The purpose of this study was to investigate the antioxidant and hangover cure effects of compound prescription containing Phyllanthus emblica and Azadirachta Indica leaf extract (CP). In vitro experiments, HepG2 cells were induced oxidative stress by hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and treated with CP at 50, 100, 200 ㎍/㎖ concentration. Antioxidant enzyme (superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalse (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GPx), glutathione reductase (GR) activity and glutathione (GSH) content were decreased by hydrogen peroxide-induced oxidative stress, but CP was increased that. In vivo experiments, experiment rats were orally administered alcohol 3 g/kg and, after 30 min administered CP 200 mg/kg. After 1 and 3 h of alcohol administration, blood was collected from the tail vein, while after 5 h, blood was collected from the heart. CP modulates alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) and acetaldehyde level, thereby decreased alcohol level in serum. Also, CP decreased the levels of aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alkaline phosphatase (ALP). These results suggest that CP has antioxidant effects and alleviates alcohol hangover symptoms.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of natural herb mixture containing Laminaria japonica Areschoung (LAM) on fine dust-induced bronchitis in mice. Laminaria japonica Areschoung is main content of LAM, which is including fucoidan. Fucoidan extracted from phaophyta is known to prevent bronchitis and to defend against bacteria and virus infection. In this study, we experienced the effect of LAM on bronchitis and investigated gene expressions (e.g ; IL-8, COX-2, MCP-1) and bio-markers (e.g ; IL-8, PGE2, MUC5AC) associated with bronchitis by using A549 cells. Also, we investigated whether LAM can suppress the bronchitis in fine dust-induced animal models. We injected fine dust (50 ㎕) twice as INT (Intra-Nasal-Trachea) method. Then LAM (200 mg/kg and 400 mg/kg) were oral administered for 14 days. We analyzed the number of immune cells, immunoglobulin E, bio-markers level associated with bronchitis. LAM significantly decreased bio-marker (IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8, TNF-α, Histamine, PGE2), immune cells (white blood cell, neutrophil, lymphocyte, monocyte), and immunoglobulin E, that are increased by fine dust. Taken together, this study suggest that LAM can be used as effective herbal extract for bronchitis.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to examine strategies for improving the school doctor of Korean medicine (SDKM) program through an analysis of the sex education case in the medical vulnerable area. Methods : Sex education was conducted by one SDKM in three elementary schools in Wando county. The contents of sex education focused on the characteristics of puberty and the prevention of sexual violence. The survey conducted on sex-related knowledge, desirable perception of sex, and satisfaction with education before and after the sessions. Results : A total of 316 students participated in the education. A survey was conducted with 130 participants, and all 130 responded to the pre-survey. In the post-survey, 113 participants responded. After education, the sexual knowledge score of students increased from 4.04±1.87 points to 5.02±1.79 points, and the average satisfaction score was 4.14±1.05. Conclusions : Sex education for students in the medical vulnerable area is an effective education that increases sex-related knowledge, positively changes sexual perception, and has high satisfaction. To improving SDKM program, development of a standardized education program and administrative support is necessary.

As the aging society continues in recent years, interest in dementia is increasing. Among them, Alzheimer's disease is a degenerative brain disease that accounts for the largest percentage of all dementia patients, with the medical community currently not offering clear prevention and treatment for Alzheimer's disease, and the importance of early treatment and early prevention is emphasized. In this paper, we intend to find the most efficient activation function by combining various activation functions centering on convolutional neural networks using MRI datasets of normal people and patients with Alzheimer's disease. In addition, it is intended to be used as a dementia classification modeling suitable for the medical field in the future through Alzheimer's dementia classification modeling.

삼면이 바다로 둘러 싸인 우리 나라에서 해양 개발 이용에 관심은 1960년대에 싹 트기 시작하여 기존 해양 조사 연구기관인 수산진흥원 및 수로곡이 주축이 되어, 한국 해양 과학 위원회 의 창립 쿠로시오 국제 공동 조사의 (1965∼1969)의 참가 그리고 서 울대학교 해양 학과의 탄생 등 대전환 기를 맞아 급속도로 발전 하였다. 1970년대에 해양 연구소가 발족되고 지금은 해양 전공학과가 십여개 과로 늘어나 해양 전문 고급 인력의 양성도 비약적으로 증가하였다. 한편 정부는 1989년에 해양 개발 기본 법을 제정하는 등 해양 개발에 박차를 가하는 등 큰 관심을 쏟고 있다. 그러나 해양 조사 연구에 대한 국가적인 투자 확대에서 불구하고 해양개발 이용을 위한 해양학 써비스 업무는 별로 향상되지 못하고 있으며, 국내 각 기관간의 상호 협력도 제대로 이루저지 지 못하고 있으며, 또 해양전문인력의 양성의 의의조차 정립하지 못하고 있는 것이 현 실이다. 이러한 시점에서 보다 효과적인 해양학 써비스 체제를 확립하기 위해 해양조 사연구의 현황을 분석하고 앞으로의 과제를 제시하는 것이 매우 큰 의의를 갖는다고 사료하는 바이다.

The recent introduction of the systems biology or systems medicine opens a new horizon in the field of traditional oriental medicine research. Until now many recent researches of traditional medicine have been conducted based upon reductionist approach, but traditional medicine should be treated by a holistic approach. In this short review, I outlined usefulness of systems approach in medicine and proposed a potential application area of traditional medicine research.

1946년 가을에 서울대학교에 조선공학교육의 program이 설정되어 이 땅에 조선공학의 씨를 뿌린지 4반세기가 지나갔다. 서울 대학교에 이어 수개 대학에 조선공학과가 설치되었으며 한국에 있어서의 타 공학분야도 동일하지만 각 대학은 교육운영에 투자가 거의 이루어지지 않은 극한상태에서 점진적으로 성장하여 왔다. 돌이켜 보건데 이들 대학은 전세대적인 리벳선의 수리능력밖에 보유하지 못하였던 우리의 조선기술을 60년대의 조선공업의 비약기를 거쳐 중소형선박의 설계, 건조를 우리의 손으로 훌륭하게 이룰 수 있는 데 까지 성장시키는데 크게 공헌하였다. 정부는 1985년에 조선수출 제1위의 조선국을 목표로 대형조선소의 건설을 계획하고 있다. 상술한 중소형선박의 설계 및 건조에 있어서의 교육 및 연구의 방향이 대전환을 하여야 할 시점에 처하였으며, 정부계획을 달성하는데 있어서 대학교육부문에 있어서의 문제점은 매우 크다.

Objectives The purpose of this case is to report the effectiveness of oriental medicine in Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) in children who have sleep disorder. Methods A 6-year-old male patient, who was suffering from RLS, was treated by acupuncture, moxibustion and myofascial release. Results Treated with oriental medicine, the patient's RLS symptoms and sleep disorder were significantly improved. And the patient maintains his condition for 8 months. Conclusions This study shows that oriental medical treatments are effective on RLS, but further clinical studies are necessary.

포스트 코로나시대에는 다가올 디지털 인프라 사회에서의 스마트시티에서 안전하고 편리한 사이버 경제활동을 구현하기 위해서는 특히 비대면 디지털 환경에서 바이오인식기술의 중요성은 증대될 것으로 전망된다. 이에 따라 바이오인식 관련 국제표준화기구인 ISO/IEC JTC1 SC37(Biometrics)/SC27(Security)과 ITU-T SG17 Q10(ID Management & Telebiometrics) 등 바이오인식기술 국제 표준화 동향과 아시아바이오인식협의회(Asian Biometric Consoritum) 사실 표준화 현황을 면밀히 분석하여, 모바일기기·웨어러블 디바이스 응용분야, 디지털 헬스케어분야, 자율주행 응용분야, 국제공통·국가공용 ID카드분야, 동물보호 공학분야 등 미래의 스마트시티에서 활용될 바이오인식기술에 대한 전망과 함께 관련되는 국제표준에 대한 주요내용과 적용분야를 제안하고자 한다. 이를 통하여 향후 디지털 사회로의 대전환 시대가 도래함에 따른 생체인식기술을 적용한 스마트시티의 발전전망을 고찰하고자 한다.
