A Qualitative Study on the Exploration of the Constructs of the Characteristics of At-Risk Learners in the Blind Spots of Education (일반교사가 지각하는 교육사각지대 학습자 특성의 구성개념 탐색 - CQR-M을 중심으로 -)

  • This study aimed to explore the constructs of the characteristics of at-risk learners with diverse educational needs in the blind spots of education, in order to understand them comprehensively and detect them early in schools. Participants were 156 elementary, middle, and high school teachers who filled out a semi-structured questionnaire consisting of open questions about their implicit knowledge of the characteristics of at-risk learners in the blind spots of education. Qualitative data were analyzed using a modified consensual qualitative research method. The main findings of this study are as follows. First, five domains and 16 categories were derived as the main constructs of the characteristics of learners in the blind spots of education. Second, the most listed of the five domains was the "domain of low learning and cognition," whereas the least listed domain was the "everyday life domain." Finally, deficiencies of interpersonal skills and interactive communications and categories related to family structure and functions frequently appeared among the 16 categories. Based on these results, implications and potentials for follow-up studies were further discussed.

A Study on Moral Systems of Aristotle and Kang Jeungsan: Focusing on the Nature of Virtue and Teleological Characteristics (아리스토텔레스와 강증산(姜甑山) 성사(聖師)의 덕(德)이론 고찰 -덕의 속성 및 목적성과 관련하여-)

  • The most common and prevailing system of virtue ethics is based around the idea of personality rather than external behavior and it grew out of the Aristotelian system of virtue ethics. The purpose of this study is to find out the characteristics of the virtue ethics found within Daesoon Thought through comparison to Aristotelian virtue ethics. This can serve as a basis to establish the virtue ethics of Daesoon Thought in further studies. The systems of virtue ethics posited by the two traditions are similar in that they are both teleological as the virtues they recognize are related to human nature in the context of certain metaphysical assumption and they both exhibit the characteristic tendencies of seeking to realize the highest human good. Therefore, in the Aristotelian context, virtues can be defined as "characteristics needed for the realization of eudaimonia," and for Daesoon Thought, virtues are "characteristics needed for the realization of the Resolution of Grievances for Mutual Beneficence." The representative virtues examined in this comparative study will be the Aristotelian Golden Mean, and the the concepts of guarding against self-deception and great benevolence and great justice in Daesoon Thought. In comparison to Aristotelian virtues, these differ in three main ways. First, Aristotelian virtue is not an innate aspect of character the way it is assumed to be in Daesoon Thought wherein the original human heart bestowed by Heaven is already virtuous. Second, mental virtue in the Aristotelian context centers the mind upon reason whereas in Daesoon Thought, the heart-mind exhibits both reason and emotional concern for others. Third, eudaimonia is a concept limited to humans and their societies whereas the Resolution of Grievances for Mutual Beneficence is a good that includes all beings including divine beings, animals, plants, and Heaven and Earth. Despite the differences, both require practical reason, continuous education, and effort to succeed in the cultivation of virtues and the proper implementation of virtuous living.

The Effects of Self-Differentiation and Ego-Resilience on Service Maladjustment Behaviors of Social Service Agent (사회복무요원의 자아분화와 자아탄력성이 복무 부적응행동에 미치는 영향)

  • The objective of this study was to determine the effects of self-differentiation and ego-resilience on service maladjustment behaviors of Social Service Agent. To achieve this, we chose these research questions. To verify these research questions, data were collected by distributing 470 questionnaires to Social Service Agent serving in service organizations located in Seoul. Four hundred twenty-seven surveys were used for statistical analysis. The results of this study are as follows: First, Social Service Agents were shown to generally adjust well to service, as self-differentiation and ego-resilience were slightly higher than the median, while service maladjustment behavior was slightly lower than the median. Second, when the effects of sociodemographic characteristics, self-differentiation and ego-resilience on service maladjustment behavior were studied, all values of sociodemographic characteristics, self-differentiation and ego-resilience affected all lower factors of service maladjustment behavior with significance. For social withdrawal, the effectiveness of interpersonal relations, optimistic attitude, and the degree of family regression had a negative correlation, and emotional divorce, education level, and term of service had a positive correlation. The degree of family regression, anger management, and cognitive function vs. emotional function had a negative correlation with hyperactivity while self unity had a positive one. Family regression, cognitive function vs. emotional function, anger management, and family's economic level negatively correlated with aggression. Family regression, optimistic attitude, cognitive function vs. emotional function, family's economic level and term of service had a negative correlation with obsession and compulsion.

  • The poetry of Haseo Jo Gyeong is first characterized by its fantasy content with mysterious and strange beings such as mountain wizards, gods of flowers, ghosts, Jujos and dragons. Such works imply the huge gap between his political ideal of Neo-Confucianism and the reality of society and are expressions of his resulting sorrow. Of course, he did not just look at reality pessimistically. Like other Neo-Confucianism scholars, he used the symbol of "spring" in his poems, which indicates that he did have optimistic belief in the world in spite of despair. In his poems, the symbol of "spring" implies the political world where the noble man grabbed the power and the sinister groups were extracted or the world where the political ethics of Neo-Confucianism was implemented. His works depicting the essence of natural objects, mountains, and rivers exhibit the characteristics of his poetry more clearly. He described the law of the universe behind natural objects and the vibrant aspects of natural objects by depicting their movements in a clear and sharp manner. Unlike the old Neo-Confucianism scholars that often created poems on the topic of acquirement of natural law and nature, he expanded his poetic world in a direction of revealing the secrets of objects. His works describing the spirit of mountains and rivers are especially noteworthy in that they implied a life attitude of moving forward in an deteriorating world bravely by manifesting strong and dynamic power. Paying attention to the secrets of natural objects, Haseo displayed his life ideal in richer ways by painting the new forms of ume flowers. Unlike the old ume flowers poems in the past, his ume flowers poems present ume flowers as ascetics that obtained truth, men of virtue that inspired contemporary people, or retired gentlemen that revealed the profound secrets of nature. While it is unique that he manifested the forms of ume flowers in ascetics and men of virtue while perceiving the dark reality of society, it is more noteworthy that he described ume flowers as the beings revealing the profound secrets of nature. It was the expression of his yearning for an innocent personality and his fear for losing the personality, clearly depicting a human form of his ego. He created a more human and realistic personality ideal by embracing the contemporary thinking based on the profound secrets of nature in his Dohak poetry[道學詩], which is a significant achievement in that it showed new changes to Dohak poetry in the 18th century.

A Study of Assessment Techniques of Water Quality Using Remotely Sensed Data (원격탐사 자료에 의한 수질평가기법에 관한 연구)

  • 산업화와 더불어 심각해지고 있는 수질오염 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 여러 가지 수질관리 방안이 요구된다. 수질오염이 과거에는 국지적이었으나 점차 광범한 지역으로 확장됨에 다라 지속적인 수질 모니터링에 어려움이 따른다. 본 연구에서는 위성영상을 사용한 원격탐사 기법으로 수역의 수질환경 인자를 추출하고자 한다. 사용된 영상은 Landasat TM이며, 연구지역은 한강하류 지역이다. 수질분석 인자는 클로로필-a, 부유물질, 투명도 등을 선정하였으며, 수면분광반사율의 특징 및 수질인자별 처리기법을 개발하는데 목적을 두었다. 분광특성 분석결과를 요약하면, 첫 번째 스펙트럼 반사율 분석결과 클로로필-a의 농도는 0.4~0.5$\mu\textrm{m}$ 파장대역에서 낮은 반사치 경향을 보이며, 녹색파장대인 0.57$\mu\textrm{m}$ 부근에서 반사율이 높아진다. 두 번째 부유물질의 반사도는 농도가 증가할수록 0.8$\mu\textrm{m}$ 부근에서 상대적으로 낮은 반사율이 나타난다. 마지막으로 투명도가 낮은 수면은 0.55$\mu\textrm{m}$에서 높은 반사율 경향을 보인다. Landsat TM영상을 이용하여 주성분분석 및 비연산처리를 실시하여 수질분석을 시도한 결과를 보면 클로로필-a와 투명도는 제1주성분 영상 및 제2주성분 영상에서 현장 실측자료와 유사한 결과를 얻을 수 있었으며, 부유물질은 밴드 2와 밴드 4의 비연산처리를 통하여 분포도를 작성할 수 있었다. 이상의 결과들은 계절적 및 시간적 변화에 따라 파장대역이 달라질 수 있다. 그러므로 위성자료를 이용하여 보다 정확한 수질환경 인자를 추출하기 위해서는 현장실측 및 수역의 분광반사 특성을 지속적으로 조사하여야 한다.때문으로 경주 산사태와 포함-구릉포간 국도면의 산사태가 이 종류의 산사태에 속한다.열 인식의 신뢰도를 향상시킬수 있는 방법을 제안하였다.작성하여 최신 의료영상 처리 기법을 쉽게 임상에 적용하고 실험할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 지대에서 가능하였고, 파종기는 중생종보다 이르게 나타났다. 등숙만한출수기 기준의 안전작기는 조생종과 중생종은 태백고냉지대와 태백준고냉지대, 소백산간지대 일부지역을 제외한 다른 지역에서 설정되었고, 중만생종은 태백고냉지대, 태백준고냉지대, 동해안북부지대, 소백산간지대, 노령소백산간지대의 일부 지역은 벼 담수직파가 불가능하게 판단되었다. information on the regular basis of time and provide it when the users query over the Web-database gateway.   • Attention-deficit/Hyperactivity disorder(ADHD) is the most common psychiatric disorder of childhood and among the most prevalent chronic health conditions affecting school-aged children. Children with ADHD experience significant functional problems, such as school difficulties, academic underachievement, troublesome interpersonal relationships with family members and peers, and low self-esteem. The most widely used pharmacological treatments for ADHD are psychostimulants, such as methylphenidate and amphetamine salts. These medications provide clinical efficacy by increasing the availability of catecholamines, primarily dopamine, in the frontal lobe of the brain. immediate-release(IR) formulations of sychostimulants were among the most effective psychotrophic medications in the psychopharmacological treatment. However, there are some limitations of IR formulations:the short half-life and duration of efficacy, which result in the need for multiple daily dosing and the poor compliance. These limitations have led to the development of once-daily, extended-release(ER) formulations of methylphenidate and amphetamine salts. However, these ER formulations may not be as immediately helpful to ADHD children due to delayed onset of action and the acute tolerance which is the failure to sustain the efficacy with the same concentration of drug as the initial stage of medication. OROS-methylphenidate(Concerta$^{\circledR}$) given once a day produces an ascending-pattern plasma drug level generated by the osmotically released, timed drug-delivery system. These new formulations of the psychostimulants have been shown to be a useful alternative to old stimulant medications through the evidence by the clinical trials.

  • This study is to notify differences of PITR reaction groups classified by industrial accident. This study aims to know reaction of stress, preparation plan, and psychological resources on industrial accident workers. The research was performed as below: First, Measuring and descriptive statistical analysis were performed. twenty workers who were hospitalized by industrial accidents and twenty patients who were hospitalized by common accidents. Data were collected from March to October in 2013. Then There were classified Two groups following subjects; 'industrial accident' and 'common accident'. Second, Questionaries assessing demographic and PITR(Person-In-The-Rain) by Heidi S. Lack. Third, statistical analysis was done by SPSS for Window 18.0. To Verify the reliability of the measures and correlations between two groups, and to find out the difference of the reaction of 'stress', 'preparation plan', and 'psychological resource', were used frequency analysis and T-test. The results of this is significant personality types of industrial accident are followings; Industrial accident workers' felt more stressful, less self esteem, and less psychological resource than common accident patients.

  • Danggol, in other words the hereditary shaman, is a person who is performing the Gut(the Korean shamanistic ritual) as the job but fortuneteller simply tells someone's fortunes. Nowadays most of fortunetellers think their works are wholly managed the Gut as the holy jobs. But Generally this kinds of jobs, we think it is lower than ordinary people's level of education in the korea. Actually we can meet eleven fortunetellers who have a college diploma out of them, so we can know that their education's level is increasing gradually. On the other hand a house of fortunetellers is the place where can lead the way of our lives in the method of seeing one's past life or making predictions of someone's coming events etc. Gradually this place seems to be separated with a private home, so the most of them is managing as the monthly rent. Consequently this houses are heavily located at the Gyerim five-way crossing, the Yang-dong Dakjeonmeory street, Jungheung-dong local culture street area. Each fortunetellers have the different ways of fortune-telling because this methods are decided by their one's characters. So their fortune-telling time and its time required for a task is far different. The methods of telling it is very much different in accordance with the learning fortuneteller or spiritualistic fortuneteller. But the process of fortune-telling is common like as a preparatory stage, carrying a Jumsa(fortune-telling) stage and acting by a Jumsa stage. These steps are sequential but linked together. There are six special features of fortune-telling culture in Gwang-Ju. 1. The role of a fortuneteller and Bosal(spirit-descended shaman) runs at the same time. 2. The house of fortune-telling is doing Gutdang(ritual house)'s works. 3. Its location are heavily collectivized at the specific districts. 4. The learning fortuneteller are increasing gradually. 5. The youth are growing use in the fortune-telling house. 6. There are many person that are visiting this house because of individual problems not their family's problems.

Effects of Social Exclusion on Displaced Aggression: the Mediatingon Effect of Stress and Conditional Direct Effect of Social Support (사회적 배제가 전위된 공격성에 미치는 영향: 스트레스의 매개효과 및 사회적지지의 조건부 직접효과)

  • This study focused on the characteristics of motiveless crimes that mainly originated from interpersonal problems and were acts of revenge against innocent third parties. This study confirmed the relationship between the experience of social exclusion and displaced aggression and examined the relationship between the two variables. We sought to confirm the role of related factors such as stress and social support. For this purpose, we established and tested hypotheses about the mediatingon effect of stress and the moderated mediatingon effect of social support on the effect of social exclusion experience on displaced aggression among 353 adult males aged between 19 and 49 years. The main results are that, first, social exclusion had a positive effect on displaced aggression. Second, stress was found to partially mediate the relationship between social exclusion and displaced aggression. Third, the hypothesis that social support would moderate the mediating effect of stress was not provedvaild, but the conditional direct effect of social support was confirmed in the mediation model. In other words, social support did not affect the indirect effect mediated by stress, but appeared to moderate the direct effect between social exclusion and displaced aggression. Social exclusion's prediction of displaced aggression was significant only in the average social support group (mean) and the high group (M+1SD), and appeared to increase as the group increased. This means that in groups with high social support, displaced aggression is used as a stress control strategy, which is a different result from previous studies that found that social support plays a role in lowerings aggression. People with low levels of social support showed unexpected results in that they used displaced aggression less frequently despite their experiencinge of social exclusion. In the discussion, the social implications of these results were interpreted, and additional research ideas were proposed to specify the relationship between social exclusion and displaced aggression.

Confucian View of Self-realization and Context of Life: With a focus on Viewpoint of Confucius and Mencius (유교의 자아실현과 삶의 맥락 - 공자와 맹자의 시선을 중심으로 -)

  • The aim of this research was to examine the traditional Confucian view of self-realization in East Asia and the meaning of life implied therein. The researcher closely reviewed the phase of self-realization of both Confucius and Mencius who are central in Confucianism, especially in the primordial Confucianism, and after investigating maturity of personality as well as educational characteristics thereof, the researcher tried to elicit its modern significance. In Analects, Confucius who is the founder of Confucianism mentioned about 'the pleasure of studying and practicing what he has learned'(學而時習 "Hagisiseup" in Korean), since after, his past was then just the process of self-realization that lasted throughout life. That is, the six phases of self-realization, to wit, 'bending on learning(志學, "Jihak")-'standing firm'(而立, "Irip")-'having no doubts'(不惑, "Bulhok")-'knowing the decrees of Heaven'(知天命, "Jicheonmyeong")-'ear being obedient organ for the reception of truth' (耳順, "Isun")-'able to follow what my heart desires without transgressing what is right'(從心, "Jongsim"), are lying hidden and undeveloped during lifetime, and, at the same time, these phases illustrate the state of enlightenment of life in an in-depth manner. By showing the process of living which is being sublimated in respect of quality, and by going through important process of self-innovation up to six times during lifetime, Confucius edifies us the activity of complete self-realization as well as the importance of education and learning. Meanwhile, these are connected to Mencius in a similar pattern, and strong influence of the characteristics of the learning of the mind and heart( 心學, "Simhak") based on his philosophy permeates the self-actualization phase of Mencius. Mencius' self-actualization phase is expressed in terms of six stages, viz., Person of Goodness(善人, "Seonin")-Trustworthy Person(信人, "Sinin")-Person of Beauty(美人, "Miin")-Great Person(大人, "Daein")-Sage(聖人, "Seongin")-Divine Person(神人, "Sinin"), and these six phases of self-actualization process are educational and learning model for people who dream actualization of perfect personality during their lifetime. Confucian and Mencian view of self-realization congruent with self-discipline internally, and it also reveals a stereotype of human externally. These are a process of performing organic ideals in order for cultivating oneself and regulating others(修己治人, pronounced 'sugichiin' in Korean) which has been pursued by Confucianism. Briefly, these self-realization phases are the arts of living that will lay foundation for "Being Born Human, pronounced Saramim' in Korean" and for becoming "Fully Human, 'Sarmadoem'" and finally for "Human Feelingness, 'Saramdaum'
