  • 사람 사이의 가장 간단한 의사 표현인 긍정/부정을 뇌파를 통해 분별하려는 작업의 첫걸음으로 시각자극에 의해 일어난 긍정/부정 감성 상태에 대해 전두부와 후두부에서 뇌파를 측정하였다. 시간-주파수 분석을 행하고, 특정 주파수 세부 대역에서 상대출력의 시간에 따른 변화를 살펴보았다. 긍정적 감성상태에서는 느린 a 파의 증가가, 부정적 감성상태에서는 빠른 a파일의 증가가 관찰된다. 이러한 상대출력의 시간에 따른 증감을 통해 긍정/부정 감성상태의 분별 규칙을 설정하여 측정된 뇌파에 적용을 보았다.

Short and Efficient Frequency Hopping Codes (짧고 효과적인 주파수 도약 수열 생성)

  • In this paper we propose three methods to generate short hopping sequences for the frequency hopping system. First, we explain the one coincidence set of sequences and the polyphase power residue seqences which have been known previously, and we suggest a method by modifying the one coincidence sequence and two methods by using the power residue sequences. We verify that the optimal position deleted-power residue sequences have the best Hamming autocorrelation property and the first position deleted-power residue sequences and the modified one coincidence sequences follows with respect to Hamming autocorrelation. We also explain that these sequences have the good balance property and can be implemented with low complexity.

  • In this paper, we attempt to analyze consumer preference for the alternative-fuel vehicles based on data from a stated preference using the conjoint analysis. Five possible fuel types (gasoline, diesel, CNG, LPG, Hybrid (electricity+gasoline)) are covered in conjoint cards. To estimate and analyze consumer preference, discrete choice model is used. Specifically, Bayesian mixed logit model is used. Based on estimating results, we discuss the business strategy and policy for the alternative fuel vehicle.

  • The paper addresses an application of molecular dynamics technique for fracture mechanics. Molecular dynamics simulation is an atomistic approach, while typical numerical methods such as finite element methods are macroscopic. Using the potential functions, which express the energy of a molecular system, a virtual specimen with molecules is set up and the trajectory of every molecule can be calculated by Newton's equation of motion. Several three-dimensional models with various types of cracks are considered. The stress intensity factors, the sizes of plastic zone as well as the dislocation emission are sought to be compared with the analytical solutions, which result in good agreement.

  • This paper focused on the dynamic behavior of camshaft in a direct acting type valve train system. To investigate camshaft behavior, transient vibration analysis is performed by using the transfer matrix method. The camshaft is treated as lumped mass system supported by spring and damper. Front the presented analytical model, we could predict dynamic behavior of camshaft, shaft locus within bearing and bearing load. The presented mode and results will be very helpful to design the optimal camshaft and valve train system.

  • This paper introduces the development of the analysis and design program of valve train system. In order to verify the stability of design and improve the performance of system efficiently, it is required that integrated and interactive simulation program. The presented program is developed in the base of the object-oriented, capsulation, modulization, OLE (objected linking and embedding) and various design theory. It contains the expandability and flexibility of the structure. In addition to that, it is programmed to make the convenient user interface by using the visualization programming. This program can support the modification of the valve element as well as the development of the valve train system in the beginning of design. It is expected to save the cost and time for the design of valve train system.
