A Study on the Corporate Internal Factors Influencing the Motivation and Performance for Overseas Expansion of Korean Ventures (한국 벤처기업의 기업가정신과 기업내부상황특성이 해외진출에 미치는 영향에 관한 탐색적 연구)

  • This study is to determine the key factors of internal situational characteristics, affecting the motivation and performance for overseas expansion of Korean venture business in global markets and to investigate the moderating effect of them on the relationship between entrepreneurship and overseas expansion. To meet the research purpose, by reviewing previous researches, we categorized internal factors into four situational factors of firm size with sales growth, firm age with main product's life cycle, overseas experience and organizational structure and into three entrepreneurship sub-categories of innovativeness, pro-activeness and risk-taking. As result of the statistical analysis of 289 small and medium-sized enterprises with Korean Venture Certificate, it is verified that the motivation for globalization has been influenced by firm size, entrepreneurship, and overseas experience. On the other hand, all factors excepting firm size have positive effects on globalization performance overseas. And, it also verified that there are positive moderating effects of internal situational factors on the relationship of entrepreneurship and the performance of globalization, wheres overseas experience only plays positive moderating effects on the relationship between entrepreneurship and the motivation of globalization. On the basis of these results, we discussed and suggested practical and political issues and implications in order to vitalize globalization of Korean SMEs in the conclusion.

Impact of Internal Communication of Organizations on Collaborative Performance and Organizational Effectiveness: focusing on the Moderationg Effect of Online Communication Tools for Collaboration (조직 내부 커뮤니케이션이 협업성과와 조직효과성에 미치는 영향: 온라인 커뮤니케이션 협업도구의 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • This study aimed to examine the impact of internal communication(IC) on collaborative performance(CP) and organizational effectiveness(OE), and the moderating effect of online communication tools. First, IE and RS, ISI, RS, and COMN had a significant impact on ISI, Perf, respectively. The all factors of CP affected JS and OC. Second, IE, COMN, and RS influenced OC through CC and Perf. Third, online cooperative tools for collaboration have been moderated between RS and ISI, CoW and CC, IE and Perf, Perf and JS, repectively- IE(Infromation Exchange), CoW(Collaboration Work), Communication(COMN), Relationship(RS), Information Sharing Intention(ISI), CC(Collaboration Culture), Perf(Performance), JS(job satisfactino), and OC(Organization Commiment). These results could provide one implication for the establishment and utilization of online communication collaboration tools that take into account internal communication components within the organization.

The Mediating Effect of Network Embeddedness on Investment Performance of Multinational Manufacturers in China (중국시장에 진출한 다국적제조기업의 투자성과에 미치는 네트워크 배태성의 매개효과 실증분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to demonstrate how internal capability adjustments made by subsidiaries in response to local market adaption and market changes, together with the use of internal and external networks, have an impact on the investment performance of such subsidiaries. From the empirical results, it was proven that the larger the extent of internal capability adjustment made by subsidiaries, and the more quickly and flexibly it is implemented, the more positive the investment performance is. The empirical findings also showed that in this process, the use of internal/external network embeddedness has a positive mediating impact on the investment performance. Additionally, the results of statistical analysis support the research hypothesis that external embeddedness has a greater mediating influence on multinational manufacturing companies entering Chinese market than internal embeddedness. It implies to the top managers of subsidiaries that the subsidiary should actively utilize external embeddedness to create a new locational competitive advantage in the local region, as well as develop a strategy to reduce foreignness costs such as cost of adapting to the local system.

  • Unlike previous studies that have looked at ESG management and ESG performance from a consumer perspective, this study aims to examine the relationship between attitudes toward ESG and ESG performance perception from the perspective of internal customers who are members of the organization. To this end, the impact of internal members' perceptions of the importance of each ESG area on the organization's ESG management necessity and performance perception was summarized into three research questions and the impact was identified using a structural equation model. As a result of the study, internal customers highly recognized the organization's ESG management needs when they recognized the E (environmental) and G (governance) areas as important, but there was no significant relationship with the ESG management needs in the S (social) area (Research Question 1). In addition, the relationship between the perception of importance in each ESG area and the organization's ESG management needs was found to be little different depending on internal customers' interest in ESG, the degree of ESG knowledge, and age (Research Question 2). Finally, it was found that internal customers who highly perceive the organization's ESG management needs were also positively aware of the organization's ESG performance level.

  • CSA(Control Self Assessment) is a new internal control technique whose objective is to control the human resource performance, the manager's philosophy, the business ethics, the effective communication and decision making etc. The purpose of this study is to find out if the CSA improve the quality of internal control. With the questionnaire method the following conclusions are reached. 1) Level of the management supports influence the level of the workshop participation. 2) Anonymity during the workshop session influences the level of workshop participation. 3) Level of the organizational committment influences the level of the participation 4) The level of workshop performance significantly influences the level of internal contro improvement.

  • This study aims to identify the characteristics of the regional innovation system(RIS) and the determinants of innovation performance of SMEs. Data were collected from a questionnaire survey on 64 SMEs in the Daejeon and Chungcheong regions to uncover the relationship between capabilities, regional innovation capacities and innovation performance. The moderating effects of regional innovation capacities on the relationship between firms' innovation capabilities and performance were also tested. Empirical results revealed that R&D, marketing and entrepreneurial orientation had positive effects. The moderating effect of regional innovation capabilities on the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation (risk taking) and performance was also confirmed.

  • 본 논문에서는 기술자격시스템에 대한 관리 운영상의 효율성을 향상시키기 위하여 내부관리시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다. 비정기성 기술자격시스템은 정보처리 관련기업에 개발 및 구현에 대한 전체적인 사항을 위탁업무로 수행하고 처리 결과에 대한 자료를 시행기관에서 인수하여 내부업무를 처리한다. 이러한 관리체계는 추가적 요구정보에 대한 재처리에 많은 문제점을 내포한다. 부가적인 추가적 요구사항에 대하여 재개발 절차가 필요하며 효율적인 업무처리와 관리체계를 수행하는데 불안정한 요소들을 가지고 있는바, 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위한 방안으로 특수 자격 분야에 시범적으로 적용한 내부관리시스템을 제안하였다. 제안된 내부관리 시스템의 기능 평가는 시뮬레이션 방식으로 최소 규모의 파일럿시스템에서 구현 기술을 적용하고 검증 한 후 실시간 기술자격 시험에 시범 적용한 결과 처리 과정상의 안정성과 실용성이 인증되어 대단위 자격시스템에 확대 적용할 계획이다. 위탁기관과 연계하여 부가적 요구정보 처리 시 발생되는 추가 개발기간에 대한 문제점을 해결하였으며 안정적인 시스템 운영상태와 최대의 효율성을 보여주었다. 특히 내부관리시스템을 사용하는 전문가와 비전문가그룹으로 이루어진 자격시행기관의 시스템 평가에서 사용자 편리성과 확장성 부문에 탁월한 평가를 도출하였다. 본 논문에서 설계 및 구현한 내부관리 시스템은 다양한 방식과 구성요소를 통합하여 공통영역을 표준화 한 후, 체계적으로 실시간 자격관리시스템에 적용 될 수 있을 것으로 분석되었다.

  • 지식 네트워크 (knowledge network) 구축은 지식의 재사용을 통하여 조식의 효율성을 개선시키고 지식 레버리지를 통하여 혁신을 촉진한다는 점에서 지식관리의 핵심적 요소이다. 본 연구는 (1) 개인이 집단 내 외에서 맺고 있는 지식 네트워크가 팀의 객관적, 주관적 성과에 미치는 영향을 고찰하고, (2) IT 활용이 지식 네트워크의 효과성을 어떻게 조절하는 가에 대해서 실증 함으로써, (3) 지식 네트워크 구축, IT 활용, 그리고 팀 성과 간의 관계에 대하여 학문적, 실무적 시사점을 제시하고자 한다. 먼저 사회 네트워크 이론을 바탕으로 지식 네트워크의 집단 내부 결속과 외부 매개성을 통합하는 이론적 프레임워크를 개발하고 국내 5개 컨설팅 업체의 172명의 컨설턴트와 42개 프로젝트 팀을 대상으로 사회 네트워크 분석 (Social Network Analysis)을 실시하였다. 분석 결과는 지식 네트워크의 내부 결속(네트워크의 밀도)과 팀 성과의 선형적인 관계를 지지하였으며, 외부 매개성은 직접적으로 팀 성과에 영향을 미치지 않았으나 팀 수준의 IT 활용 (공동체적인 컴퓨터 매체의 활용)과 상호작용을 통해서 팀의 성과를 실질적으로 향상시키는 것으로 나타났다.

  • As the service market is increasingly competitive, internal marketing, marketing orientation, and customer satisfaction are becoming a crucial issue to the survival and growth of the service firms. This Study examined the structure modeling of internal marketing, market orientation, and customer satisfaction to verify the relationship among construct variables. Conslusively, the higher degree of internal marketing and market orientation, the higher degree of customer satisfaction. Specifically, The positive impact of internal marketing, customer orientation and competitor orientation on customer satisfaction is verified respectively. But, the impact of interfunctional coordination on customer satisfaction is rejected. The company is required to intensify interfunctional coordination in company operation process to boost sustainable competative advantage.
