Dynamic Local Update-based Routing Protocol(D-LURP) in Wireless Sensor Network with Mobile Sink (모바일 싱크노드를 갖는 무선 센서 네트워크에서 동적 지역 업데이트 기반의 라우팅 프로토콜(D-LURP))

  • Mobile Wireless Sensor Network is an organized collection of sensor nodes and mobile sink nodes, in which the sensor node transmits the signal to the sink node. In real environment, there are many cases in which sinks have mobility caused by the people, the vehicle and etc. Since all nodes in the sensor networks have limited energy, many researches have been done in order to prolong the lifetime of the entire network. In this paper we propose Dynamic Local Update-based Routing Protocol(D-LURP) that prolong the lifetime of the entire network to efficiently maintain frequent location update of mobile sink static sensor nodes in Mobile WSNs. When the sink node moves out of the local broadcasting area the proposed D-LURP configures dynamically the local update area consisted of the new local broadcasting area and the previous dissemination node(DN) and find the path between the DN and the sink node, instead of processing a new discovering path like LURP. In this way the processing of broadcasting sink node's location information in the entire network will be omitted. and thus less energy will be consumpted. We compare the performances of the proposed scheme and existing Protocols.

A Study on Interdisciplinary Structure of Big Data Research with Journal-Level Bibliographic-Coupling Analysis (학술지 단위 서지결합분석을 통한 빅데이터 연구분야의 학제적 구조에 관한 연구)

  • Interdisciplinary approach has been recognized as one of key strategies to address various and complex research problems in modern science. The purpose of this study is to investigate the interdisciplinary characteristics and structure of the field of big data. Among the 1,083 journals related to the field of big data, multiple Subject Categories (SC) from the Web of Science were assigned to 420 journals (38.8%) and 239 journals (22.1%) were assigned with the SCs from different fields. These results show that the field of big data indicates the characteristics of interdisciplinarity. In addition, through bibliographic coupling network analysis of top 56 journals, 10 clusters in the network were recognized. Among the 10 clusters, 7 clusters were from computer science field focusing on technical aspects such as storing, processing and analyzing the data. The results of cluster analysis also identified multiple research works of analyzing and utilizing big data in various fields such as science & technology, engineering, communication, law, geography, bio-engineering and etc. Finally, with measuring three types of centrality (betweenness centrality, nearest centrality, triangle betweenness centrality) of journals, computer science journals appeared to have strong impact and subjective relations to other fields in the network.

Terminal Characteristics-Based IP Paging Strategy with Low Power Consumption for Wireless Sensor Networks (무선 센서 네트워크에 적합한 단말 특성 기반 저전력형 IP 페이징 기법)

  • IP paging strategy, one of the solutions for derived problems in IP mobility support protocol, reduces the messages and the overheads over the network, since there is not registration procedure when a mobile terminal moves into a new router within the same paging area. However, the fact that the mobile terminals with the previous strategy consume electrical power continuously for paging signal reception obstructs the application of IP paging strategy to the IP-based wireless sensor networks. In this paper, we propose a discontinuous paging reception strategy based on the characteristics of the wireless sensor networks and their mobile terminals. As a result of the mathematical analysis, the proposed strategy significantly reduces the terminals' power consumption. In addition, by setting the relating parameters as appropriate values, the proposed strategy can be switched to the continuous reception strategy, or can be adjusted to limit the terminals' power consumption or paging delay.

  • In this paper, we propose Restricted Angle-control Flooding considered density network of sensor nodes and node‘s limit energy. Restricted Angle-control Flooding, increase energy efficiency by reducing unnecessary candidate nodes involved in forwarding closer to the destination. And The Hole when faced with our proposal to raise rates data through Hole Detection which is sender‘s forwarding area is extended or broadcast to the entire network. Compared to the traditional flooding, we show the superiority at the node’s energy consumption, data rate and network lifetime through the performance.

  • 유무선 혼합 망에서 GFR서비스의 최소대역, 효율 및 트래픽 제어를 위한 버퍼관리 기법 등을 유무선 혼합망의 셀기반 네트워크에서 가중치를 높이는 시뮬레이션을 통해 공평성을 입증하는 연구를 한다. GFR서비스는 TCP/IP 패킷의 품질보장과 베스트 에포트 트래픽에 대한 최소의 대역폭 보장을 하며, 가용 대역폭에 대한 공평성 있는 대역할당을 지원해야 하기 때문에 버퍼관리를 통한 셀 폐기와 셀 스케줄링 둥이 중요한 요소이다. 본 논문에서는 유무선 혼합 네트워크에서 MCR을 보장하기 위하여 버퍼의 사용 가능한 영역의 활성 VC에 각 VC가중치를 비례해 할당하는 per-VC 어카운트에 기초한 트래픽 제어의 버퍼관리에 대한 유동적 WBA알고리즘을 제안하고 GFR 서비스의 효율 및 공평성을 유무선 혼합 망 셀 기반의 스위치를 이용하여 시뮬레이션으로 결과를 보인다.

  • 본 논문은 광역 이동컴퓨팅 환경에서 계층적인 네트워크 확장에 적합한 새로운 계층적 위치수정(Location Update)과 경로설정(Routing) 방안을 제안한다. 제안된 방안은 통신을 가장 빈번하게 요구하는 고객영역(Patron Area)의 경계에 있는 일단의 방향선회(Redirection)에이전트들로 위치수정을 제한하기 때문에 위치수정의 수를 줄이게 된다. 계층적 방향선회 개념의 적용으로 고객영역 내에서 호스트 이동에 대한 위치수정 부담이 없어진다. 가벼워진 위치수정에도 불구하고 이동호스트의 홈(Home) 네트워크의 홈 에이전트를 거치지 않고 대부분의 통신이 이루어지기 때문에 최적에 가까운 경로설정을 제공한다. 제안된 방안은 위치수정 및 경로설정의 효율성 관점에서 기존의 계층 및 비 계층 위치수정 방안과 비교 분석하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 H.264/SVC(Scalability Video Coding)를 기반으로 한 ROI(Region Of Interest) 화질 개선 방법을 제안한다. H.264/SVC는 공간적, 시간적, 화질적 확장성을 지원하고 있다. 이로 인해 네트워크 환경과 모바일 기기에 더욱 적합하게 되었다. 하지만 이러한 확장성은 객관적인 화질 개선을 고려하여 설계되었다. 본 연구는 주관적인 화질 개선을 위해 관심 영역을 설정하였으며, 이를 위하여 관심 영역을 설정하기 위한 방법과 이를 효율적으로 전송하기 위한 효과적인 전송 방법을 제안한다. 또한 기존 SVC 확장성까지도 활용하는 화질 개선 방법을 제시 한다.

  • 효율적으로 일하는 방법을 제시하는 프로젝트 관리 프레임 중의 하나인 PMBOK는 9가지 프로젝트 관리 영역의 필요성을 제시하고 있다. PMBOK 프로세스 연관도를 살펴보면, 네트워크 토폴로지의 특징인 노드, 링크, 순위, 빈도수와 관련된 유사한 면이 있는 것을 발견할 수 있다. PMBOK의 표준 프로세스 연관도에 따라 연결되는 링크를 순차적으로 그린다고 가정했을 때, 실제 업무의 프로세스 링크는 네트워크이론의 Power-law를 따를 것이라고 예상되었다. 이러한 현상을 증명하기 위해 PMBOK 표준 프로세스 연관도를 모델로 하여, 인터넷 위상의 특징을 결정하는 속성 중 Power-law1, 2의 관련성을 분석하였다.

  • The main research question of this paper is as follows: How can broadcasting both cause the crisis in democratic participation and yet also offer the solution? The contradiction in broadcast localism has never been adequately resolved in spite of regulation at all in practice, in that localism simply cannot account for the diversity of modern life and for the external forces that incorporate local communities into much larger economic and communications network. The concept of locality in local television, however, has been multiplied and enlarged in order to adjust to "time-space compression". Recently the local television have been "interface" combining and negotiating the globalization of media market and the decentralization of political power, the economies of scale and the activation of local democracy, consequently aiming at the horizontal-cooperative network instead of old vertical-dependent one.

  • As the resources and power on Ad-hoc networks are limited, new data aggregation techniques are required for energy efficiency. The current research on data aggregation techniques is actively in progress, but existing studies don't consider the density of nodes. If nodes are densely placed in a particular area, the information which the sensor nodes placed on those areas detect can be judged as very strong association. But, the energy spent transmitting this information is a waste of energy. In this paper the densely-concentrated node area is designated as Hotspot_Zone in the multi-hop clustering environment using the AMC and a key node is selected in the area. If the request message of data aggregation is transmitted, the key node among the neighboring nodes sends its environmental information to a manager to avoid duplicate sensing information. Therefore, the life of networks can be prolonged due to this.
