  • Removable Storage provides the excellent portability with light weight and small size which fits in one's hand, many users have recently turned attention to the high-capacity products. However, due to the easy of portability for Removable Storage, Removable Storage are frequently lost and stolen and then many problems have been occurred such as the leaking of private information to the public. The advent of remote storage services where data is stored throughout the network, has allowed an increasing number of users to access data. The main data of many users is stored together on remote storage, but this has the problem of disclosure by an unethical administrator or attacker. To solve this problem, the encryption of data stored on the server has become necessary, and a searchable encryption system is needed for efficient retrieval of encrypted data. However, the existing searchable encryption system has the problem of low efficiency of document insert/delete operations and multi-keyword search. In this paper, an efficient searchable encryption system is proposed.

  • Data networks at sea will be overlapped networks with not only traditional carriers such as RF, satellites but also BWA like wireless LAN, WiBro, and WCDMA in near future. In this paper, an overlapped MANET model for data networks at sea, and a routing protocol (OMH-MW) selecting optimal transmission medium for each hop in routes are proposed. OMH-MW measures the optimality of each medium regarding the transmission characteristics of each application and those of the medium in together. The most suitable medium to each link is selected as the link in routes. Performances are compared with those of the MWR (Max-Win based Routing protocol searching optimal routes with only one medium).

  • 자체집광(Self-focusing)현상은 매우 높은 집적도를 가지는 광기록매체의 제작에 응용 가능하기 때문에 많은 연구자들에 의해 광범위하게 연구되어왔다. 그동안의 연구에서는 자체집광에 대한 분석방법으로서 빛살의 벡터특성을 무시한 비선형 슈뢰딩거 방정식(nonlinear Schr dinger equation)을 이용하였는데, 이 경우 축상으로 대칭적인 빛살이 입사될 때 발생되는 다중 필라멘테이션(Multiple Filamentation)현상은 입사빛살에 첨가되는 random noise에 기인한다는 것이 유일한 해석방법이었다.   • Ship Standard Network was submitted as a common subject of e-navigation by 81th IMO MSC 2005. This agenda was given an official status with strategy planning of e-navigation for Ship Standard Network after approval of WG program of 81th MSC 2006. Nowadays approximately 400 heterogeneous navigation and communication equipments are working on ships at sea. Standardization of ship network is to support exchanging various data efficiently. Among them, 4S network is defined as a wireless communication network between ship to ship and ship to shore which provides unceasing communication channel ship to shore. It has been expected to trigger various services and applications based on 4S network. However, no technologies and products has been appeared at fields yet. but now there's not specific technologies and developing products. In this paper, We developed a 4S multiple media switching server and a ship-land information exchange system to overcome the heterogeneity and provide efficient communication environments.. The performance of the implemented system was verified by TTA(Telecommunications Technology Association) V&V(Verification and Validation).

Centralized Channel Allocation Schemes for Incomplete Medium Sharing Systems with General Channel Access Constraints (불완전매체공유 시스템을 위한 집중방식 채널할당기법)

  • We define the incomplete medium sharing system as a multi-channel shared medium communication system where constraints are imposed to the set of channels that may be allocated to some transmitter-receiver node pairs. To derive a centralized MAC scheme of a incomplete medium sharing system, we address the problem of optimal channel allocation The optimal channel allocation problem is then translated into a max-flow problem in a multi-commodity flow graph, and it is shown that the optimal solution can then be obtained by solving a linear programming problem. In addition, two suboptimal channel allocation schemes are proposed to bring down the computational complexity to a practical/feasible level; (1) one is a modified iSLIP channel allocation scheme, (2) the other is sequential channel allocation scheme. From the results of a extensive set of numerical experiments, it is found that the suboptimal schemes evaluate channel utilization close to that of the optimal schemes while requiring much less amount of computation than the optimal scheme. In particular, the sequential channel allocation scheme is shown to achieve higher channel utilization with less computational complexity than . the modified iSLIP channel allocation scheme.

  • Starting with painting, it is the frame that plays the main role in movies, cartoons, and games as well as the act of attracting the audience's attention. Knowing about a frame is to be able to read and use the frame. Therefore, this paper deals with frames of digital games, especially multiple frames that complement the limited configuration of primary frames. In this paper, frame within frames are classified into structural frames, which are the basic components of the game, temporal frames, which reflect player behavior, and surface frames representing the characteristics of existing visual media. Through this, we examine the aspects of frame within a frame as digital game design equipment. This paper is meaningful in that it derives the possibility of using frame within a frame of games in the future and provides a mechanism for frame within a frame analysis.

Cognitive Development Effect of Mass Media: Revealing the Relationships among Mass Media Consumptions, Intelligence, and Academic Achievement (매스미디어의 인지개발효과: 매스미디어 이용과 다중지능, 그리고 학업성적과의 관계)

  • This study examines some cognitive development effects of mass media while testing the relations between mass media consumption and academic achievement and intelligence. In this research, students' television, newspaper, and internet consumption behaviors are used as independent variables which include motivations and magnitude of various content categories' and total consumption of those media. Dependent variables are school courses' test scores and eight intelligence scores based on Howard Gardner's multiple intelligence theory. It was found that media consumption magnitudes of various content categories have the most strong effects on those dependent variables. Each of various media consumption behaviors are found to have different effects according to which variable is dependent. For example, total internet consumption have positive effects on logical-mathematical intelligence but negative effects school achievements. Internet game sight have positive effects on logical-mathematical intelligence but negative effects on musical intelligence. It may be concluded that cognitive development is dependent mainly on what media contents students consume. Media consumption behaviors may have positive effects on some kinds of cognitive development and negative effects on other kinds. In other words, television or internet may have positive effects on academic achievement or intelligence contrary to popular thinking.

  • For multi-hologram recording especially in a dIsk-shaped storage medium. we had studied a simple cost-effective method to unplement the rotational, angular, and ,patial multiplexmg techniques together in order to enhance the area storage density. Holographic storage with both rotational and angular multIplexing was realized by controlling the rderence beam directly with a pair of wedge prisms. whlie the storage WIth spatIal multlplexmg by shIfting the storage medium. In thIS paper \ve show that lhe area storage density of our system is strongly dependent on f numbers of the lenses in the srgnal and reference anns, and also show that the area storage densrly becollles maximal when the f number of the lens in the signal arm is approximately twice as long for a given f number of the lens in the reference emn. e emn.

  • 본 논문은 현재 교환시스템의 시스템 랙(rack)간 전송에 사용되는 전기적 신호전송 매체의 한계인 155Mbps 또는 250Mbps에서 15m의 전송거리라는 제약을 극복하고 또한 기존의 단순 동기식 전송방식(1:1)에서 탈피하여 다중/역다중 접속방식(16:1)을 채택하여 고밀도, 저가격, 다중화/역다중화 기능을 포함하는 광송수신 모듈을 개발한 내용을 기술하고 있다. 본 기술은 155Mbps 16채널의 전기적 신호를 2.5Gbps 광신호로 변환하여 양방향으로 전송할 수 있는 Twin-ax/Optical Bus Access Module 개발에 관한 것이다.
