'97년도 국내의 일부작업을 제외한 주요 벼농사의 기계화율은 98%로서 거의 기계화가 완료된 수준이지만 밭농사의 경우 평균 42%의 수준으로 아직도 노동투하량이 많은 이식 수확분야의 기계화가 저조한 실정이다. 따라서 전작과 관련한 농작업 가운데 상대적으로 많은 노동력을 필요로 하는 이식 작업의 기계화 및 자동화가 시급한 실정이다. (중략)

뿌리작물재배에서 수확작업은 노동 강도가 크고 비교적 많은 노동력을 필요로 하고 있다. 뿌리작물의 수확작업에 주로 전용수확기가 사용되고 있는데 전용수확기는 어떤 특정한 작물에만 사용되기 때문에 이용률이 비교적 낮다. 이런 이용률이 낮은 기계를 구입하는 농민의 입장에서 보나 이런 기계를 공급하는 기업의 입장에서 볼 때 어떤 특정한 작물의 수확에만 국한되지 않고 물성이 서로 다른 뿌리작물의 수확에도 이용할 수 있는 굴취기의 개발이 필요한 실정이다. (중략)

Agricultural machines can be viewed as a very important factor to reduce the workforce and reduce production costs as well as keep up with now days trend caused Labor shortages and the workforce reduction by aging in rural. The latest agricultural machinery has developed into a major agricultural industry to apply and integrate the telecommunication, next-generation batteries, semiconductors, wireless communications, content and high-tech display industry technology with a wide range of applications. In this study, to apply the information and communication technologies on agricultural planters relied on a mechanical method, we designed a quick and sophisticated ICT convergence planters that enable to monitor.

심각한 기후 변화와 증가하는 인구에 따른 전 세계적인 식량 부족 현상으로 농업 분야에서의 자동화는 점점 중요성이 커지고 있다. 특히 우리나라와 같이 농업 인구의 고령화, 해외 수입 농산품과의 가격 경쟁력 향상과 고 생산성 요구가 거센 환경에서는 농업의 자동화는 다가오는 미래가 아니라 반드시 적용하고 해결해야만 하는 필수 요소가 되었다. 농업은 제한된 공간에서 저 노동력으로 최대의 생산성을 얻기 위해서 다양한 최신 학문 영역과의 융합을 시도하고 있다. 이 문서에서는 이에 관련하여 농업과 로봇(자동화) 산업의 결합에 중점을 두고 농업용 로봇과 식물공장의 주요 기술을 소개하고 사례를 설명하는 것을 목적으로 한다.

Although the rate of women farmer's participation in agricultural activities have been increased upto 52.7 % as of year 2003, Korean society has not fully recognized their roles in rural society. According to the agricultural basic law, most of rural women were engaged in agriculture as full time job, however, only about 11% of them could have supporting evidence of themselves as farmer having legal right. If women farmers faced some unexpected things such as a traffic accident, insurance company would not reward them as farmers unless they provide written proof of their job as farm worker or farm owner. Based on lawyer's legal advice, the authors developed a diary called "Saenghwalilji", a daily diary based on their time use and bookkeeping to prove the fact of their contribution to income generation of the farm. After examination of the diary, 18 persons out of 29 volunteers kept two types of dairy for the period of two weeks, and they reported it was very useful. Finally the better one of two was selected after reflecting the suggestions from the respondents. The "Saenghwalilji", will be very useful proof of women farmer's contribution to income, at the same time improving their farm management through better use of daily life time.

농촌지역은 건강과 식생활의 자연친화적으로 볼 수 있으나 실제로 농약사용과 과다한 노동 부하와 함께 농업의 세계화 추세에 따라 농업종사자의 정신적 육체적 어려움이 클 것으로 본다. 이에 따라 농촌에서 거주하지만 농업에 종사하는 사람과 비농업에 종사하는 사람들 간에 식품의 생산과 식행동 및 건강관리 행동에 차이를 알아보고 농업종사자의 나은 건강생활을 위한 자료로 활용하기 위하여 본 연구를 실시하였다. 농촌을 행정구역별로 인구비례에 따라 층화추출법으로 1870명을 선발하였다.(중략)

김상우 지회장은 한국전쟁 당시 북한 노동당사와 백마고지 전투 때 숨진 군인들의 넋을 위로하는 위령탑 등이 있는 민간인출입통제선 안에 있는 철원군 철원읍 대마2리에서 35년째 자연의 섭리에 따라 쌀농사를 짓는 친환경 농업의 선도자로 불린다.
