The survey records consisted of demographic, prenatal, and obstetrics characteristics, and the data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, Independent Sample T-test, and Chi-square test using the SPSS 23.0 program. The results were as follows. The prenatal and delivery characteristics of married immigrant women showed significantly increased inadequate weight gain during pregnancy, pregnancy complications, premature birth, low birth weight infants, and low apgar score. • This study aimed to identify the effect of resilience and positive psychological capital on hospital nurses' professional quality of life. A cross-sectional survey design was utilized to investigate 221 general hospital nurses from June 1 to 30, 2021. Professional quality of life (ProQOL), which is conceptualized with three sub-dimensions (compassion satisfaction, burnout, and secondary traumatic stress), resilience, and positive psychological capital variables were measured. There was a positive relationship between compassion satisfaction and resilience, positive psychological capital, and a negative relationship among burnout, secondary traumatic stress, and the other variables in this study. The main factors influencing compassion satisfaction were resilience, and positive psychological capital, which explained about 47% of compassion satisfaction. Burnout was influenced by resilience, positive psychological capital, and work pattern, and these variables explained about 37% of burnout. Notably, it was found that resilience was the most crucial factor in nurses' compassion satisfaction, and positive psychological capital was the most crucial factor in nurses' burnout. Thus, it is suggested to develop and verify the effectiveness of a resilience improvement program and positive psychological intervention program to strengthen the internal resources of hospital nurses.

All data were collected and conducted with the cooperation of the nursing service department in a tertiary general hospital and two general hospitals located in G province. Questionnaires were completed by 195 nurses who consented to participation in the study from 7 to 28 April 2014. Data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0. A highly positive relationship (r=0.624, p<0.001, r=0.612, p<0.001) was observed between emotional intelligence and quality of nursing service in the superior general hospitals and the general hospitals. Based on this study, quality of nursing service could be improved by a positive relationship between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction in the superior general hospitals and general hospitals (r=0.430, p<0.001). Therefore, it is important to provide a good occupational environment and develop educational programs to enhance the emotional intelligence of nurses, and a positive measure focused on less experienced and young nurses to improve emotional intelligence.

  • The aim of this study is to take hold of the present situation as well as the perspective of the domestic alcohol specialized hospitals. The structured questionnaire was prepared to understand the type of services, manpower and systematic programs. Among eight hospitals that stand for the alcohol addiction specialized hospitals, six hospitals agreed to participate in the survey, which was made from Jun. 17 to July 15, 2010. The average number of beds of the surveyed hospitals was 208. They were mostly private ones(66.7%), located in urban area(50%), and had experiences of alcohol treatment less than five years(50%). While all of them practiced both the inpatient and outpatient services, only 33% provided the systematic outpatient program that was at least 2 or 3 hours per week. All hospitals practiced the physical and individual psychological evaluations, but only 16.1% had the daytime programs. The beds of protective ward were 72% of all beds, and the beds of night and day occupied 7.6% and 2.6% respectively. It was found that although the average number of mental health social worker and mental health nurse was larger than that required in the regulation of mental health law there are significant deviations between hospitals. However, the manpower of psychiatrists and nurses were comparatively large. The first problem indicated by clinical experts was the patient's refusal of care, which results in an inefficiency in the treatment. The next problem was the lack of local health care institutions that can attend on the discharged patients were important issues. Also the low reimbursement and indifferences to the alcohol abuse were considered as important issues.

To achieve that, it conducted a survey with an unsigned self-reported questionnaire to the subject of 580 workers at hospitals located in Daejeon. The degree of practice in the subjects' health promoting lifestyle, the average of the entire questions was 2.26 points and the average of sub-sections was as in the following: 2.62 for interpersonal relations, 2.58 for spiritual growth, 2.26 for nutrition, 2.16 for stress management, 2.00 for health responsibility and 1.89 for physical activity Thus, the section of interpersonal relations showed the highest practice rate, whereas the section of physical activity demonstrated the lowest one. According to the multivariate regression analysis by phase, main factors affecting their health promoting lifestyle practice were selected as stress, attendance in education on health promotion, subjective heath condition, and age. The above results imply that general hospital workers' health promoting lifestyle practice is not sufficient and various factors are involved in it. Accordingly, it is considered that in order to enhance general hospital workers' attention to health promoting lifestyle practice, it is necessary to develop health promoting strategies and programs.
