Effect of Qualiy of friendship on smartphone overdependence among women high school students (여자 고등학생들의 대인관계의 질이 스마트 폰 과의존에 미치는 영향)

  • Friendships play a very important role during high school. However, unstable friendship quality can induce negative problems such as psycho-emotional problems. This problem can be highlighted based on the characteristics of high school girls who consider the psycho-emotional aspects of friendships more than men do. This study was aimed to analyze the effect of level of quality of friendship on the level of smartphone overdependence of female high school students. Study subjects were 51 female high school students attending the W high school in J city. The assessment of quality of friendship was used by Korean ver. of Friendship Quality Questionnaire. The quality of friendship is 21 items, and the higher the score on a 5-point scale, the higher the quality of friendship. The assessment of smartphone overdependence was used by Smartphone Overdependence Scale. Smartphone overdependence has 10 questions, and a high score on a 4-point scale means a high level of smartphone overdependence. As the results, the negative effect (-) of the level of the quality of friendship on the level of smartphone overdependence. These results indicated that if the level of quality of friendship increase, the level of smrtphone overdependence decrease. Thus, in the process of educational and practical approach for the female high school student, these results should be considered and the approach to improve the quality of friendship should be needed. In follow-up studies, it is necessary to expand the range of subjects and compare and analyze them with various subject groups. In-depth analysis studies should be conducted considering various variables that can affect the relationship between smartphone overdependence and the quality of friend relationships.

Mediating Effect of Interpersonal Competence on the Relation between Attachment with Parents and Psychological Well-Being of College Students (부모와의 애착이 대학생의 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향에서 대인관계유능성의 매개효과)

  • This study investigated the effect of parental attachment on interpersonal competence and psychological well-being of college students. 625 college students completed self-administered questionnaires. Reliability test, ANOVA, Duncan ex-post analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis on data were used. Study results showed that parental attachement and interpersonal competence had significant effects on college students' psychological well-being. Results also depicted gender differences in the relationship of study variables; students' interpersonal competence demonstrated partial mediation effect in the relation of attachment with the same-sex parent and psychological well-being, while complete mediation effect in that of attachment with the opposite-sex parent and psychological well-being, These findings suggest that gender-conscious university policies to promote interpersonal competence among students are greatly needed to ensure psychological well-being of the student population.

The Mediation Effect of the Interpersonal Relationship Between Attachment and Ambivalence emotion of Emotional Workers (감정노동자의 애착과 정서표현 양가성 관계에서 대인관계문제의 매개효과)

  • We identified the mediating role of interpersonal issues in the relationship between adult attachment type and emotional expression ambivalence. The subjects of the study were 327 emotional workers who lived in five cities. As the scale, ECR-R, AEQ-K, and IIP were used. Sobel verification was performed after multiple regression analysis. The results show that the interpersonal problem partially mediates between the attachment and emotional expression ambivalence. This suggests that the characteristics of interpersonal relationships affect emotional emotions in forming close attachment relationships of emotional workers. Subsequent research will expand the scope of research by supplementing the shortcomings of existing research.

Relationship between Interpersonal Relationship Ability, Interpersonal Relationship Satisfaction, Stress and Department Satisfaction of Dental Hygiene Students (일부 치위생과 학생들의 대인관계 능력, 대인관계 만족도 및 스트레스와 학과만족도와의 관련성)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify dental hygiene students' interpersonal relationship ability, interpersonal relationship satisfaction, stress levels and to develop positive measures for adapting to university life through the investigation of their relevance to the departmental satisfaction. It was conducted by using the convenience sampling of students enrolled in the dental hygiene department and a self-reported survey. Collected data were analyzing by using SPSS Statistics version 22.0 program (p=0.05). The correlations among their interpersonal relationship ability, interpersonal relationship satisfaction, stress and department satisfaction were examined to show that interpersonal relationship ability have a positive correlation with department satisfaction, while stress has a negative correlation with the latter. Both department intelligibility and interpersonal relationship ability, as factors influencing their department satisfaction, have positive effects on department satisfaction, indicating that the factors influencing that the factors influencing dental hygiene students' department satisfaction are interpersonal relationship ability and department intelligibility. Although this study is limited to generalization by conducting research on some dental hygiene students, it is deemed necessary to develop and apply interpersonal relationship ability and department-related information programs as a way to increase department satisfaction.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a tea culture therapy program development for the improvement of interpersonal relationship of juvenile probationers, which is a key factor of social adaptability of juvenile probationers. After developing a tea culture therapy program, this study examines the effect of the program empirically, by applying to juvenile probationers. For this purpose, this study employs an integrative approach of qualitative and quantitative methods. It is shown from the qualitative analysis that juvenile probationers' positive attitude, active participation, seriousness in interpersonal relationship, anger management, and sympathy are considerably progressed. The results from qualitative analysis indicate that the sub-dimensions of interpersonal relationship such as satisfaction, communications, trust for others, affinity, sensitivity, openness, and understandability are significantly improved.

A Study of Factors Influencing on Single Female Nurses' Hope: Focusing on Interpersonal Relations and Professional Self-concept (미혼여성 간호사의 희망감에 영향을 미치는 요인 : 대인관계와 전문직 자아개념을 중심으로)

  • This study was done to examine interpersonal relations, professional self-concept and hope in single female nurses. A survey using a structured questionnaire was conducted with 219 nurses who work in one of six general hospitals in the large cities. The data were collected from August 17, 2012 to September 14, 2012. Collected data were analyzed using t-test, One way ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation Coefficient, Hierarchical Regression Analysis with using SPSS Windows 25.0. There was a significant difference in interpersonal relations, professional self-concept and hope according to participants' characteristics. Participants' interpersonal relations, professional self-concept and hope were all found to have statistically significant correlations (r=.26-.45, p<.001). Participants' general characteristics, interpersonal relations, and professional self-concept explained 26.4% of variance in hope levels. Findings from this study should be useful in the development of programs to promote participants' hope with interpersonal relations and professional self-concept.

Effects of Depression Scale, Interaction Anxiety and School Adjustment on Cellular Phone Addiction of Teenagers (청소년의 우울, 대인불안, 학교적응이 휴대전화 중독에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the predictors of students depress, Interaction anxiety, school adjustment on cellular phone addiction of teenagers. The subjects for this study were 613 teenagers composed of 249 middle school students, 337 high school students in Daejeon. The data was conducted by using a correlations coefficient and the multiple regression analysis. According to the analysis result, correlations among measured variables of students depress, interaction anxiety, school adjustment, cellular phone addiction were significant. Secondly, the multiple regression analysis result showed that students depress, peer relations, and interaction anxiety variables to most greatly explain cellular phone addiction. These results indicate that cellular phone addiction related to depress, interaction anxiety of teenagers.

The Effect of School Stress on Interpersonal Problems in Adolescent : The Moderating Effect of Anger Expression Styles (학교스트레스가 청소년들의 대인관계문제에 미치는 영향 : 분노표현양식의 조절효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the moderating effect of anger expression styles on the relationship between school stress and interpersonal problem in adolescent. A total 300 students of middle and high school located in Chungcheongbuk-do completed the questionnaires to assess school stress, anger expression styles, and interpersonal problem during September to October, 2015 and 261 data were used in this report. Using multiple and hierarchical regression analysis, the results indicated that school stress, anger-in and anger-out significantly contributed to interpersonal problem. The interaction effect of school stress and anger expression styles were not significant. But anger-out significantly moderated the impact of school stress on domineering/controlling of interpersonal problem. These findings suggest that the intervention for preventing and relieving interpersonal problem in adolescent should focus on reducing school stress and maladaptive anger expression. Limitations and futre directions were discussed.

Structural Relations of Interpersonal Relationships, Life Satisfaction and Depression among People Living Alone (일인가구의 대인관계와 삶의 만족 및 우울의 구조적 관계)

  • To form a foundation of basic materials to contribute in improved mental health of one-person households, the purpose of this study is to investigate the association of interpersonal relationships and depression and to identify indirect effect of satisfaction with life. To this end, the study used structural equation modeling, employing data from the 2012 Korean General Social Survey(KGSS), a nationally representative survey and targeted 300 living alone people who is older than 20 years old. The findings are as follows: First, the quality of interpersonal relationships has a negative effect on depression and can relieve depression. It also revealed that one-person households are not isolated from relationships and they utilize not only kin relational resources but non-kin resources while forming a positive relationships. Second, the quality of interpersonal relationships effects one's life satisfaction which ultimately has an effect on depression. It verifies that, within interpersonal relationship and depression, there are indirect effect resulting from satisfaction with life. Based on the result of current study, practical intervention programs to improve life satisfaction and prevent depression were suggested.

Ego resilience, Empathic Ability and Interpersonal relationship ability in Nursing Students (간호대학생의 자아탄력성, 공감능력과 대인관계능력)

  • This study examines the relationships among ego resilience, empathic ability, and interpersonal relationship ability in nursing students. Data were collected through a self-reported questionnaire from November 2 to December 11, 2015. The subjects consisted of 299 nursing students who were selected using a convenience sampling method. Stepwise multiple regression revealed that ego resilience (${\beta}=.488$, p<.001) and empathic ability (${\beta}=.378$, p<.001) were significant predictors and accounted for 47.2% of interpersonal relationship ability. It is meaningful that ego resilience affects interpersonal relationship ability. Therefore, ego resilience and empathic ability need to be increased by efficient management and intervention to facilitate interpersonal relationship ability in nursing students.
