Typical lebvels of heavy metal exposure for humans may be attributed to four components in the environment ; food, inhaled air, various types of dust, and drinking water. To assess the health risk of lead, it is necessary to estimate the blood lead levels in the populations of concern under various air lead concentrations. The blood lead levels of the population in Seoul and Yeoju are estimated by Biokinetic model for the risk assessment in this study. The differences in blood lead levels between areas of different land use are not dominant but some differences show among different age groups and sex. Blood lead levels of the population show log normal distribution. The geometric standard deviation values of blood lead levels are in the range of 1.25 ~ 1.39, it is somewhat smaller than the values in the general U.S pollution which are determined to be from 1.31 to 1.41 by the U.S. EPA.

This study aimed to explore the life experiences of middle-aged and older women with disabilities using the photovoice method. Six middle-aged and older women with physical disabilities or brain lesions selected four themes through group discussion and shared their experiences using photos they took that reflect the four themes: my worsening health and the way I manage my health (identifying red flags for ill health, trying to coping with poor health), my leisure life (my limited leisure activities, enjoying my own leisure time), my social participation (participating in social activities that give me pleasure, participating in social activities to help make a better society), and my later life (worryingabout financial hardships and being alone in my later life, hoping for happiness in my later life). Study findings indicate the value of services and policies for middle-aged and older women with disabilities that provide guidance for health management and psychological counseling, extend opportunities for leisure and community participation, and provide skill training and educational programs for promoting financial and emotional independence in later life.

일반적으로 로켓 추진기관이라고 하면 외부로부터의 산소 공급없이, 추진제라고 불리는 물질이 연소할 때 발생하는 고온 고압의 연소가스를 고속으로 노즐로 통과시켜 추력을 얻는기관을 말 한다. 연소는 산소와의 화합반응이 급격히 일어날 때 일어나는 현상이므로 외부로부터 산소공 급이 없다는 것은, 추진제 자체에서 산소공급이 가능하다는 것을 의미한다. 즉, 추진제는 그 자 체가 흔히 말하는 연료성분과 산소를 공급할 수 있는 산소화합물을 같이 묶어둔 물질이어야 한다. 그러나 지구를 둘러싸고 있는 대기에는 산소가 20%나 포함되어 있으며, 이 무궁무진한 산소를 이용하지 않는다는 것은 여러 면에서 손실임을 쉽게 알 수 있을 것이다. 그럼에도 불구 하고 이를 이용하지 못하고 있었음은 그 나름대로의 어려움이 있었기 때문일 것이다. 그러나 인간의 노력과 연구로 불가능했던 많은 사실도 가능하게 된 것이 헤아릴 수 없이 많아지고 있음 또한 주지의 사실이다. 로켓 추진기관 분야에서도 순수 연료 성분만을 로켓에 탑재하고 산소는 흡입되는 대기중의 것을 이용하자는 것이 새로운 연구분야로 각광을 얻고 있으며, 실제로 이러한 방법이 실용화되고 있다. 이와 같이 흡입공기를 산소원으로 하는 추진기관을 총칭 램제트 추진 기관이라고 한다.

Appearance characteristics based on the daily mean air temperature (DMAT) were evaluated to obtain the fundamental data for the safety of dry-seeded rice under the local climatic conditions. The climatic data of 56 meteorological stations throughout Korea were applied for determination of the effective standard temperature at the emergence. The first appearance date at the DMAT 1$0^{\circ}C$ was found to be 20~30 days (standard deviation: 5~7 days) for year fluctuation and 4\geq$30 days for regional change in Pusan and Taegwallyong. Mean appearance date of it, also, was 10 days earlier than that of its 80% chance. Seeding date at the early critical seedling emergence was April 11 for Suwon, March 31 for Kwangju, April 1 for Taegu and April 7 for Kangnung.

Objectives：To review the history of the development and current status of Korean Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and to propose the future tasks at this 20th anniversary of Korean Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Methods：Records and publications of Korean Academy, personal communications with senior members of the Academy, the author's recollections and memoirs. Results：Korean Child Psychiatry started with opening Child Psychiatry Clinic at Seoul National University Hospital in 1979 and establishing Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the same hospital in 1980. A Child Psychiatry Study Group was formed in 1983 and it transformed into Korean Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in 1986. In the past 20 years, Korean child and adolescent psychiatry made an impressive progress and contributed significantly to the development of Korean medicine as well as to the establishment of child mental health service. There are 77 board-certified and 48 board-eligible child psychiatrists, and 18 child psychiatry fellows are in training as of 2003. Main forces of this successful introduction of child psychiatry are 1) 7 child psychiatry training centers at major university hospitals, 2) publication of Korean Journal of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in 1990, 3) the establishment child psychiatry board certification system in 1996. Korean child psychiatry has extended its role in the international child psychiatry and took leadership in establishing Asian Society of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions(ASCAPAP). Conclusion：Korean child psychiatry has achieved a remarkable progress for the past 20 years and is currently producing 15 or more child psychiatry each year. However, there are needs of more active involvements in adolescent problems, more active consultation-liaison services at general hospitals as well as community mental health institutions. More school consultation and preventive educational services are desired. There is a urgent need of carrying out more empirical studies with strong scientific rigor. Korean Academy should pay attention and provide assistance to the development of child psychiatry service in other countries in Asia.

1990년 나카무라 연구팀에서 청색이 개발된 이래로 LED는 눈부시게 발전해 왔으며, 청색 LED로 인하여 조명용 백색 LED가 급격히 발전하고 있다. 현재까지 개발되고 있는 조명용 백색 LED는 통상적으로 c축 방향의 사파이어 기판위에 GaN film을 성장하여 제작하지만 원천적으로 생기는 자발분극과 압전분극 영향 때문에 양자우물에서의 밴드를 기울게 만들고 이것은 캐리어 재결합율을 감소시켜 그 결과 양자 효율을 낮춘다. 이러한 근본적인 문제를 해결하기 방안은 사파이어 기판에서 c-plane이외의 결정면에서 무분극(혹은 반극성) GaN LED를 성장하여 양자효율을 극대화하여 고효율 LED를 구현할 수 있음. 본 연구에서는 Carbonization mask를 이용하여 r-plane sapphire기판상에 a-plane GaN의 ELOG성장 방법에 대하여 연구하였다. Carbonization mask를 이용하면 기존에 사용되던 SiOx 나 SiNx 막을 사용하지 않고 mask를 만들 수 있다는 장점을 가지고 있으며, 이러한 mask를 이용하여 r-plane sapphire위에 ELOG법을 이용한 a-plane GaN을 성장할 수 있음을 실험을 통해 보이려 한다. ELOG 성장이 이루어 지는지 확인을 위하여 SEM을 통하여 ELOG가 되는 과정을 분석하였으며, 표면의 거칠기를 알아보기 위하여 AFM측정을 시행하였다. 실험 결과 약 20 um 두께로 성장되면서 merge가 되는 것을 확인 하였다.
