국내 가압경수로형 원전 계획예방정비기간 주요 방사선작업에 대한 납 차폐복 선량저감효과 분석 (Analysis of a Lead Vest Dose Reduction Effect for the Radiation Field at Major Working Places during Refueling Outage of Korean PWR Nuclear Power Plants)

  • 국내 가압경수로형 원전 계획예방정비기간에 수행되는 주요 방사선작업에 대한 감마선 에너지 분포를 측정하였다. 고방사선구역 작업시 종사자가 착용하는 대표적인 납 차폐복에 대하여 감마선 에너지 분포에 따른 차폐효과를 평가하기 위해 전산모사 방법을 이용하였다. 전산모사는 MIRD형 인체모형에 추가적으로 납 차폐복을 모델링하고 측정된 감마선 에너지 정보를 이용하여 수행하였다. 주요 방사선작업의 평균 감마선 에너지는 일반적으로 방사선방호 과정에서 적용되는 기준 방사선에너지 보다 낮은 것으로 평가되었다. 방사선 방호 목적을 달성하기 위한 효율적인 납 차폐복 착용을 위해 방사선작업 지역의 방사선에너지 분포평가의 필요성을 확인하였다.

아르곤 가스의 주입이 붕소 도핑 다이아몬드 전극의 특성에 미치는 효과 (Effect of Argon Addition on Properties of the Boron-Doped Diamond Electrode)

  • A boron-doped diamond(BDD) electrode is attractive for many electrochemical applications due to its distinctive properties: an extremely wide potential window in aqueous and non-aqueous electrolytes, a very low and stable background current and a high resistance to surface fouling. An Ar gas mixture of $H_2$, $CH_4$ and trimethylboron (TMB, 0.1 % $C_3H_9B$ in $H_2$) is used in a hot filament chemical vapor deposition(HFCVD) reactor. The effect of argon addition on quality, structure and electrochemical property is investigated by scanning electron microscope(SEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD) and cyclic voltammetry(CV). In this study, BDD electrodes are manufactured using different $Ar/CH_4$ ratios ($Ar/CH_4$ = 0, 1, 2 and 4). The results of this study show that the diamond grain size decreases with increasing $Ar/CH_4$ ratios. On the other hand, the samples with an $Ar/CH_4$ ratio above 5 fail to produce a BDD electrode. In addition, the BDD electrodes manufactured by introducing different $Ar/CH_4$ ratios result in the most inclined to (111) preferential growth when the $Ar/CH_4$ ratio is 2. It is also noted that the electrochemical properties of the BDD electrode improve with the process of adding argon.

  • The histological and histochemical study of the body of axis and 1st intervertebral disc in the Korean native cattle fetus was attempted to early developmental process. The experimental animals used in this study were collected from fetus of the Korean native cattle ranging from 50mm to 180mm in Crown-Rump length(CR-length). The results were summerized as follows: 1. The ossification centers appeared centrum 1 and centrum 2 of the axis in 110mm CR-length fetus of the Korean native cattle. The centrum 2 was formed little earlier than the centrum 1. 2. The histochemical reactions for collagenous fibers in the axis revealed negative in 50mm CR-length, mild positive in 90mm CR-length, and strong positive in 110mm CR-length, respectively. 3. Dense collagenous fibers were observed in the notochord through the centrum 2, and intervertebral disc developed into cuneiform dorsoventrally, It's contour looks like an annual ring. These fiber bundle arranged lamellar formation. 4. The intervertabral disc of 50mm CR-length fetus was composed mainly mesenchymal cells, and these cell showed aggregation in the central portion. The intervertebral disc of 110mm CR-length fetus was consisted of pricipally fibroblast, and notochordal sheath formed with two layers in the center.

한국산 꿩의 고환수출소관의 구조 (The structure of the ductuli efferentes in the Korean native pheasant(Phasianus colchicus korpowi))

  • The morphology of the ductuli efferentes of the Korean native pheasants were observed in order to obtain a basic data for further studying reproductive physiology and other male genital organs. The mature (14-16 months after hatching) male pheasants were used in this study. The specimens from pheasants were collected on a monthly basis. The general morphological changes of the ductuli efferentes were observed with hematoxylineosin stain, and semithin section by light microscope. The ultrastructural changes of the ductuli efferentes were investigated with ultrathin section by transmission electron microscope. The results obtained are summarized as follows : 1. During the breeding season, the average height of ductuli efferentes epithelium was $23.45{\pm}2.34{\mu}m$ and was largely decreased by $17.85{\pm}2.01{\mu}m$ during the non-breeding season. The thickeness of interstitial tissue was comparatively increased during the non-breeding season. 2. During the breeding season, the epithelial cells of ductuli efferentes were well developed. During the non-breeding season, epithelial layer and lumen of ductuli efferentes, were markedley reduced compared with those of breeding season. 3. Morphological changes of the ductuli efferentes underwent periodic changes paralleling to the spermatogenic cycle. 4. At least two different cell types were identified in the epithelium of ductuli efferentes, namely non-ciliated and ciliated cells. 5. The ciliated cells possess many vesicles, slightly smaller than those of the non-ciliated cells. 6. The ciliated cells contained numerous mitochondria, smooth and rough endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi complex, lysosome, and oval nuclei. The non-ciliated cells had a irregular nuclei and a cytoplasm containing few organelles. 7. During the breeding season, a number of vesicles, rough and smooth endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi complex, and mitochondria were distinctively showed in the epithelial cells but in the non-breeding season only a few observed.

대두와 면 혼방직물의 염색에 따른 태의 비교 (Hand Value Assessment of Soybean/Cotton Blended Fabric after Natural and Synthetic Dyeing)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the dyeability, and the hand of soybean/cotton blended fabric after dyeing with natural and synthetic dyes. Soybean/cotton blended fabrics dyed with extracted solution from turmeric, sappan wood, gardenia and synthetic dyes(weak-acid dyes, reactive dyes, direct dyes). The hand value of soybean/cotton blended fabrics dyed with 6 different dyes was measured using Kawabata Evaluation System. The results are as follows; 1. The K/S value of the soybean/cotton blended fabric dyed with sappan wood extracts was the highest. 2. The color fastness of the soybean/cotton blended fabric dyed with reactive dyes was excellent. The fastness to the light of the same fabric was much better than the other fabrics. 3. Linearity of load-extension and tensile energy of the soybean/cotton blended fabric dyed with sappan wood extracts showed very high. Shear stiffness of the soybean/cotton blended fabric dyed with weak-acid dyes was much higher than that of fabric of dyed with reactive dyes. Bending property of the fabrics dyed with natural colorants(sappan wood, gardenia) showed very high, but that the fabric dyed with reactive dyes was very poor. 4. In the primary hand value, stiffness and anti-drape stiffness of the fabric dyed with weak-acid dyes showed the highest. Fullness and softness of the fabric dyed with weak-acid dyes showed very low.

보행 과정에서 발생하는 복합 근육 활성의 양성 및 음성 공변 메커니즘 (Positive and Negative Covariation Mechanism of Multiple Muscle Activities During Human Walking)

  • 보행 과정에서 여러 근육이 동시에 수축하는 운동 모듈 또는 근육 시너지는 매우 중요한 중추신경계 운동조절 메커니즘이다. 본 연구는 걷는 동안 근육 간 양성 및 음성 공변 패턴을 이해하는 것을 목표로 한다. 본 연구에서는 트레드밀 보행 시 발생하는 다리 근육 활성을 근전도 검사를 통해 측정하였다. 동시 수축근육 그룹, 즉 운동 모듈을 확인하기 위해 우리는 양쪽 4 개의 다리 근육(전경골근, 내측 비복근, 대퇴직근, 내측 슬괵근)에서 근전도 데이터를 수집하였고, 이를 바탕으로 비음수행렬분해 및 주성분 분석을 수행하였다. 이후 근육 또는 운동 모듈 간의 다양한 조합으로부터 공변이 값을 계산하였고, 이원배치분산분석을 이용하여 각 조합들에서 발생하는 공변이 패턴을 비교하였다. 그 결과, 다양한 조합 사이에 유의미한 공변이 값의 차이가 발견되었다(p < 0.05). 같은 운동 모듈로 정의된 특정 근육 사이에서 발생하는 근 활성은 양성공변이를 보여주었으나 운동 모듈 사이에서는 음성 공변이를 보여주었다. 모든 근육 조합들 사이에서는 음성 공변이가 발생하였다. 운동 모듈 사이에서 안정적으로 발생하는 음성 공변이는 운동 모듈이 복잡한 운동 조정의 제어 단위(control unit) 일 수 있음을 암시하고 있다.

철 킬레이터로서의 tetraphenylporphine의 혈관평활근세포의 성장억제효과와 고분자 코팅막으로부터의 방출 특성 (Anti-Proliferative Effect of Tetraphenylporphine (TPP) as an Iron Chelator on Vascular Smooth Muscle Cells and its Release Profiles from Polymer Coating Layer)

  • The drug-eluting stent (DES) implantation is a widely acceptable treatment for coronary heart disease. It was reported that iron chelator had anti-proliferative effect on human vascular smooth muscle cells (HA-VSMCs). In this study, tetraphenylporphine (TPP) was selected as an iron chelator and drug for DES. MTT assay showed that TPP had antiproliferative effect on HA-VSMCs. TPP and polycaprolactone (PCL) were coated onto stainless steel plate using a spraycoating method. From the surface morphology examination of the coated plate by SEM, smooth polymer coating layer could be observed. The thickness of coating layer could be controlled by changing repeating time of coating. From in vitro release test, sustained release of TPP was observed from plate during two weeks. Thus, TPP as iron chelator can be used as drug for stent coating because of its antiproliferative effect and sustain release profile.

모형을 이용한 미호천 유역의 하천수질 예측 (Prediction of Water Quality in Miho River Watershed using Water Quality Models)

  • The QUAL2E and Box-Jenkins time series model were applied to the Miho river, a main tributary of the Geum river, to predict water quality. The models are widely used to predict water quality in rivers and watersheds because of its accuracy. As results of the study, we concluded as follows: Pollutant loadings in upper stream of Miho river were determined to 57,811 kgBOD/d, 19,350 kgTN/d, and 5,013 kgTP/d. The loading of TN in Mushim river was 19,450 kgTN/d, respectively. As the mass loadings were compared with pollutant sources, it concluded that the farming livestock contributed highly to mass emissions of BOD and TP and the population contributed to TN mass loading. The observed water quality values were applied to the models to verify and the models were used to predict the water quality. The QUAL2E Model predicted the concentrations of DO, BOD, TN and TP with high accuracy, but not for E-Coli. The Box-Jenkins time series model also showed high prediction for DO, BOD and TN. However, the concentrations of TP and E-Coli were poorly predicted. The result shows that the QUAL2E model is more applicable in Miho basin for prediction of water quality compared to Box-Jenkins time series model.

회전원판 반응조를 이용한 Pseudomonas sp. KS-96에 의한 gallic acid로부터 Pyrogallol의 전환 (Bioconversion of Pytogallo from Gallic Acid by Pseudomonas sp. KS-96 using Rotating Disc Contactor)

  • Gallic acid로부터 pyrogallol로 전환하는 균주를 토양에서 분리 동정하여 얻는 Pseudomonas sp. KS-96의 균체를 회전원판 반응조에 고정화시킨 후 연속전환을 시도하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. Gallate decarboxylase의 활성은 배양 24시간에서 가장 좋았다. 반응조의 원판에 gallic acid가 함유된 액체 배양액을 시간당 20m${\ell}$씩 공급하면서 균체막의 두께가 steady state에 도달할때까지 공급하였다. 균체를 고정화 시킨 후 시간 경과에 따른 전환율은 18시간부터 36시간에서 전환율이 높았다. 균체 고정화 후에 gallic acid를 15g/${\ell}$ 함유하는 기질을 시간당 30m${\ell}$씩 주입했을 때 pyrogallol의 전환율이 가장 좋았으며 회전원판 반응조에 의한 연속적 전환은 6일에서 8일까지가 각각 81%, 80%로서 가장 높았다.

Al 6082-T6 고속 MIG 용접에서 기공방지를 위한 용접공정 개발 (The development of welding process to prevent porosity in high speed MIG Welding of Al 6082-T6)

  • 알루미늄 합금 Al 6082-T6는 최근에 개발되어 북유럽 등의 선진국에서는 그 뛰어난 해양 내식성과 우수한 강도로 인하여 해양구조물의 헬리데크(Helideck), 타워 갱웨이(Tower gangway), 알루미늄 피팅류(Aluminium fitting)등의 해양구조물과 플랫폼(Flatform), 알루미늄 래더(Aluminium ladder)등의 선박부품, 차량, 기계부품 분야에서 전 세계적으로 널리 사용되기 시작하였다. 그러나 전통적으로 용접금속의 기공은 결함으로 분류 되고, Rakesh Kumar 등의 논문에 따르면 용접 시 용접금속 내에 발생되어진 미세기공이 기계적 성질에 악영향을 미치는 것으로 보고되어졌다. 따라서 용접금속내의 발생하는 기공을 방지하는 용접공정의 개발이 반드시 필요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 Al 6082-T6 고속 MIG용접에서 기공방지를 위한 용접공정을 개발하는 것이다. Al 6082-T6의 7t 플레이트에 Al 5356의 와이어를 사용하여 아크길이 변경 및 용접속도를 60cpm과 120cpm으로 변경하여 실험하였고, 용접속도 120cpm의 고속 MIG용접에서 토치 진행각을 변경하여 실험을 진행하였다. 용접공정 파라메터 변경에 따른 기공율 측정은 이미지 분석 소프트웨어를 사용하여 정량적으로 분석하였다.
