Spectrum-Band Prioritization Scheme for Establishing Efficient Spectrum-Use Policy (효율적 주파수 이용 정책 개발을 위한 주파수 대역 이용효율개선 우선순위 평가 방안)

  • As the spectrum demand increases, securing spectrum resources in a timely manner becomes necessary. This paper proposes a spectrum-band prioritization scheme for establishing an efficient spectrum-use policy. The criteria for spectrum-band prioritization are derived from articles of the Radio Waves Act, and a four-level matrix for priority evaluation is proposed, considering both demand urgency and supply ease. The prioritization processes and items to consider for measuring each criteria are also proposed in order to implement the proposed prioritization scheme. It is expected that the proposed scheme can help secure the spectrum in a timely manner, protect incumbent users properly, and promote new spectrum-based businesses.

Performance Evaluation Algorithm of Contents Curation Platform (콘텐츠 큐레이션 플랫폼 성능평가 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, a performance evaluation algorithm of contents curation platform is proposed. The evaluation starts with setting the initial-final conditions, and measures four performance evaluation parameters. These parameters are response rate of service, accuracy of response result, precision of analysis result, and recall rate of analysis result. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, a database of 118,738 cases was constructed and the contents was opened on the Internet. In this experiment, 6,975,365 pageviews were applied to analysis user behavior. Through the measurement of four parameters, it was confirmed that the integrated and unit evaluation of content curation platform can be performed objectively.

  • In an open, heterogeneous environment based on machine-to-machine (M2M) interactions, service selection is a critical issue and the concept of social trust can be applied to service selection so that IoT devices can make the best choice for interaction. In this paper, we propose a method for evaluating the trust level of the service and for estimating the QoS of the composite service using a profile created based on social trust relationship in IoT environment. As the service selection is made through quantitative evaluation, it is expected that the result of a more reliable service combination can be obtained.

  • 웹 접근성(Web Accessibility) 평가를 위하여 웹 접근성 표준 가이드라인에 기반 한 120여개의 자동화 평가 도구들이 존재한다. 국외 평가도구는 WCAG 1.0과 미국 재활법 508조를 기준으로 만들어진 A-Prompt, Bobby 등이 있으며, 국내에는 KWCAG 1.0에 기반하여 한국정보문화진흥원에서 제작한 KADO-WAH가 유일한 자동화 웹접근성 평가도구이다. KADO-WAH는 국외 평가도구와 비교하여 상세한 검사를 진행하지 않으며 자동화 평가 범위가 한정되어 있어 상당부분 전문가 평가를 필요로 한다. 이를 보완하기 위하여 개선된 웹 접근성 평가도구의 개발이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 국내 자동화 평가도구인 KADO-WAH의 기능을 향상시키기 위하여 국외 자동화 평가도구와 비교 분석을 통해 KADO-WAH의 문제점을 제시하고, 이 문제점을 개선한 웹 접근성 평가도구를 구현한다.

Usability Evaluation Model for Locomotion Technology in VR Space (VR 공간에서의 이동기술 평가를 위한 사용성평가 모델)

  • In this paper, we propose an evaluation model to evaluate the usability of locomotion technologies in a virtual environment (VE; Virtual Environment) and try to verify them through a case study. The order of this study firstly, the factors for analysis are derived through theoretical approach to locomotion technology on VR. Second, the definition and concept of mobile technology and usability evaluation in VR are established theoretically and the elements for analysis are derived through the literature survey through the theoretical approach to VE. Third, based on this, a usability evaluation model is proposed to evaluate locomotion technologies in the VE. Finally, the results are derived by experimenting and analyzing the existing VR games applied with the three locomotion technologies derived from the literature survey. Through this paper, the locomotion technology in VR is not used separately, but can propose mobile technology that conforms to VR game content characteristics by assessing its usability and analyzing it, and it is considered to be a significant data that can suggest criteria for identifying problems in locomotion technology.

  • In this paper, we propose a user experience evaluation method for virtual reality living space contents and apply it to prototype simulations to measure user experience. The user evaluation method proposed in this paper is based on the existing user evaluation methodology, but it is established by changing the experience and evaluation factors to match the characteristics of the virtual reality living space. The generated virtual reality living space simulation is configured similar to real space and is placed real objects that the user actually uses in each space, so that users can feel reality. The subjects performed the tasks according to the given scenarios and then evaluated the simulation. As a result of the evaluation, the main goal of the simulation, the items that make the users feel realistic, were lower than our expectations. This means that future simulations need to be modified in a way that adds or expands elements that enhance the realism. In this way, the UX evaluation method proposed in this paper is expected to provide a more objective indicator to the content developer or designer in order to grasp the user's demand in the virtual reality living space.

  • It has been required to develop an accurate and reliable evaluation method for the performance of biometric systems as their use is getting popular. Among a number of biometric systems, face recognition is one of the most widely used techniques and this leads to develop a stable evaluation method for face recognition systems in order to standardize the performance of face recognition systems. However, it is considered as a difficult task to evaluation such systems due to a large number of factors that affect their performance. Thus, it may be infeasible to take into account all the environmental factors that are related to the performance of face recognition systems and this naturally suggests an evaluation method for the overall performance based on scenarios. In this paper, we have analyzed environmental factors that are related to the performance of general face recognition systems and proposed their evaluation method taking into account those factors. We have proposed an evaluation method based on scenario that considers the combination of individual environment factors instead of evaluating the performance of face recognition systems regarding each factor. Indeed, we have presented examples on the evaluation of face recognition systems based on scenario that takes into account overall environmental factors.

The End-to-end Performance Evaluation Method on Next Generation Network (NGN 환경에 적합한 단대단 성능평가 방법)

  • In order to test and evaluate the various functions and services of NGN would be promised, a specified methodology is needed and a development for the identification of testing object, configuration and test traffic are required. Simulation and analytical modeling methodshave used for IP performance testing, but further study issue still remains. This paper proposes new evaluation methodology to achieve an objective approach rather than a subjective and isolated, based on the real-field environment, for NGN network. For this purpose, background traffic pattern to interfere test traffic was specified and it was tested in actual NGN testbed with systems having NGN technology, such as per bandwidth and packet size. The results shows the suggested methodology is appropriate, comparing with parameters which are Delay, Jitter and Loss the current approach for the end-to-end performance evaluation on NGN.

  • The biggest strength of the Internet is to enable to access information without any limitation of time and space. As the Internet and IT technologies have been developed, various kinds of teaching ways in education field such as remote lectures, video lectures, and CAI(Computer Adapted Instruction) have emerged. In terms of education, evaluation can be a basic foundation to help teach students in the next learning stage according to each student's level. In addition, it is able to give the information of students'abilities and provides proper learning programs to teach students on a case-by-case basis. The purpose of the paper is to establish evaluation system on the WWW(World Wide Web) that can reflect learning activities part of students in their evaluation scores based on the two important learning theories, Behaviorism and constructivism, which are mainly used in evaluation procedures to judge learning ability of students. This system will give information about learners, and analyze the learning interest of learners. The proposed system enables teachers to evaluate learning ability of students through various kinds of information of learners, and to execute level-based education.

  • It is essential suity management and standardized asset analysis for telecommunication networks, however existing risk analysis methods and tools are not enough to give shape of the method to evaluate value and asset. they only support asset classification schemes. Moreover, since the existing asset classification schemes are to evaluate comprehensive general risk, they are not appropriate for being applied telecommunication networks and they can´t offer any solutions to an evaluator´s subjectivity problem. In this paper, to solve these problems, we introduce the standardized definition of asset evaluation model new asset classification scheme, two-dimensional asset process classification scheme to consider business process and asset, various evaluation standards for quantitative value and qualitative evaluation. To settle an valuator´s subjectivity problem, we proposed $\beta$-distribution Delphi method.
