Development of a Paper Examination & Management System Using a WWW Database (WWW 데이터베이스를 사용한 논문심사 관리 시스템의 개발)

  • WWW(World Wide Web)의 발전은 인터넷의 대중화에 크게 기여를 했다. WWW은 쉬운 사용자 인터페이스와 다양한 멀티미디어 정보의 제공, 통일된 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스, 그리고 전세계 어디에서라도 손쉽게 접근할 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있다. WWW이 점차 발전하면서 인터넷을 통한 대용량의 멀티미디어 데이터의 처리가 필요하게 되었다. 이러한 변화에 따라 대용량의 데이터를 저장, 관리, 검색할 수 있는 데이터베이스 시스템과 WWW을 연결한 것이 WWW 데이터베이스이다. 본 논문에서는 기존에 서면으로 제출되어 심사되고 HARD COPY 형태로 보관되어 오던 논문심사 관리 과정을 개선하기 위해 WWW 데이터베이스를 사용한 논문심사 관리 시스템을 개발한다. WWW 데이터베이스를 사용함으로써 기존의 방법에서 발생되던 논문의 우편 전송 시간의 지연문제, 논문심사 시간의 지연문제, HARD COPY 논문 관리의 한계 등을 해결하였다. 본 논문에서 제시한 논문 심사 관리 시스템을 사용함으로써 학회 회원은 WWW을 이용해서 논문을 논문심사 관리 시스템 서버로 제출할 수 있다. 논문심사 과정의 내역이 데이터베이스에 저장되기 때문에 논문 제출자는 WWW을 이용해서 논문심사 결과를 조회할 수 있다.

Development of the Space Cost Breakdown Structure(CBS) for Multi-Family Housing Projects (공공아파트 건설공사의 공간별 공사비분류체계 개발)

  • As the government has enforced recently the policies on the distribution of the housing, the construction cost of multi-family housing projects has increasingly become very sensitive and political issue. However, it is difficult to predict the construction cost in planning and design phase of the project because the Bill of Quantity of the multi-family housing projects was composed of breakdown structure based on each work package. To predict the construction cost in planning and design phase for multi-family housing projects in more effective and reasonable way, this study developed the cost breakdown structure based on spaces using Delphi method. The Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) based on spaces for multi-family housing projects basically consists of three parts: (i) Building part; (ii) Non-building part; and (iii) Additional part. The characteristics of spaces in multi-family housing projects are fully taken into consideration. Then these three parts were subdivided into work packages in terms of work tasks. Additionally, the usefulness and effectiveness of Space CBS in this paper were validated by analyzing the BOQs of several collected sample projects and matching with Space CBS afterwards.

A Study on Simplified Payment Method by Progress Measurement for Specified Activity - Focusing on Construction of Eco-River (대표공종의 선정을 통한 약식 기성 산정 방법에 관한 연구 - 자연형 하천공사를 중심으로)

  • In domestic public works, there are several problems in the measurement of payments based on the bill of quantity, which doesn't match with the activity progress rate, heavy paper works and complicated procedures. It can be classified formal and simplified method. By using the simplified method, it can be solved many problems by summarizing the procedure, but is not generally used. This paper proposes a payment method by progress measurement for specified activity based on WBS(Work Breakdown Structure) verifying efficiency which reduced cost account and advanced work on payment compare to method of domestic public works using the data about construction of eco-river. This method will be an important contribution on being a base for cost-schedule integrated management which were verified and also improving efficiency on measuring payment.

Development of Defect-Repair Method-Cost Mapping Algorithm of Concrete Bridge Using BMS Data (BMS 데이터를 활용한 콘크리트 교량의 결함-공법-비용 매핑 알고리즘 개발)

  • As aged infrastructures have been increased, the importance of accurate maintenance costs and proper budget allocation for infrastructure become prominent under limited resources. This study proposed a mapping algorithm between representative defects, repair methods, and the estimated maintenance costs for concrete bridges. In this regard, using BMS (Bridge Management System) data analysis, bridge repair methods were classified and matched with defects according to their locations, types, and sizes. In addition, the maintenance costs were estimated based on the amount of work-load and quantity per unit using CSPR (Cost Standard Production Rate). As a result, the level of accuracy was an average of 85.1 % compared with the actual bill of quantity for Seoul bridge maintenance. The accuracy of maintenance costs is expected to be enhanced by considering the various site conditions such as pier height, extra charge conditions, additional equipment, etc.

  • With the growth of the EC(Electronic Commerce), Buying and selling software through the internet are expanded. Among the ESD(Electronic Software Distribution) methods, Buy-first method and TrY-before-bu1 method can not solve the illegal copy problem. Recently developed EL(Electronic License) model solve the illegal copy problem by separating the software and license. But this method also can not support various ways for payment. In this paper we propose the software license management system that is a newly form like ESD model. This system proposes NL(New License) to support various payment methods and SC(Software Charge) to insure that a seller takes the software price. Agent of the proposed system offers scalability to other systems and illegal copy protection function bv managing NL and SC.

  • Recently our government operates earned value management system (EVMS) for improving work management system of the construction projects over specific scale. The EVMS is based on the integrated management between construction cost and schedule, the existing systems, however, are focused on the cost management by using wort quantity. This study suggests a work management mode1 to integrate construction cost with activity information. The model introduces a work task concept as a tool that can connect construction cost to activity information. The suggested model in this study is verified by using actual data for the applicability to practical construction projects.

  • For deciding the profitability and feasibility of the construction project, the schematic estimation has to not only link the design decision-making but also estimate the cost with reliability. The prototype-based schematic estimation system was developed for easily linking with design-making and supports to evaluate the design alternatives in the design development stage but didn't consider the cost estimated by parameter and additional work items by users. This research presents the object-parameter based schematic estimation model in the design development stage that can lead to accurately estimate the cost by using historical data from the high-storied office buildings. For the development of the proposed model for schematic estimation, after analyzing and classifying the work items from the Bills of Quantities(BOQs) and drawings of historical data, this research proposed the methods of estimating cost in accordance with attributes of each work item. In addition, a case study is performed for the effectiveness as comparing the previous estimating method with the proposed model.

  • Indexes have played an important role as a economic indicator or performance indicator in many industries for a long time. In construction industry, indexes, or Construction Cost Index(CCI), have been used to compensate for the gap of time in Estimate Using the Historical Cost Data from Feb. 2004. CCI is composed of index formula and resources. Existing literatures had used Laspyeres Index as a index formula. And, Leontief table, the bills of quantities, and information of price surveyor were used as a resource. When applying Laspyeres formula and the resources to calculating the CCI, the problems such as double application of price fluctuation, calculating the incorrect weights, may be generated. This paper analyzed the existing economic relevant indexes as well as Laspyeres formula. Thus, feasibility of them was analyzed using three practical cases of apartments. And then, Quantity based Base Period Price Index(QBPPI) was developed to consider the characteristics of construction more accurately.

Analysis of Loss Costs and Risk Reserve due to Risk Events for Aircraft Runway Construction (활주로 건설공사의 위험사건에 따른 손실비용 및 위험예비비 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to derive risk events that occurred during aircraft runway construction and analyze loss costs for project participants. For this purpose, design change data, contracted statement and completed statement were investigated. The results of this study are as follows: There were 12 risk events in the process of construction, 5 design errors and 7 construction errors. The increased construction costs due to such risk events were calculated as KRW 726 million. Of the KRW 726 million that was increased due to risk events, about 52.57% was spent by the ordering agency, and about 47.43% contractors. The increased construction costs due to such risk events are about 4.86% of the direct construction costs of KRW 14.9 billion. Based on the results derived from these case studies, a method for estimating reserve costs and construction costs considering risk events is presented.
