다품목단일입찰경매의 최적경매설계와 전체낙찰자기대이익 (Optimal Auction Design and All the Winners' Expected Profit in the Multiple Unit Auction)

  • This paper is concerned with the multiple unit auction under the following assumptions: 1) multiple identical objects are to be sold to the highest bidders, but a bidder may obtain at most one, 2) each bidder has a fixed reservation value and draws his reservation value independently in the same distribution, 3) The greater a bidder's reservation value is, the more a bidder will bid for the object, and 4) a bidder will bid when his expected profit is more than zero. The purpose of this paper is to design the optimal auctions, in terms of the reserve price and entry fee, that can be applied in any types of multiple unit auctions under the above assumptions. Further, auctioneer's expected revenue and profit, and all the winners' expected profit are analyzed.

  • This paper deals with a single-facility multiproduct lot-size model requiring consideration of setup costs. Each product is demanded at the constant rate per unit time in the next particular period. Due to the limitation of the production capacity, some productions of total demand requirement in that period must be pre-produced. The aim of this project is to determine when and how much of each product to make in order to minimize the total setup costs and inventory carrying-costs of all products. Also this paper contains the further realistic treatment of inventory carrying-costs.

  • This study considers warehouse sizing decisions in an integrated single vendor-single buyer production inventory system by incorporating new decision variables and constraints associated with warehouse size into the formulations. Two typical inventory control policies proposed in the literature (i.e., Identical Delivery Quantity and Deliver What is Produced) have been investigated with consideration of warehouse investment costs. The numerical study shows that Deliver What is Produced is less flexible than Identical Delivery Quantity, resulting in the conclusion that the latter would be preferable when considering warehouse investment costs.

  • A deterministic capacity expansion planning model for a two-capacity type facility is analyzed to determine the sizes to be expanded in each period so as to supply the known demands for two distinct capacity type(product) on time and to minimize the total cost incurred over a finite planning horizon of T periods. The model assumes that capacity unit of the facility simultaneously serves a prespecified number of demand units of each capacity type, that capacity type 1 can be used to supply demands for capacity type 2, but that capacity type 2 can't be used to supply demands for capacity type 1. Capacity expansion and excess capacity holding cost functions considered are nondecreasing and concave. The structure of an optimal solution is characterized and then used in developing an efficient dynamic programming algorithm that finds optimal capacity planning policy.

  • This research deals with an off-line learning method targeted for systematically constructing negotiation strategies in automated electronic commerce. Single-issue negotiation is assumed. Variants of competitive learning and hierarchical clustering method are devised and applied to extracting negotiation strategies, given historical negotiation data set and tactics. Our research is motivated by the following fact: evidence from both theoretical analysis and observations of human interaction shows that if decision makers have prior knowledge on the behaviors of opponents from negotiation, the overall payoff would increase. Simulation-based experiments convinced us that the proposed method is more effective than human negotiation in terms of the ratio of negotiation settlement and resulting payoff.

  • We present a tabu search (TS) algorithm to minimize maximum lateness on a single machine in the presence of sequence dependent setup times and dynamic job arrivals. The TS algorithm starts with a feasible schedule generated by a modified ATCS (Apparent Tardiness Cost with Setups) rule, then through a series of search steps it improves the initial schedule. Results of extensive computational experiments show that the TS algorithm significantly outperforms a well-known RHP heuristic by Ovacik and Uzsoy, both on the solutions quality and the computation time. The performance advantage is particularly pronounced when there is high competition among jobs for machine capacity.

Hyper-Rectangles를 이용한 단일 분류기 설계 (Design of One-Class Classifier Using Hyper-Rectangles)

  • Recently, the importance of one-class classification problem is more increasing. However, most of existing algorithms have the limitation on providing the information that effects on the prediction of the target value. Motivated by this remark, in this paper, we suggest an efficient one-class classifier using hyper-rectangles (H-RTGLs) that can be produced from intervals including observations. Specifically, we generate intervals for each feature and integrate them. For generating intervals, we consider two approaches : (i) interval merging and (ii) clustering. We evaluate the performance of the suggested methods by computing classification accuracy using area under the roc curve and compare them with other one-class classification algorithms using four datasets from UCI repository. Since H-RTGLs constructed for a given data set enable classification factors to be visible, we can discern which features effect on the classification result and extract patterns that a data set originally has.

  • 자판기 관련 기술의 발달은 이제 자판기를 단순 유형의 내용상품 만을 적용 판매하는 수준을 넘어 서게 한지 오래이다. 단일상품으로서 상품가치 극대화와 활용도 증가를 위해 여러 기능을 한 제품에 묶는 퓨전 성능화 동향이 최근 들어 급속화되고 있다. 따라서 어떤 성능을 메인 성능으로 보아야 할지 모호한 제품군이 등장하기도 하고, 심지어 자판기로서의 정체성까지 의심되는 경우도 있다. 자판기 기술발달과 적용 가능한 콘텐츠의 다양화에 따라 등장한 퓨전 자판기들은 분명 자판기 영역과 위상확대에 도움이 되는 것이 사실이지만 그 이면에는 확실한 하나의 기능으로서가 아닌 어중간한 제품 성격으로 제대로 소비자에게 어필하지 못하는 위험 수 역시 적지 않다. 하지만 기존 단순기능 위주의 자판기 시장은 한계가 있음에 미루어 볼 때 퓨전 성능화 동향은 거부 할 수 없는 신조류로 산업계에 새로운 가능성을 제시하고 있다. 이제 과제는 산업계가 그 흐름을 얼마나 발전적인 방향으로 유도해 내느냐에 달려 있다. 금호에서는 최근 부쩍 가속화되고 있는 자판기의 퓨전 성능화 동향을 집중진단해 보는 시간을 마련했다.

JIT구매 하에서의 단일제품의 통합재고모형에 관한 연구 (An Integrated Inventory Model for a Single Product and its Raw Materials in Just-In-Time Purchasing)

  • In this paper, we consider an integrated inventory system where a single supplier purchases and processes raw materials in order to deliver finished goods to a single buyer for effective implementation of Just-In-Time purchasing. An integrated JIT lot-splitting model of facilitating multiple shipments in small lots is developed in a JIT purchasing environment. Also, an iterative solution procedure is developed to find the order quantity for the finished goods and raw materials, and the number of shipments between buyer and supplier. We show by example that the integrated policy adopted by both buyer and supplier in a cooperative manner can provide them a greater economic benefit than seeking the local optimal inventory policy independently.

쉘앤튜브형 열교환기의 단일 쉘 내 고온공기 열유동 특성 해석 (Analysis on Characteristics of Thermal Flow of Hot Air in Single Shell of Shell and Tube-type Heat Exchanger)

  • The shell and tube-type heat exchangers have been frequently used in many industrial field because of its simple structure and wide operation conditions and so on. The purpose of this study is to investigate the flow characteristics in single shell of shell and tube-type heat exchanger according to velocity and temperature of hot air released from heat exchanger simulator through numerical analysis. As the results, the temperature was decreased in almost quadratic curve from top to bottom in single shell of the shell and tube-type heat exchanger. Further the changes of pressure and velocity in outlet according to change of inlet temperature were not observed. The cost for operating the shell and tube-type heat exchanger should be compared the supply cost of hot air with that of velocity in order to make a economic decision.
