Today using Internet environment is considered absolutely essential for establishing corporate marketing strategy. Companies have promoted their products and services through various ways of on-line marketing activities such as providing gifts and points to customers in exchange for participating in events, which is based on customers' membership data. Since companies can use these membership data to enhance their marketing efforts through various data analysis, appropriate website membership management may play an important role in increasing the effectiveness of on-line marketing campaign. Despite the growing interests in proper membership management, however, there have been difficulties in identifying inappropriate members who can weaken on-line marketing effectiveness. In on-line environment, customers tend to not reveal themselves clearly compared to off-line market. Customers who have malicious intent are able to create duplicate IDs by using others' names illegally or faking login information during joining membership. Since the duplicate members are likely to intercept gifts and points that should be sent to appropriate customers who deserve them, this can result in ineffective marketing efforts. Considering that the number of website members and its related marketing costs are significantly increasing, it is necessary for companies to find efficient ways to screen and exclude unfavorable troublemakers who are duplicate members. With this motivation, this study proposes an approach for managing duplicate membership based on the social network analysis and verifies its effectiveness using membership data gathered from real websites. A social network is a social structure made up of actors called nodes, which are tied by one or more specific types of interdependency. Social networks represent the relationship between the nodes and show the direction and strength of the relationship. Various analytical techniques have been proposed based on the social relationships, such as centrality analysis, structural holes analysis, structural equivalents analysis, and so on. Component analysis, one of the social network analysis techniques, deals with the sub-networks that form meaningful information in the group connection. We propose a method for managing duplicate memberships using component analysis. The procedure is as follows. First step is to identify membership attributes that will be used for analyzing relationship patterns among memberships. Membership attributes include ID, telephone number, address, posting time, IP address, and so on. Second step is to compose social matrices based on the identified membership attributes and aggregate the values of each social matrix into a combined social matrix. The combined social matrix represents how strong pairs of nodes are connected together. When a pair of nodes is strongly connected, we expect that those nodes are likely to be duplicate memberships. The combined social matrix is transformed into a binary matrix with '0' or '1' of cell values using a relationship criterion that determines whether the membership is duplicate or not. Third step is to conduct a component analysis for the combined social matrix in order to identify component nodes and isolated nodes. Fourth, identify the number of real memberships and calculate the reliability of website membership based on the component analysis results. The proposed procedure was applied to three real websites operated by a pharmaceutical company. The empirical results showed that the proposed method was superior to the traditional database approach using simple address comparison. In conclusion, this study is expected to shed some light on how social network analysis can enhance a reliable on-line marketing performance by efficiently and effectively identifying duplicate memberships of websites.

Anonymity is the one of main reasons for substantial improvement of Internet. It encourages various users to express their opinion freely and helps Internet based distributed systems vitalize. But, anonymity can cause unexpected threats because personal information of an online user is hidden. Especially, distributed systems are threatened by Sybil attack, where one malicious user creates and manages multiple fake online identities. To prevent Sybil attack, the traditional solutions include increasing the complexity of identity generation and mapping online identities to real-world identities. But, even though the high complexity of identity generation increases the generation cost of Sybil identities, eventually they are generated and there is no further way to suppress their activity. Also, the mapping between online identities and real identities may cause high possibility of losing anonymity. Recently, some methods using online social network to prevent Sybil attack are researched. In this paper, a new method is proposed for extracting a user's system-wide Sybil-resistant trust value by using the properties embedded in online social network graphs. The proposed method can be categorized into 3 types based on sampling and decision strategies. By using graphs sampled from Facebook, the performance of the 3 types of the proposed method is evaluated. Moreover, the impact of Sybil attack on nodes with different characteristics is evaluated in order to understand the behavior of Sybil attack.
Due to the resource limitations of sensor nodes, providing a security protocol is a particular challenge in sensor networks. One popular method is the neighborhood-based key agreement protocol (NEKAP). NEKAP is an efficient and lightweight protocol, but it includes loopholes through which adversaries may launch replay attacks by successfully masquerading as legitimate nodes. In this paper, we present a modified security protocol for wireless sensor networks. We provide four types of keys for each node, which adapt to different security requirements; and an improvement is made to alleviate the replay attack. According to our qualitative performance analyses, the proposed security protocol provides effectiveness in terms of authentication security, attacking node detection, and replay attack resilience when compared to the conventional method.

While industrial ecology theories and policy approaches have been considerably influential in regional economy, the dynamism and limitations of regional venture ecosystem are less clearly examined. In particular, the activities of strategic network brokerage require further research in relation to its internal and external interactions and collaborative mechanisms. Based on the analysis results of conditions of Daegu Gyeongbuk regional venture firms, this article examines the necessities of strategic network brokerage in regional venture ecosystem in the dimensions of network conditions as the intrinsic limitations, of innovation direction method outcome as the extrinsic trends, and of the related regional demands. In particular, this article tries to explore the roles and activity scopes of strategic network brokerage to contribute for making up for the weakness of diverse network infrastructures of regional venture ecosystem, for dealing with the mismatch for the extrinsic change trends of industrial technologies, and for fulfilling the strengthening trends of intrinsic capacities.
The cyber battlefield called the fifth battlefield, is not based on geological information unlike the existing traditional battlefiels in the land, sea, air and space, and has a characteristics that all information has tightly coupled correlation to be anlayized. Because the cyber battlefield has created by the network connection of computers located on the physical battlefield, it is not completely seperated from the geolocational information but it has dependency on network topology and software's vulnerabilities. Therefore, the analysis for cyber battlefield should be provided in a form that can recognize information from multiple domains at a glance, rather than a single geographical or logical aspect. In this paper, we describe a study on the development of the cyber operation COP(Common Operational Picture), which is essential for command and control in the cyber warfare. In particular, we propose an architecure for cyber operation COP to intuitively display information based on visualization techniques applying the multi-layering concept from multiple domains that need to be correlated such as cyber assets, threats, and missions. With this proposed cyber operation COP with multi-layered visualization that helps to describe correlated information among cyber factors, we expect the commanders actually perfcrm cyber command and control in the very complex and unclear cyber battlefield.

This study aimed to develop a scale to measure the family strength of single-parent families. We analyzed the everyday life and demands of single-parent families using the theory of family strength to draw 78 items that encompass family basis, relationships, roles, social networks and family culture. Using a sample of 286 single-parent families through an online survey platform, we examined the factor structure of the items and selected 48 items based on the results of the factor analysis. Reliability, criterion and construct validity were also examined. The final scale comprised of five domains ; basis, parents' role, work-life balance, social network, lifestyle and household management. This scale can be used as an assessment measure of the family strength of single-parent families for consulting, case management and suggesting various programs in the field. This merit will help enhance the quality of programing for single-parent families at the Healthy Family Support Center and the development of family strength scales for various types of families.
Unlike a general IT environment, an industrial control system is an environment where stability and continuity are more important than security. In the event of a security accident in the industrial control system, physical motion can be controlled, so physical damage can occur and physical damage can even result in personal injury. Cyber attacks on industrial control systems are not simply cyber damage, but terrorism. However, the security of industrial control systems has not been strengthened yet, and many vulnerabilities are actually occurring. This paper shows that the PLC can be remotely controlled by analyzing the connection process and packets for the PLC protocol used in the industrial control system and bypassing the security mechanism existing in the protocol. Through this, we intend to raise the security awareness of the industrial control system.
Utilization of web application has been widely spread and complication in recent years by the rapid development of network technologies and changes in the computing environment. The attack being target of this is increasing and the means is diverse and intelligent while these web applications are using to a lot of important services. In this paper, we proposed security model using virtualization technology to prevent attacks using vulnerabilities of web application. The request information for query in a database server also can be recognized by conveying to the virtual web server after ID is given to created session by the client request and the type of the query is analyzed in this request. VM-Master module is constructed in order to monitor traffic between the virtual web servers and prevent the waste of resources of Host OS. The performance of attack detection and resource utilization of the proposed method is experimentally confirmed.

Recently, the rapid development of network technology has enabled people to use various services on the internet. However, the existing password-based user authentication system used in the internet environment requires a password table, which is a potential security threat as it could be leaked by an insider. To solve this issue, remote user authentication methods that do not require a user password table have been proposed. Regarding remote user authentication using a smart card in particular, various methods have been suggested to reduce expenses and to improve stability and efficiency, but the possibility of impersonation attacks and password-guessing attacks using information saved in a user's smart card still exist. Therefore, this study proposes a remote user authentication method that can safeguard against impersonation attacks and password guessing attacks, by analyzing weak points of conventional methods and creating a smart card's ID and password that are based on the user's ID and password.

State-based infrastructure on IT-based network are prone to numerous cyber attack including subsequent hacking and internet infringement. These acts of terrorism are increasing because of the expanding IT convergence technology. Recently, the trend on cyber security monitoring and control researches focus on combining the general idea of security monitoring and control along with IT field and other control systems. This convergence trend has been increasing in both the use and importance. This research analyzes the state-based infrastructure monitoring and control system, its vulnerability as well as its improvement by incorporating the cyber convergence systems to existing systems. The subject of this research is for extensive use of CCTV systems which is expanded for 'CCTV Monitoring and Control Field' as well as 'Traffic Monitoring and Control Field' operated by 'Intelligent Traffic Information System' and Disaster Management Area which is studied in various fields. Eventually, the objective of the paper is to solve these issues, to apply related systems and to suggest improvement on the convergence system.
