaltenes are decomposed by bacterial consortia. However, the biodegradation mechanism of asphaltenes has not been clearly presented. The major reason is that the molecular structure of asphaltenes is complicated and is mainly in a aggregated form. In this paper, it was presumed that the biodegradation process of asphaltenes may follow the microbial oxidation mechanism of saturates and aromatics which are easier biodegradable than asphaltenes among the crude oil components. In other words, the biodegradation process was explained by serial stages; the contact between asphaltenes and bacteria in the presence of biosurfactants, and the decomposition of alkyl groups and fused-rings within the asphaltene structure.

  • While many scholars and practitioners have studied the effectiveness and utilization of CRM, studies and cases which apply CRM to university operation are not enough in Korea. Therefore, this study focuses on the theoretical background and efforts of university CRM program through a D University case. Also, this study investigates the components of CRM application framework and recommends the segmentation process which can help university officers find a relevant student required from a company.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze influencing factors on knowledge of contraception with University freshmen. The cross-sectional descriptive study design was used and we selected 139 University freshmen through randomize sampling. The method of study was frequency, chi-square test, pearson correlation, and hierarchial regression. The result of this study was as follows; General characteristics including sexual related characteristics were sexual education, sex, allowed money in order and there were correlation between sexual education and knowledge of contraception, allowed money and sexual education, and parents and major satisfaction. Therefore we suggest that 새 set up the right sexual culture, right information about sexual information to University freshmen and there are needed tailed sexual education program should be established with sex and allowed money.

  • The present study surveyed 750 graduate and undergraduate students who were living or not living in Gangwon province concerning the characteristics of disasters in Gangwon province, people's consciousness of disaster prevention, etc. According to the results of analysis, all the respondents thought that the possibility of disasters is higher in Gangwon province(74.0%) than in any other province. Compared to non-residents, Gangwon province residents tended to perceive that the possibility of storm and flood disasters and forest fires is high in Gangwon province. As to reasons for frequent disasters in Gangwon province, the respondents mentioned disadvantageous natural conditions, the shortage of disaster prevention facilities and local residents' low consciousness of disaster prevention. As to methods for enhancing people's consciousness of disaster prevention in Gangwon province, they considered essential the expansion of disaster prevention facilities and education on disaster prevention. In particular, 62.1% of the respondents did not have experiences in disaster education. This suggests the necessity for extending disaster education.
