Study on the TiO2-Ag Nanoparticle Coated PET Fabric with an Atomizer (아토마이저를 이용한 PET 직물의 TiO2-Ag 나노입자 코팅 연구)

  • In this study, $TiO_2$ and Ag powders were deposited on the PET fabric using an atomizer in order to study the characteristics of particle deposited fabric. To improve the particle deposition, the surface of the fabric was pre-treated with an electron beam and its effect was studied with the deposition of those elements on the fabric. The SEM was used to observe the morphology of the deposition fabric and through the EDS analysis, the deposition of $TiO_2$ and Ag was confirmed. Also, the absorbance of the particle deposited fabric was measured using the Methylene Blue to verify the photolysis nature of $TiO_2$. Moreover, the antibiotic nature of Ag on the surface of the PET fabric was identified through the antibiosis test.

Properties of Static Dissipative Epoxy Composites Loaded with Silane Coupled-ATO Nanoparticles (Silane Coupling제로 표면 처리된 ATO 나노입자를 이용하여 제조된 대전방지 ATO/EPOXY 복합체의 코팅 물성)

  • For purpose of anti-static film remaining unchanged in the condition of $160^{\circ}C$, organic solvent, acid and base solution $0.01\sim0.03{\mu}m$ particles of Sb doped tin oxide(ATO) were grafted by 3-Glycidyloxypropyltrimethoxysilane(GPTS) for improving interfere bonding force between ATO and epoxy resin. The particles were dispersed in 2-methoxyethanol with YD-I28(Bisphenol A type epoxy resin, Kukdo chemical) and 1-imidazole as hardener. The anti-static solutions were coated on PI film as thickness of $0.1{\mu}m$. Surface resistivity of anti-static film containing conductive polymer became $10^{12}\Omega/\Box$ after 32 hours in $160^{\circ}C$. The surface resistivity of ATO grafted by GPTS / Epoxy coating layer remained as $10^{7.6}\Omega/\Box$ in $160^{\circ}C$ for 7 days. ATO grafted by GPTS / Epoxy coating layer coated on PI film was dipped in acetone for 7 days. The surface resistivity remained unchanged as $10^{7.6}\Omega/\Box$. The anti-static layer dipped in water solutions containing each KOH 10 wt % and $H_2SO_4$ 2 wt% was ultra-sonicated for 10 minutes per once until 30th. The surface resistance of anti-static layer containing ATO grafted by GPTS remained unchanged.

Fabrication of Ceramic Line Pattern by UV-Nanoimprint Lithography of Inorganic Polymers (무기고분자의 나노임프린트법에 의한 세라믹 선형 패턴의 제조)

  • The SiC-based ceramic nanopatterns were prepared by placing polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) mold from DVD master on the spincoated polyvinylsilaeane (PVS) or allylhydridopolycaybosilane (AHPCS) as ceramic precursors to fabricate line pattern via UV-nanoimprint lithography (UV-NIL), and subsequent pyrolysis at $800^{\circ}C$ in nitrogen atmosphere. As the dimensional change of polymeric and ceramic patterns was comparatively investigated by AFM and SEM, the shrinkage in height was 38.5% for PVS derived pattern and 24.1% for AHPCS derived pattern while the shrinkage in width was 18.8% for PVS and 16.7% for AHPCS. It indicates that higher ceramic yield of the ceramic precursor resulted in less shrinkage, and the strong adhesion between the substrate and the pattern caused anisotropic shrinkage. This preliminary work suggests that NIL is a promissing route for fabricating ceramic MEMS devices, with the development on the shrinkage control.

Synthesis and Surface Properties of Hierarchical SiO2 Coating Layers by Forming Au Nanoparticles (금 나노입자 형성을 이용한 계층구조 SiO2 코팅층의 제조 및 표면 특성)

  • Superhydrophobic $SiO_2$ layers with a micro-nano hierarchical surface structure were prepared. $SiO_2$ layers deposited via an electrospray method combined with a sol-gel chemical route were rough on the microscale. Au particles were decorated on the surface of the microscale-rough $SiO_2$ layers by use of the photo-reduction process with different intensities ($0.11-1.9mW/cm^2$) and illumination times (60-240 sec) of ultraviolet light. With the aid of nanoscale Au nanoparticles, this consequently resulted in a micro-nano hierarchical surface structure. Subsequent fluorination treatment with a solution containing trichloro(1H,2H,2H,2H-perfluorooctyl)silane fluorinated the hierarchical $SiO_2$ layers. The change in surface roughness factor was in good agreement with that observed for the water contact angle, where the surface roughness factor developed as a measure needed to evaluate the degree of surface roughness. The resulting $SiO_2$ layers revealed excellent repellency toward various liquid droplets with different surface tensions ranging from 46 to 72.3 mN/m. Especially, the micro-nano hierarchical surface created at an illumination intensity of $0.11mW/cm^2$ and illumination time of 60 sec showed the largest water contact angle of $170^{\circ}$. Based on the Cassie-Baxter and Young-Dupre equations, the surface fraction and work of adhesion for the micronano hierarchical $SiO_2$ layers were evaluated. The work of adhesion was estimated to be less than $3{\times}10^{-3}N/m$ for all the liquid droplets. This exceptionally small work of adhesion is likely to be responsible for the strong repellency of the liquids to the micro-nano hierarchical $SiO_2$ layers.

Formation of Uniform SnO2 Coating Layer on Carbon Nanofiber by Pretreatment in Atomic Layer Deposition (전처리를 이용한 탄소 나노 섬유의 균일한 SnO2 코팅막 형성)

  • Carbon nanofibers (CNF) are widely used as active agents for electrodes in Li-ion secondary battery cells, supercapacitors, and fuel cells. Nanoscale coatings on CNF electrodes can increase the output and lifespan of battery devices. Atomic layer deposition (ALD) can control the coating thickness at the nanoscale regardless of the shape, suitable for coating CNFs. However, because the CNF surface comprises stable C-C bonds, initiating homogeneous nuclear formation is difficult because of the lack of initial nucleation sites. This study introduces uniform nucleation site formation on CNF surfaces to promote a uniform $SnO_2$ layer. We pretreat the CNF surface by introducing $H_2O$ or $Al_2O_3$ (trimethylaluminum + $H_2O$) before the $SnO_2$ ALD process to form active sites on the CNF surface. Transmission electron microscopy and energy-dispersive spectroscopy both identify the $SnO_2$ layer morphology on the CNF. The $Al_2O_3$-pretreated sample shows a uniform $SnO_2$ layer, while island-type $SnO_x$ layers grow sparsely on the $H_2O$-pretreated or untreated CNF.

Nanocrystalline Diamond Coating on Steel with SiC Interlayer (철강 위에 SiC 중간층을 사용한 나노결정질 다이아몬드 코팅)

  • Nanocrystalline diamond(NCD) films on steel(SKH51) has been investigated using SiC interlayer film. SiC was deposited on SKH51 or Si wafer by RF magnetron sputter. NCD was deposited on SiC at $600^{\circ}C$ for 0.5~4 h employing microwave plasma CVD. Film morphology was observed by FESEM and FIB. Film adherence was examined by Rockwell C adhesion test. The growth rate of NCD on SiC/Si substrate was much higher than that on SiC/SKH51. During particle coalescence, NCD growth rate was slow since overall rate was determined by the diffusion of carbon on SiC surface. After completion of particle coalescence, NCD growth became faster with the reaction of carbon on NCD film controlling the whole process. In the case of SiC/SKH51 substrate, a complete NCD film was not formed even after 4 h of deposition. The adhesion test of NCD/SiC/SKH51 samples revealed a delamination of film whereas that of SiC/SKH51 showed a good adhesion. Many voids of less than 0.1 ${\mu}m$ were detected on NCD/SiC interface. These voids were believed as the reason for the poor adhesion between NCD and SiC films. The origin of voids was due to the insufficient coalescence of diamond particles on SiC surface in the early stage of deposition.

Effects of Microstructures and Interfaces between $BaTiO_3$ Thin Films and Substrates on Electrical Properties in Aerosol Deposition Method (Aerosol Deposition Method으로 성막한 $BaTiO_3$ 박막과 기판과의 계면 및 미세구조가 전기적 특성에 미치는 영향)

  • 최근 이동 통신 분야에서 전자기기들의 고주파화와 소형화에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 고주파 소자로서 필수적으로 사용 되어온 디커플링 캐패시터도 이 두 가지 요구를 만족시키기 위해 기존의 표면 실장형에서 평판 형태인 기판 내장형 캐패시터로 발전해 가고 있다. 이를 실현하기 위한 공정법으로 Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramics (LTCCs)와 polymer composite등의 연구가 진행되고 있으나 LTCCs는 높은 공정온도에 의한 내부 확산과 서로 다른 열팽창 계수에 의한 소결후의 수축과 같은 단점들을 가지고 있으며 polymer composite 은 비교적 낮은 공정온도에도 불구하고 유전특성과 방열특성이 우수하지 못한 문제점을 가지고 있었다. 이러한 단점들을 극복하기 위해 Aerosol Deposition Method (ADM)를 주목하게 되었다. 이 공정 법은 상온 저 진공 분위기에서 세라믹 분말을 기판에 고속 분사시켜 기공과 균열이 거의 없는 치밀한 나노구조의 세라믹을 제작하는 새로운 코팅기술이다. 본 연구에서는 고주파용 디커플링 캐패시터의 응용을 위하여 상온에서 높은 유전율을 가지며 강유전체 물질인 $BaTiO_3$를 사용하였다. 출발원료로서 0.45 ${\mu}m$크기의 $BaTiO_3$ 분말을 이용하여 상온에서 submicron에서 수 micron의 두께로 성막하였다. 그러나 ADM으로 $BaTiO_3$ 막을 성막할 경우 유전율이 100이하로 급격히 떨어지는 현상이 기존 연구에서 보고되어 왔으며 본 연구에서도 이를 확인하였다. 디커플링 캐패시터의 밀도를 높이기 위해서 유전체의 유전율을 높이거나 두께를 앓게 하는 방법이 있으나 이번 연구에서는 박막화에 초점을 맞추어 진행하였다. 하지만 $BaTiO_3$ 막의 두께를 $1{\mu}m$이하의 박막으로 제조했을 경우 XRD 분석을 통하여 결정상이 얻어졌음을 확인했음에도 불구하고 유전체로서의 특성을 보이지 않았다. 이 원인을 $BaTiO_3$ 박막의 누설전류에 의한 것이라고 판단하고 $BaTiO_3$ 박막과 기판과의 계면 및 미세구조를 확인하였으며 이것이 전기적 특성에 미치는 영향에 대해 분석하였다.

Roll-type Micro Contact Printing for Fine Patterning of Metal Lines on Large Plastic Substrate (대면적 미세 금속전극 인쇄를 위한 원통형 마이크로 접촉 인쇄공정)

  • This paper is related to a roll-type micro-contact printing process. The proper parameters such as coating velocity, inking velocity, printing velocity and printing pressure as well as Ag contents of Ag ink were extracted to perform the fine patterning of Ag electrodes. Additionally we developed a process for PDMS with high uniform thickness. Finally, we obtained the Ag fine electrodes on $4.5cm\;{\times}\;4.5cm$ plastic substrate with the line width of 10 um, thickness less than 300 nm, surface roughness less than 40 nm, and the specific resistance of $2.08\;{\times}\;10^{-5}{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$.

폴리이미드 필름의 초발수화를 통한 금속배선화 공정 개발

  • 전자 디스플레이 산업의 중요성과 미래사회에서 요구되는 정보기기로써 유연한 기판을 사용한 소자에 대한 수요가 급격히 증가하고 있으며, 이들 산업에 응용되기 위해서는 저비용, 고생산 공정이 요구되고 있다. 이를 위해 인쇄전자 기술에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 특히, 금속배선은 모든 소자의 기본이면서 낮은 저항과 높은 신뢰성을 동시에 요구하고 있어 인쇄전자 기술이 해결해야 할 가장 어려운 난제 중의 하나이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 낮은 저항과 높은 신뢰성을 만족시킬 수 있는 새로운 금속배선 공정으로서 폴리이미드 필름을 초발수 처리한 후 친수 패턴을 하여 전도성 잉크에 함침함으로서 친수 패턴을 따라 금속배선이 이루어 지도록 하는 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 폴리이미드 필름의 표면을 플라즈마 처리하여 표면에 나노돌기를 형성시키고 불소기를 함유한 코팅층을 형성시킴으로써 물에 대한 접촉각이 $150^{\circ}$이상이 되도록 초발수 처리할 수 있었다. 초발수 처리된 폴리이미드 기판에 쉐도우 마스크를 사용하여 UV조사함으로써 조사된 부분만 친수성을 가지는 패턴을 형성하였다. 이렇게 친수 패턴이 제작된 초발수 폴리이미드 유연기판을 실버잉크에 함침함으로써 선폭 $200{\mu}m$를 가지는 금속배선을 형성시켰다. 형성된 금속배선의 단면 형상을 측정하였으며, 열처리를 통하여 비저항이 $30{\mu}{\Omega}$-cm를 얻을 수 있었다. 통상 1회의 함침으로는 금속배선의 두께가 150nm정도로 금속배선으로 사용하기에는 얇아 배선의 두께를 증가시키기 위하여 수 회 함침을 시도하여 $2{\mu}m$의 두께로 증가시킬 수 있었다. 이때 선폭과 선간 간격은 크게 변하지 않고 두께만 증가시킬 수 있었다. 이는 금속배선을 형성한 후에도 폴리이미드 유연기판의 초발수성은 그대로 유지되어 여러번 함침할 때 잉크가 이미 형성된 배선에만 묻게 되어 두께는 증가하나 선폭과 선간 간격은 증가하지 않는 것으로 판단된다. 사용한 실버잉크는 실버의 함량은 10~20wt%인 수계 잉크였다.

A Study on the Heat Transfer and Durability of Carbon Nano Coating for the Safety Improvement of a Pool Boiling System (비등 열전달 시스템의 안정성 향상을 위한 탄소나노튜브 코팅의 열전달 및 내구성에 대한 연구)

  • In this study, we investigated to the heat transfer performance of coating nano-structure with various shapes and patterns on the heat transfer surface. As a result of the measurement of the 3D nano shape, it was confirmed that the roughness generally increases when the adhesive is sprayed on the coating surface and finished durability experiment. In the case of TEOS adhesive, the roughness increased by $0.074{\mu}m$, $0.012{\mu}m$ and $0.015{\mu}m$, and the contact angle decreased $12.64^{\circ}$, $1.31^{\circ}$, $9.84^{\circ}$ at the coating time of 120 seconds, 180 seconds and 240 seconds, respectively. In the case of PVA adhesive, the roughness increased by $0.069{\mu}m$, $0.056{\mu}m$ and $0.03{\mu}m$, and the contact angle decreased $2.85^{\circ}$, $4.82^{\circ}$, $6.96^{\circ}$ at the coating time of 120 seconds, 180 seconds and 240 seconds, respectively. In the case of DGEBF adhesive, the roughness increased by $0.042{\mu}m$, $0.053{\mu}m$ and $0{\mu}m$, and the contact angle decreased $0.81^{\circ}$ at the coating time of 120 seconds, increased $4.82^{\circ}$, $6.96^{\circ}$ at the coating time of 180 seconds and 240 seconds, respectively. As a result, the durability tends to decrease as more nano-structures are deposited, and 3D nano shapes, contact angles and SEM photographs showed that the performance of the PVA adhesive was superior among the three adhesives.
