We got the growth distance curve by spline smoothing method with observed marketing data and the growth velocity curve by the derivation of the growth distance curve. Using this growth velocity curve, we defined the several characteristic points which describe the variation of marketing data. In this paper, to specify several patterns of marketing data, we suggested characteristic function by using these characteristic points. In addition, we applied characteristic function to the seventeen brands of electric home products data.

최근 내장형 리눅스(Embedded Linux)에 대한 연구가 활발하게 이루어지고 있다. 그중에 내장형 리눅스를 이용한 감시 카메라는 DVR(Digital Video Recorder) 시스템과 카메라와 내장형 보드가 합체된 일체형 카메라를 개발하는 부분으로 연구가 진행 중이다. 본 연구는 내장형 리눅스를 바탕으로 한 웹캠을 이용한 인터넷상에서 감시시스템을 컴퓨터상에서 구현해 봄으로서 웹캠의 구조와 감시 시스템에 대한 연구이다. 내장형 리눅스를 이용한 웹캠은 인터넷을 통한 원격 감시와 DVR 서버를 통한 영상 편집, 제공을 할 수 있다.

This paper presents the utilization of waste concrete as vertical drain material. The materials used as vertical drain material were the waste concrete, obtained from the demolished apartments or concrete structure and sand. In this study, laboratory model test was performed to investigate settlement and bearing capacity between sand compaction pile and waste concrete compaction pile. The results of laboratory model test showed that the improvement efficiency of soft ground by waste concrete compaction pile was better than sand compaction pile.

In on-line character recognition, to segment input character is important. This paper proposes an internal character segmentation algorithm. The internal segmentation algorithm produces candidate words by considering possible combinations of Korean alphabets. In this process, we make use of projections of strokes onto the horizontal axis to remove ambiguities among candidate words. As a result of experiments, the internal segmentation algorithm shows better performance than external segmentation algorithm as the gap between sample characters becomes smaller.
