This study was based on the diary of George Clayton Fork, who arrived in Jeonju at 12:10 p.m. on November 10, 1884 and stayed for two nights and three days. During his stay, he was able to learn about the culture of Jeollagamyoung at that time through food, alcohol, banquets and gifts that he was treated to by gratitude. In particular, Fork added pictures and explanations of the deficiencies to its records, drawing half the breakfast table specially served by the Jeollagamyoung at 10 a.m. on Nov. 11. This is very valuable as the best and first source of knowledge of the food culture of the Joseon Dynasty in Jeonju, where no torture related to food was found. This is the result of a study that put great significance on objectively understanding the culture of Jeollagamyoung in the eyes of foreigners 135 years ago.

Environmental accounting identifies and measures environmental costs and provides them to interested parties of corporation. The purposes of this study are as follows: First, it investigates the method of measurement and the timing of recognition of environmental costs. Second, it suggests the method of disclosure of environmental costs. In order to accomplish these objectives, this study reviewed relevant literature and studies in advanced countries and Korea. The main results of this study can be summarized into four points: (1) environmental costs are classified into environmental pollution cost and environmental pollution prevention cost, by considering the sources of occurrence of, the functions of and the types of environmental costs. (2) the methods of measurement of environmental costs are various but they almost all subjective and arbitrary. So an accurate measurement of environmental cost is actually difficult. (3) According to the accrual basis, environmental costs are recognized respective to prior period adjustments, expenses or losses of the current period and the assets of the next period. (4) There are 3 methods of disclosure of environmental costs: an extension model of financial statements, a compromise model, and an original model. An extension model financial statements is easy to apply in business practice because it discloses environmental costs by adding accounts into the framework of a traditional accounting system or supplementary reports. This research can contribute to the establishment of accounting standards for environmental costs in Korea.

This paper describes a 4-state bar code called HANGUL 4 ST that has been specifically designed for automatic processing of the letter mails, A HANGUL 4 ST bar code is a necessary data base that is applied data capture and data carrier with it all the information necessary for sorting, the amount capture for transportation of mail items, and valued-added services such as indicia, tracking and trace. The 4-state bar code information contents are composed of a postal code, delivery point, customer information including customer identification number and name, and parity bits for error detect and correct. The data density capability of HANGUL 4 St allows all useful sorting data and customer data to be encoded on one label. This supports better automatic processing in mail items, higher level of customer service and more efficient operation.

DNA microarray 칩은 신약 개발, 유전적 질환 진단, Bio-molecular 상호작용 연구, 유전자의 기능연구 등 폭넓게 사용되고 있다. 이 논문은 cDNA mimcroarray 데이터를 분석하기 위한 웹형태의 시스템 개발에 대한 내용을 다룬다. 하나의 cDNA microarray에는 수 백에서 수 만개의 유전자가 심어져 있으며, 데이터를 분석할 때 대량의 데이터와 다양한 형태의 오류로 인해서 데이터간의 차이를 보정하는 분석 도구와 통계적 기법들이 사용되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 가상 칩 뷰어를 이용하여 실제 microarray 데이터의 foreground intensity에서 백그라운드의 intensity를 제거하여 일반화된 칩 이미지를 생성한다. 이 가상 칩 뷰어는 여러 가지 필터효과와 서로 다른 두 형광의 차이를 조정하는 global normalization 기법을 사용하여 발현 유전자 분석을 시각적으로 할 수 있고, 중복된 마이크로어레이 칩 데이터를 통하여 시간이 많이 걸리는 분석전 칩의 유효성을 검토할 수 있다. 칩 데이터의 normalization을 위한 통계 방법으로 R 통계 도구와 linear 모델을 사용하여 microarray 칩의 유전자 발현 양상을 분석한다. 통계적 방법을 사용하지 않은 데이터를 추출, 이 데이터의 패턴 그래프 그리고 발현 레벨을 분류하여 마이크로어레이의 각 스팟의 유효성 검토의 정확성을 높였다. 이 시스템은 칩의 유효성 검토, 스팟의 유효성 검토, 유전자 선정에 대해 분석의 용이성과 정확성을 높일 수 있었다.

This paper deals with the improving issues and methods for 119 dispatcher's work and training manual in order to improve their emergency response ability in Korea. Firstly, it was investigated and compared on manuals and training methods for the reception of emergency calls between South Korea and the USA. And then, specific improvement methods were considered by questionnaire for 95 dispatchers who work at 119 communication center in Gyeonggi-do in the basis of surveys. As a result, people and equipment related to 119 have been continuously upgraded, however, their work depend on their personal experiences and capabilities but because of the insufficient pretraining for the dispatchers. Also, the manpower is still insufficient overall compared to the work. Therefore, it is necessary to secure the expertise of the dispatchers through the systematic training program and proper training and test standards for 119 dispatchers, and to prevent errors in the logic of the situation and systematize their work by standardizing the response work and arranging appropriate manpower.

In 1969, Y.J. Yun wrote the terrestrial navigation text book that discussed earth sciences, aides to navigation, chart and publications, tide and tidal current, piloting, rhumb-line sailing, great circle sailing grounded on the hand-on background and theory. It has still been used as a principle text book in a lot of maritime academies and schools. And many contents and definitions came from other terrestrial navigation books published in the United States of America, the United Kingdom, and Japan. But some of them have caused the misunderstanding because they had no enough explanation and explained by incorrect items. In this study, we have found out the problems in the terms course and heading which are related with the direction of the vessel movement, and proposed the amended definitions in order to prevent the misunderstanding and confusion. of them.

The software of the nuclear power plant digital control system is a safety-critical system where many techniques must be applied to it in order to preserve safety in the whole system. Formal specifications especially allow the system to be clearly and completely specified in the early requirements specification phase, therefore making it a trusted method for increasing safety. In this paper, we discuss a systematic method, which generates PLC-based FBD programs from the requirements specification using NuSCR, a formal requirements specification method. This FBD programs takes an important position in design specification. The proposed method can reduce the possible errors occur in the manual design specification, and the software development cost and time. To investigate the usefulness of our proposed method, we introduce the fixed set-point rising trip example, a trip logic of BP in DPPS RPS, which is presently being developed at KNICS.

With the rapid advancement of mobile communication, mobile devices are evolving into convergence devices with various multimedia capabilities. But, high performance of devices demands complicated settings, and thus contains latent error possibilities, and poor system performance caused by the collision of different softwares. To solve these problems, device management becomes an important issue. Open Mobile Alliance(OMA) developed OMA DM(Device Management), which is a device management standard. Recently released OMA DM v1.2 provides improved mobile device management methods compared to earlier versions. This paper introduces design and implementation of OMA DM v1.2 based management agent. By using Tree and Description Serialization(TNDS) for acquiring, adding, and editing objects in the mobile devices, it provides more effective device management with small amount of network traffic.

This study examined pre-service teachers' pedagogical content knowledge of fraction division in a context where they were asked to write a story problem for a symbolic expression illustrating a whole number divided by a proper fraction. Problem-posing is an important instructional strategy with the potential to create meaningful contexts for learning mathematical concepts, especially when real-world applications are intended. In this study, story problems written by 135 elementary pre-service teachers were analyzed with respect to mathematical correctness. error types, and division models. Patterns and tendencies in elementary pre-service teachers' knowledge of fraction division were identified. Implicaitons for teaching and teacher education are discussed.

Comparing to the other subject, the relationship among physics contents is strong from the perspective of knowledge order as grades go up. That is, The things already that students learned, are learning and will learn are closed related from grade to grade. We expect students to be proactive and creative in studying physics, which is the goal of 21th century, analyzing their knowledge structure based on the knowledge order through assessment. Especially, using computer system, we provide students with substantial feedback for the assessment as well as objective validity is increased along with speedy and exact process in a bid to help students' mathematical understanding grow. This paper seeks to analyze the data from assessment applying knowledge spaces of the scientifical gifted in the force and the motion concept to applicate on teaching method.
