Photonic Microwave Notch Filter with Negative Coefficient Using Reflective Semiconductor Optical Amplifier (반사형 반도체 광 증폭기를 이용한 음계수를 가지는 광 마이크로파 노치 필터)

  • We propose and experimentally demonstrate a photonic microwave notch filter with a negative coefficient. The negative coefficient is obtained by using cross gain modulation (XGM) in a reflective semiconductor optical amplifier (RSOA). When the RSOA is operated in saturated region, the signal carried on the pump wavelength is inversely copied to the probe wavelength by the XGM effect, showing a negative coefficient. Time delay between pump signal and probe signal is provided by single mode fiber (SMF) with wavelength dependent time delay. The proposed microwave notch filter shows notch dips of more than 35.1 dB and free spectral range (FSR) of about 380.6 MHz.

  • 본 논문에서는 영상에서 발생하는 주기적 잡음을 제거하기 위해 다양한 필터들을 이용하여 성능 비교 실험을 수행한다. 영상의 주파수 도메인에서 지역적으로 잡음이 발생하면 영상의 공간 도메인에서 주기적인 잡음이 발생한다. 우선, 영상을 주파수 도메인에서 잡음을 야기시키는 영역을 분석하여 해당 영역에 지역적으로 노치 필터를 적용한다. 이를 통해 영상의 원신호를 유지하면서 영상에서 발생했던 주기적 잡음을 제거함으로써 영상의 화질이 개선됨을 실험을 통해 검증했다. 또한 객관적 지표 비교를 통해 3 가지의 지역적인 노치 필터들의 성능을 비교하고 최적의 필터를 제시한다.

  • In this paper a novel method improving the accuracy of DTMF tone reception in ARS system is proposed. ARS system should allow users to generate DTMF signals while it is sending voice guidance. It is not unocmmon, in this case, that a portion of transmitting voice signals cross-talks to the receiving channel and it often results in interfering with the receiving DTMF signals. Serious degradations including DTMF tone missing, false alarm and so forth have been introduced for the above reason. To overcome this phenomena, we have proposed a way eliminating the frequency spectra representing DTMF signals bands from the transmitting voice signal by using notch filters. This method also employs bandpass filters of which the frequency responses are reciprocal to those of the notch filters incorporated with the DTMF receiver. It is shown that a drastic improvement has been achieved with respect to the DTMF tone detection with little deterioration of voice guidance quality.

  • PMSM(Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor)은 가공기, 로봇, 공장 자동화 등 현재까지도 산업 시스템 전반에 널리 쓰이고 있으며, 그에 대한 연구도 활발히 진행되고 있다. 하지만 PMSM에 부하를 인가하거나 혹은 기계 몸체와의 결합 과정에서 기구부가 가지고 있는 고유진동 주파수에 의해 동력 전달 부분에 있어 기계계의 응답 특성은 불안정해지고, 떨림 현상이 발생된다. 본 논문에서는 PMSM을 이용한 회전 운동 시스템에서 출력되는 전류에 기구부가 가지고 있는 특정 영역의 고유진동 주파수를 제거한 전류를 적응 노치필터를 통해 내보낸다. 그 결과 기계부의 떨림 현상을 제거하고, 안정적인 제어 시스템을 제안한다. 이 제어알고리즘을 가상실험으로 필터 통과 전과 후의 결과를 비교 및 분석하도록 한다.

  • In this paper, we proposed a complex multirate filter bank(CMRFB) based adaptive notch filtering technique to solve the co-existence narrowband interference problem of DS-CDMA and TDMA systems. We have discussed error performance of co-existence of DS-CDMA and TDMA system by using complex multirate filter bank in land mobile channel and computer simulation results show that the proposed scheme can eliminate the narrowband interference(TDMA signals) effectively.

  • When PPG signal is used in mobile healthcare devices, the accuracy of the measured heartbeat decreases from the influence by the movement of the user. The reason is that the frequency band of the noise overlaps the frequency band of the PPG signal. In order to remove these same noises, the methods using frequency analysis method or application of acceleration sensor have been investigated and showed excellent performance. However, in applying these methods to low-cost healthcare devices, it is difficult to apply these methods because of much processing time and sensor's cost. In order to solve these problems, this study proposed the filter design method using an adaptive notch filter and the fuzzy inference system to extract more accurate heart rate in real time and evaluated its performance. As results, it showed better results than the other methods. Based on the results, when applying the proposed method to design the mobile healthcare device, it is possible to measure the heartbeat more accurately in real time.

KSR-III 김발엔진 구동장치 서보필터 설계

  • In this paper, a servo filter design for the gimbal engine actuator system of KSR-III(Korea Sounding Rocket-III) is considered. A reasonable filter structure is determined based on the actuator analytic models. The servo filter consists of a 2-nd order lowpass filter and a 1-st order compensator. The lowpass filter is required to protect the actuator from high frequency vibration, and the compensator to enhance the resulting stability. A Butterworth type servo filter is considered as the simplest one. The final servo filter type is determined by evaluating simultaneously both high frequency gain reduction performance and the corresponding KSR-III stability margin. Consequently it is revealed that a notch type servo filter located on the error between command signal and feedback signal in the control loop is very effective. Later, based on the proposed servo filter type, an onboard servo filter hardware of KSR-III will be designed and tested.

  • In this paper a novel power converter for some notches generation in the point of common coupling is described. The magnitude, width, polarity, and position of the notches generated by the proposed scheme can be varied arbitrary with simple control. The scheme has good features of simple structure, high reliability, low cost, high efficiency, and the capability of arbitrary several notches generation. The converter can be used for the test of custom power devices such as UPS, DVR, active power filter, etc. The circuit operation is described and the usefulness of the scheme is verified through simulations.

  • 계통연계형 인버터는 전류의 리플 저감을 위하여 필터를 사용하는데, 구조가 간단하여 많이 사용되던 기존의 L필터는 인버터의 정격이 증가함에 따라 필터의 크기도 증가되고 큰 인덕턴스 값으로 인하여 좋지 않은 동특성을 갖게 된다. 따라서 발전용 PCS등 대용량의 경우 작은 인덕턴스로 동일한 고조파특성을 가질 수 있는 LCL 필터를 사용하는 것이 유리하다. 그러나 LCL필터의 사용 시 공진이 발생할 수 있으나 이러한 문제에 관해서 다루어진 예가 많지 않다. 본 논문에서는 대용량 계통연계 인버터의 LCL 필터 설계 및 노치필터를 이용한 액티브댐핑의 원리를 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통하여 타당성을 검증한다.

  • Microwave Photonic(MWP) filters capable of use a bandpass filter or a notch filter with large bandwidth have been proposed. 4-lines${\times}$2-bit fiber-optic delay lines with a unit time-delay difference of 50 ps were experimentally realized. By changing the time-delay difference and the coefficients of microwave-modulated optical signals, the bandpass and notch filters were implemented and characterized.
