A Study on the Communication Mode of New Media (뉴미디어의 커뮤니케이션 양식 연구 - 게임형 가상세계 <월드 오브 워크래프트>를 중심으로)

  • 본 연구는 뉴미디어 환경에서 맥퀘일이 제시한 대안적 커뮤니케이션의 3 가지 양식인 전달(transmission)모델, 표현적(expressive) 또는 의식적(ritual)모델, 주의력(attention)모델이 어떻게 나타나고 있는지 게임형 가상세계 <월드 오브 워크래프트>의 사례를 중심으로 살펴보았다. 또한 이와 함께, 상호작용성과 사회적 실재감이 어떻게 구현되고 있는지를 분석했다. 연구 철과 대안적 커뮤니케이션 양식은 게임형 가상세계라는 뉴미디어 환경에서도 여전히 유효하며 다양한 사례를 통해 검증되었다. 또한 상호작용성과 실재감은 게임형 가상세계의 중요한 특징을 이루며 수용자들의 몰입과 적극적 참여를 높이는 기재로 작동하였다.

  • New media art moves out of place and time constraints, sublimates the benefits of technology into art, and presents a new way of communication with the audience. This paper analyses the tendency of nonverbal communication methods by analysing examples of facial expressions and sound used in new media art from early times. As a result, it can be seen that the digital paradigm in the new media art has a nonlinear thinking, which makes a perceptual reduction of immersion and dispersion. The facial expression in new media art made it possible not only to overcome the limit of space and time of various expressions through 'visual distortions, enlargement, and virtualisation', but also to enable new ways of communication to display facial parts combined or separated in the digital environment. The sound in new media art does not stay in auditory sense, but pursues multi-sensory and synesthesia by cooperating with visual and tactile, evolves by revealing characteristics of space expansion and sensibility and interaction of audience.

  • Today, the world is facing overflowing digital technology, floating digital contents in the air, and various perspectives on the contents, and these are called new media waves. The waves show diverse features applied in arts and interior designs. In the new media world, a process that shows what artists and designers are dreaming of, planning, and presenting is becoming important., Therefore, a purpose of this research is to understand and refine the concept of new media world, and is to study on presentations of new media art in commercial spaces. Up to present times, New media art is a metaphor in the air, which connects digital art and design. Like the modifier "NEW" contains meaning of frequent changing, new media art has various characteristics in the commercial areas. First, new media art shows lighter and various space-designs with numerous lights and colors through the evolution of interface between substances and non-substances. Second, new media art has liquidity of spaces that come with diverse communication and change though infinite possibilities of digital technology. Finally, new media arts has amusement itself based on virtual images through interactive reality extension from human experience.

  • 인간의 생각, 혹은 행동이나 경험을 통한 지식을 포함해서 데이터나 정보는 예술과 문화 영역에 새로운 관점을 일으키는 시각적 표현과 미디어 사이의 소통을 위한 수단이 되고 있다. 정보 와 데이터를 시각화 하는 방법은 예술의 형태를 통하여 다양하게 전개되어 왔다. 최근 예술에서 뉴미디어와 상호작용 기술의 적용은 다양한 데이터나 정보 수집을 통해 미적 표현의 가능성을 확장하거나, 관객이 작품에 능동적이고 직접적으로 참여할 수 있는 몰입 시청각 환경을 제공하며, 또한 직관적인 정보 시각화를 사용하여 상호작용적인 입체적 가상환경의 시공간 개념을 확장한다. 그러므로 관객은 수동적 수용자라기보다는 작품의 환경을 변화시키는 능동적 역할을 할 수 있다. 예술 및 디자인 영역에서 예술가의 뉴미디어 활용은 정보를 정적인 시각화 방법에서 디지털 기반 이미지 처리와 사용자 생성 시각화 방법으로 더욱 상호작용적이고 역동적인 표현으로 변형하고 있다. 미디어아트에서 시각화의 목적은 관객이나 사용자가 예술 작품에 존재하는 정보나 데이터 기반 콘텐츠를 더 쉽고 빠르게 이해하고 상호반응하도록 돕는 것이다. 본 연구는 미디어아트에서 정보나 데이터 시각화를 사용하여 작품과 관객 사이의 상호작용적 소통을 유발하는 다양한 시각적 표현 방법을 알아보기 위하여, 최근 미디어아트 사례들을 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 분석 내용은 관객이 참여할 수 있는 시청각 설치 환경을 구성하는 다양한 상호작용 디자인 방법들을 작품에 적용함으로써 데이터나 정보를 시각화하는 방법, 예술 작품의 구성 요소로서 미적 표현들 생성에 관한 해석, 그리고 미디어아트를 완성하기 위한 실질적인 요인으로서 미디어아트와 관객 간의 상호작용적인 소통이 이루어지는 방법들을 포함한다. 이러한 분석들은 새로운 상호작용 시각 표현의 가능성을 제공하며, 관객이 최근 미디어아트를 미적 예술형식으로 이해하도록 도울 것이다.

  • Various works of art in a convergent form using new media technology Reflecting the attempted trend, this paper examines the footsteps of public art and Looking at the examples of works using new media art as an expression method of public art works, I suggest vr drawing as a new tool for public media art. The drawing performance using the vr drawing tool and the case of the vr realistic performance scarecrow, The vr drawing tool can infer the possibility of practical application as a new expression method of public art. This study uses a vr drawing tool among new media technologies in the future. It is believed that it will be a prior study that will help prospective creators. In addition, compared to the media status in the era of the 4th industrial revolution, art and If you think and analyze the future value of technology, I think it will be a meaningful study.

  • This study would focus on two section of comparison about creative : one is on between advertisement in magazines as an old media and banner advertisements in websites, the other is on between woman target-oriented advertisement and man target-oriented one. This study commenced on the basis on the viewpoint of gender-design assuming prevalence of masculine ideology in advertisement in the context of men-built society. How delicate the expressions toward woman in woman target-oriented adverts\ulcorner The objectives of this study is as followed. The stereotype could be seen in magazine adverts and web-banner. We can conclude that changed media environment seldom affects in the old media and new media. Especially color stereotype is appeal.

  • 본 논문에서는 네트워크 이상치 탐지를 위하여 정상 데이터만을 활용한 메모리 기반 정상성 학습 모델을 제안한다. 오토인코더를 기반으로 정상 데이터의 특징을 표현하는 프로토타입을 생성할 수 있도록 신경망을 구성하고, 네트워크 데이터의 특성을 반영하여 쿼리의 수를 한 개로 고정하며, 사용되는 프로토타입의 수를 지정한 값으로 고정하여 모든 프로토타입에 정상 데이터의 특징을 반영할 수 있는 학습 방법을 제안한다. 해당 모델을 네트워크 이상치 탐지 데이터 세트인 Kyoto Honeypot, UNSW-NB15, CICIDS-2018에 적용하여 본 결과 Kyoto Honeypot에서는 0.821, UNSW-NB15에서는 0.854, CICIDS-2018에서는 0.981의 AUROC를 달성했다.

  • Art work based on computer and internet media technologies such as digital art, computer art, internet art, interactive art. Through examples, we studied the interaction and communication method between the audience and the exhibition objects. It was confirmed that the new media works are expressed in a new form by fusion with various technologies of experimental propensity, and research and analysis of overseas media-related exhibition cases and interactive media use cases of works exhibited at the 'Media City Exhibition' in Korea were conducted. Was able to confirm the main characteristics of new media art. I think it will be a more meaningful study by setting specific criteria and focusing on the fields of application of new media art and comparing and analyzing the future values of the times.

  • Receiving information and transmitting it is the most basic and important thing in numan society. And modern communication is not only transmitting objective information but also a visual communication which shows feeling of each emotions and image-motive. Introduction of Motion graphic which was grown by new media changed opening title sequence to a more expanded genre. The purpose of this research is to announce the new value of opening title sequence. Motion graphic will be used continually as an important way to communicate and also a guideline which could transmit exact informations and emotions to viewers with creative expressions.

  • The advent of new media resulted in the revolutionary change of human way of life, which have big influence on the society and new culture other than that of the past appeared. This study aims preparing indicators of digital display space which meets with paradigm of the new age by studying characteristics of expression of new media in digital display space. his study searched for their meaning and possibilities by analyzing their characteristics of expression through cases of digital display space at homeand overseas since 1990s with key words of characteristics of expression of new media. Characteristics of expression in modern digital display space are characterized by immateriality, interrelated actions, nature of non-rectilineal figure, space is immaterial and abstract by new media, and new aesthetics completed by expression of images. Accordingly, we expect that this study will be the medium of development of digital display space which is developed more and communicated mutually by rapidly understanding changes of digital display space in the future.
